I've known for a while that I was gay. I was just denying it for a long time. About two months ago I finally began to accept it. I really want to come out and begin to tell people, but I'm nervous about it. My school isn't exactly what you'd call gay friendly and my parents are homophobes. So, I was just wondering, how did YOU come out and tell everyone? Maybe your stories can help me.

Homie The Clown I've known for a while that I was gay. I was just denying it for a long time. About two months ago I finally began to accept it. I really want to come out and begin to tell people, but I'm nervous about it. My school isn't exactly what you'd call gay friendly and my parents are homophobes. So, I was just wondering, how did YOU come out and tell everyone? Maybe your stories can help me.

Well... I first came out when I found an interest in both genders. I knew that the love I had for male and female were both real love and sexual love as well. I told my best friend... I didn't know she would get mad at me for it and ignore me for 3months. I was afraid to tell anyone else after that. My other best friend, Ashley, I have the biggest damn crush on her. It was sort of weird to tell her that I really liked her... it turned out she was bi as well... but the thing that made it a bit worse was she used to like me but gave up and is now engaged.... to a person she met online. I know I'm jealous but I still love her even if she is engaged. She's 16, I think it is a bit young to be engaged but what the hell do I know.
As for my parents... my mom found out by being a friggin idiot and read my journal. She and my Dad are homophobes so my mom got mad at me and said to cut the crap. She said cut the crap when I told her that I do not believe in a god. She didn't tell my dad though... he would hit me for it.

Well, I came out to everyone in high school, in middle school only my closest friends knew, but everyone found it as a huge surprise because I "looked straight"...0_o.
I came out to my mom on a car ride to school, I'm not really willing the repeat that story and I'll just say we had a loooong talk when we both got hoem that day.
Anyways, I've come out to pretty much everyone I know except some of my family members who probably couldn't take it.
I just simply told them, nothing more to it than that.

I came out to my closest m8s first... very surprised they were O_o but they all accepted it. Then i started to come out to my friends and colleuges and ive only came across one homophobe

the only people that know i'm bi are my husband, little sister, my aunt, my best friend, and a couple other friends. i have yet to tell any of the rest of my family. not sure how they would take it sweatdrop

Ninjara the only people that know i'm bi are my husband, little sister, my aunt, my best friend, and a couple other friends. i have yet to tell any of the rest of my family. not sure how they would take it sweatdrop I have told none of my relitives, parents ect. i don't think they could take it xd

Damn, that sucks... gonk I came out to this girl I really liked in a note, but she didn't like me back, and since then has decided she's "straight," though I think she's lying. I've now come out to all my friends and tell basically everyone who asks at my school. My school is pretty accepting, but there is your usual mass of homophobes. I can't tell my parents; they'd disown me. They're both really religious and really homophobic. crying
