Tali smiled, wondering around town with a spring in her step. She had always been a huge anime nerd and today she was heading down to one of her favourite haunts to buy herself something new to watch. Her pigtails bounced up and down as she walked, the young Meadowview student was in a good mood today - which was not uncommon however she had been really stressed lately so it was a change for the better. Maybe she had finally found that balance in life again. Her bright eyes scanned the shelves until she finally came to the anime section, of how magnificent it was!
A grin came onto her face and she rubbed her hands together, she had her night planned. Go home, play WoW, get some ice-cream and then watch the new addition to her collection. She put a finder to her chin as she thought. She has already bought and watched most things here. The room of this young lady was a shrine to everything nerdy, video games, manga, everything was bright and outrageous! She wondered if her shelf actually had enough room to hold another DVD or if she was finally forced to start piling them on the floor. Suddenly something new caught her eye (yes she knew this section well enough to notice even the slightest change to the composition), the new Full Metal Alchemist was out! She was hooked on the series. Where was her Roy Mustang? She giggled and reached out to grab it.
However it looks like she was not the only one with her eye on the prize...

Talim was, indeed, not the only one with her eye on the prize.
Matthew quite liked this store - it was one of the few places that carried subbed DVDs, didn't charge an arm and a leg, and... it was a shrine to everything nerdy.
Most importantly, no one he knew ever came here. At least, as far as he knew. After all, anime was something for kids. Teens, maybe. But he was a college student ! It would just be awkward.
Just like the fact that he reached out for the same DVD as Talim at the very same time was awkward. Yeah. Matthew paused. It looked like the last copy... Damn. "You can have it." He offered. He could just download it, then buy it once it came back in stock.

Talim's eyes darted over to look at the boy next to her. Of cause it was hers, she got here first however she had also never seen him hanging around this section before and since she basically lived in this place it made her quite curious. "I did not know anyone else was into FMA. Most people in this city stick their noses up at anime." She stated, all the people she talked about it with where online.
She held the DVD down by her side and turned to look at him. "The name is Tali, good to know I am not the only one with good taste." She stated with a small smirk.
This one was good looking, very much so, she would have to keep her eye out for him.

This wasn't exactly the reaction Matthew had expected, and he was left surprised for a moment. That was new. He was usually looked at a little oddly when he came around here, unless they thought he was shopping for a younger sibling. And well... pretty much Talim's words on it.
Usually this would be where he would have started denying in block and making s**t up. But this one... Well, what would it hurt ?
"Yeah, it's pretty rare, I admit." Matthew shrugged. "I really like Arakawa's works in general, and the second anime is so much better than the first." Pray for your souls, those who dare disagree. "Oh... Name's Matthew."
