(( Entering after traveling from the Lighthouse! ))

Deli rather enjoyed the idea of hitting the beach after their little trip. He could imagine being in swimming trunks and sandals, the warm sun hitting his face, people laughing instead of screaming in pain, and the worst thing happening being a fallen ice cream scoop in the sand.

Oh, luxuries . . .

"Welcome to Murder Island Hotel Resort!" he chirped as they skirted the shoreline, making elaborate hand gestures towards random areas. "Our humble establishment was made back in the 1920s when things sucked but not nearly as much as they do right now. If you follow me, we will hit the bar where your complimentary drinks await. Later in the day, we will have a bonfire with games for prizes~!"

He almost believed himself, the enthusiasm he pervaded in speaking. How desperate he wanted it to be real, despite him offering it as humor for his traveling companions.

((Entering from Lighthouse Travelling Thread))

Theta Seven was not quite AS enthused to be on the beach but he was content enough as he tried to keep his hand linked with Little Sister Thea as his mind had taken to labeling her. He'd pause now and again to get a good look around before he'd continue to follow Deli as he rambled about something or another, he was paying enough attention in order to sass him with, "Oh how delightful, it's almost like our Dante's Inferno vacation last year."

His humor seemed to be a bit on the dry side or at least lacking in part.

The masked man gazed around at the beach as he walked, "Think we'll find anything around here? A clue maybe? Or is it just good times with imaginary beach babes?"

[Entering from 'This Beach Sucks Man]

Sand, sand and more sand. Oh and water. An endless supply of sea water, so it was pretty much useless. Not that Delta 5 would have taken to drinking from strange pools of water around here anyways... just her luck it would turn out to be some kind of monsters home and she'd get eaten or some such thing. Good grief... her mind had seemly taken a few dark turns lately as she'd begun to wander around on her own. Though with what had been happening, could anyone really blame her? Thank goodness the voices had stayed away this time, probably due to the fact that she could actually see where she was going instead of just blindly wandering and wondering what was going to jump out at her next.

Though... it seemed that there were other people here. And ones from the Lighthouse area as well, as she spotted their suit colors from a distance. 'Well this could be a good or a bad thing... depends on if they are one of the friendlies or the stabbies. she thought to herself, but continued to slowly approach the small group. "Hello there... I come in peace..." she called out, feeling a little odd for using that line but not really sure why.

At Thev's questioning, Deli took a quick look about. "Well! Dunno if we'll find anything, but if we use our imagination real hard -"

And then he heard what was a somewhat familiar voice. Somewhat in that it seemed like an age since he heard it. "Hold up." Deli tried to track the source of the voice, his hand creeping towards his belt to the weapon - like he'd actually use it, but still! "Show yourself and state who you are," Deli said to the fog, voice still even despite his defensive posture, eventually distinguishing a figure slowly moving towards them.

Even if it was who he thought it was, you couldn't be too careful.

Slowly Delta 5 raised her hands, showing that she wasn't holding any weapons that could be shot or thrown. Still wearing her backpack with the knife zipped up inside, not the wisest choice considering she was heading toward some unknowns at this point. But hey... if they wanted to attack her at least she'd put up a fight. "I'm Delta 5, came over here from the Lighthouse area" she called out loudly while slowly walking towards them. This could get messy if this wasn't taken very carefully.

"Really, I'm not here to hurt anyone... just trying to find my way around this place."

Delta Five. Five . . . Five . . . Ah! Deli's posture relaxed some, though he was sure Thev wouldn't. "That one's good," he muttered in a low tone to his friend before she arrived. "Steady heart and steadier arm."

He then turned to Delta Five and waved a tad. "Well, bit of a sight for sore eyes there! Where's the rest of the crew?"

For that matter, where was the rest of . . . everyone? The beach felt desolate.

Oh Theta Seven. Special, pretty Theta Seven.

He glanced back to try and see what Theta One thought only to find that his hand had been grasping at air this entire time. How did he not notice? How could he be so delusional? This entire time he had himself conned into thinking he had a hold of Thea's hand only to discover that it was not so. Theta Seven was flummoxed and abruptly hid his hand behind his back where he hit the bag where he kept his weapons he stored in there only to feel a box shape where the medkit would have been.

Theta Seven felt a flood of relief and then gazed over at Deli as he spoke about their new visitor and just shrugged. Deli could lower his guard all he wanted. Theta Seven wasn't going to be a sucker - nope! The fact that he was holding on to air and looking foolish did not make him a sucker - it just made him really, really silly.

He decided that the Island was getting to him, everything was and he needed a rest - a nap - a something.

"As long as you don't attack us we're cool," Theta Seven drawled quietly feeling decidedly tired and lazy as he just unceremoniously flopped down onto the ground to sit. He didn't care what the newcomer thought of his behavior, he obviously needed the rest if he was believing this entire time that Theta One was still in tow.

Delta 5 couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief at seeing Deli relax, giving a little wave back. She was curious what they had been through, though as she got closer she spotted the numbers on the others helmet. "Oh hey! Your Theta Seven! Well you know that but yeah... Delta 9 will be glad to see you again I'm sure. She is around here somewhere. I was with a group for awhile of a few Deltas, but they all moved on somewhere else a day or so ago..." she said rather sheepishly, since it had been her own fault that she'd gotten left behind after all.

"Not sure where everyone else is... once the fog cleared we all went our own ways. The few who were together when you all disappeared, we stayed together for awhile. Nothing big happened, just traveled and wandered a bit." Where to go from here... she had no idea... but hey, one never knew. Suddenly she heard her phone going off again and with a small groan, Delta 5 slipped it out of her pocket to read the message. "Good grief... day 4 already..."

Seeing Delta 5 pull out her phone reminded Deli that he had one of those accursed things, and with a small gulp he pulled it out and learned that he had not checked the past 2 messages.

Day 4. Three more to go . . . And a special test? Deli was quite happy to avoid that; no more tests for him until the end of this, thanks!

But . . . He turned to where he had expected Thea to be in order to introduce her as well, but a small cold hand grasped his heart when he noticed she wasn't there.

What . . . ? But she had been there just . . . AGH. How could he have been so damn blind?

Blind to Thev's own apparent guilt, he worriedly said, "H-Hey, er . . . Thea wander off or somethin'?" She wouldn't have, couldn't have gone to that test out of curiosity, right? No way . . .

Deli might have suggested backtracking, but it had taken them forever just to hit the beach. And the damn fog, that damn fog! She could be anywhere.

God, if you exist, please let her be safe. Please bring her back to the group unharmed!

God's busy, said the dark little voice with an even darker chuckle. Satan on the line. How may I help you?

His hand tightened into a fist, and he jerked a little at the armor above where his heart was uncomfortably, turning back to address the others. "Well, er . . . We could always, uh, sit down and take a break?"

Maybe if they just sat down and maybe got some sleep . . . But could they, with them knowing that things lurked in the shadows? What if they were killed before they woke?

He startled a bit as he heard the newcomer suddenly call out his 'name'. The male blinked behind his mask as he peered over at her and then seemed a bit more ... happy and responsive. Delta Nine was still alive?

..Wait she got separated from the group this person and Delta Nine was in. Shame. He nodded a bit in understanding, "She'll be fine," he said with some hope etched in his voice. He only regretted that he couldn't stick by her side and now he lost Thea so far his track record was the ability to keep Deli around. Not that it was a bad thing of course.

Theta Seven checked his glorified beeper (he no longer thought of it as a cellphone) and checked the messages he had missed up until the most recent one. At least none of the new ones requested him personally - a good thing. He felt sorry for the poor b*****d that had two pendants on him and only briefly wondered if they still lived.

He flicked his gaze over toward Deli and shrugged a bit, "I...thought I had her hand but I guess not. I am sure she'll catch up soon. Thea should be able to find us; it isn't like we're hiding in the thick fog filled areas."

That'd be dangerous.

Theta Seven wiggled his butt on the sand, "Way ahead of you, buddy." He was at least relaxed enough to sit and stay seated.

Delta 5 just stood there, not sure what to do now honestly. It seemed that one of their group had disappeared for the time being... and despite the best intentions, she wasn't sure if it was the time to offer to go looking or even keep watch if they wanted some rest. "Not that I'd blame ya if you turned down the offer, but you two want to get some rest, I'll keep watch. Just got up not too long ago myself so I'm good for awhile." Least they could do was say no and she felt that she needed to do something.

Taking a glance over across the sand they seemed to be alone for the time being... though when you sat and thought about it, even just the bit of fog that was left seemed eerie. Sighing heavily Delta 5 dropped her pack to the ground and crouched down, unzipping it, grabbing her knife and tucking it into her belt just in case.

The effect was immediate: like he had been given permission just by watching both of them sit down, Deli flopped to the sand as well, shrugging his backpack off in order to us it as a lumpy sort of pillow. God, but it felt nice to sit down again . . . He had forgotten just how long he had spent walking or standing or fighting.

"Our beds are of the finest quality here," he commented, continuing the hotel analogy from before (though Delta 5 probably might think he's a few screws loose). "And breakfast is served in bed at any time of the day or night. Simply dial this number and a waiter will come in thirty minutes or less or it's free~"

He leaned his head back and sighed, feeling somewhat drowsy himself. Delta 5's offer was very tempting . . . Although . . .

Falling asleep is the easiest way to get killed, the voice pointed out. How do you know she will not stab you both and steal the pendants and your kits?

Not getting rest is an easier way to get killed, Deli pointed out, and then yawned. Chances are the first stab will wake me up. Or so I'd hope!

"Alright . . . 'Preciate it, ma'm," Deli murmured. "But, er . . . Wake us up if you see a theta girl coming. Teal like Thev here, has a gun."

He doubted he'd actually sleep, but even dozing would be nice.

((Entering from the Lighthouse Travelling Thread and CRASHING YO BEACH PARTY!!!))

As if his words had summoned her, a faint teal glow was the first sign that Thea was arriving. Then she was crashing toward the group, trying to run in the sand to the best of her ability but failing rather miserably at it. Some part of her memory recalled sand and her general disdain for it, but she kept those thoughts to herself as she spotted her previous companions.
"DELI! THEV!!" She shouted, waving her arms for one brief moment before she caught sight of the new comer. In a lightening quick move her gun was out, her body tensed and ready to fire at a moment's notice.

"Hello newcomer." She sounded calm, slightly threatened, but not like she would do anything dangerous. "State your name, your nickname if you have one and whether you are friend or for. You lie and I shoot you. I'm a very good shot." A moment of pause. "You can ask Deli and Thev here. We've fought together. I do massive amounts of damage."
Perhaps it was rude to go about boasting of one's abilities, but this island was turning all sorts of people into horrible things (Thea included) so she just couldn't be sure. Better to be safe than dead, really.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 14, 2011 7:34 pm

It seemed like they all had screws loose to a certain extent... though Delta 5 couldn't help but shake her head and laugh a little at Deli's comments as he laid down. 'Can't forget the little chocolates on the pillows and fresh towels in the morning.' she thought to herself, yawning a little. A yawn? What the hell was this..? The waves were soothing and she wasn't tired but maybe it was just contagious.

Shaking it off, Delta 5 took her post and started to look off down the beach, keeping an eye on things when Thea arrived. Well the other two would be happy at least, and seems that she was unharmed for the most part. Though when the gun came out that was a bit of a surprise. Obviously she wasn't there hurting them. Hell, if she'd wanted to she could have tried it already even if it meant a spectacular fail. "Oh good grief, not more of this crap again. Hun... put the pea shooter away, rubber bullets against a knife aren't going to do you much good hmm? I'm Delta 5, a team mate of Deli." Normally she wasn't this irritable, but with the lack of blood, scratches and other battle wounds on her it was pretty obvious that fighting people wasn't on her agenda today.

"They were tired so I offered to keep watch. Feel free to do the same if you want." No need in seeming totally hostile, though she was having less than pleasant feelings towards being threatened all the time. Sure, this place made people do horrible things it seemed, but that didn't mean they all did.

No offence to the Delta Five person but he planned to stay up for a bit, especially until Thea turned back up which thankfully she did after a few moments though her enthusiasm seemed to dwindle once she realized that there was someone knew to the mix that changed the dynamic of the group. He shook his head a bit, "No need to threaten and bluster, Thea...She's okay so far... We haven't gotten her a nickname yet - nor did she give us one..."

Delta Five...Dive?

"Could call her Dive or something, unless you got somethin' you prefer?" He was all for making the new person feel included and part of the group. She'd be less likely to turn on them if she was a part of them - maybe. He looked over at Deli and waited for him to react to the reappearance of their lost 'family member' (if he was still awake anyways) before he went carrying away the conversation from everyone.

"Either way Thea, I think it's okay to take a load off for a minute and relax until the next thing happens and we move on..." He offered quietly to help try and soothe her a little. "Didn't mean to leave ya behind, I seriously thought you were there the whole time..Seems I was holdin' on to thin air the whole time," he laughed a bit feeling foolish.
