Steady patience and a relaxed attitude are her weapons of choice for fighting through life's hardships. She's a natural leader though she'll tell you otherwise, being a humble person. While she may be very friendly even to strangers, she's also picky about who she trusts. She already lost her parents, Mari doesn't want to have to go through the torment of having to bury her younger sisters, too. She has a very practical way of viewing things, though even she can appreciate the simple pleasures of life. Depending who she's around, anyways. She doesn't like to waste time being vague, and quickly grows irritated with people who do. She's often busy with errands dealing with her less then legal mailing operations, and doesn't like to be interrupted or watched while on the computer or phone. Running an underground economy isn't easy, especially with an energetic sibling bouncing off the walls and an older sister who's never home.
She can be bossy at times, but it's tough love as far as she's concerned. Nakita's name means 'unconquerable,' and she likes to think that her parents chose that name for a reason. She's very passionate about what she does because smuggling is her family's livelihood. If anything were to go wrong, what's left of the Ivanova family would most likely disappear. Since she's often left to entertain herself, she likes to stay outdoors most of the time. Upbeat just like any other child her age, she's aware that the remnants of her family are in a tight situation, but still tries to remain cheerful to lift everyone's spirits. There's really not much she can do to help the family business out, so she tries to find other ways to make her sisters' lives less of a burden. Like doing chores, for one example.
Due to the lack of any real father figure in her life right now, she's grown a bit fond of Dimitri's company, and treats him like an uncle more then a hired guard. He even taught her how to shoot a gun! Much to her sisters' disdain, of course.. One thing she's extremely partial to is her dream of becoming an airplane pilot one day, like her older sister Mari. Well, almost like her older sister, considering that she flies illegally sometimes.. Ivanova Family History:
Founded around Andrei Ivanova's smuggling operations, the Ivanova family was something that wasn't planned. But then again, who could ever expect to fall in love at the most inconvenient of moments? In Andrei's case, he had met Tamarah through a client, who had wanted to pawn off the young woman to some perverted politician. While escorting the female from Russia to Europe, somewhere along the way mutual feelings began to bloom. Taking money from his own funds, Andrei bought Tamarah from his client before any official transactions were made between the politician and his employer. Running off together, the happy couple decided to stay in the smuggling business. If it had brought them together, perhaps being criminals wasn't so bad after all?
Over time, they had three daughters together. They lived comfortably, though Andrei was away for lengths at a time on business trips. When Mariemaia had come of age, she too wanted to help out the family business and became a pilot soon after. More often then not though, she was told to stay at home to take care of her sisters while her parents took care of things. It was a pleasant and relatively peaceful life, for a while. One day, Andrei and Tamarah just never came home. After asking around the underground market, rumors reached Mariemaia that her parents had been killed doing a job in Africa. And to make matters worse, her father's clients were still expecting jobs to be done. None of the sisters took the news well, that much can be said for certain.
Having no real options available, and too scared to turn to the police, they could only agree to keep Ivanova Unlimited running. Looking to ease up the pressure put on them, they decided to try and call in some favors from people who owed a debt to their parents. The only person who really responded to their pleas was a man named Dimitri Solomon. He was no stranger to the girls; they had seen each other before while he was doing business with their father. The most he could offer was strong arm tactics against people who threatened them, but that was better then nothing. And so, Nakita and Innochka are headed off to Nirvani Island. As for Mariemaia, she will be visiting her surviving family as often as possible; but remains away most of the time on business trips.
