Tawa'di Kanati, the ancient and last known nvwati, was slowly making his way towards the outskirts of the Ela'wadiyian lands. He felt an odd urge to brush against the barriers, as if something was there for him to discover. He knew to not fight these urges, for he was a proven seer, and with that came great responsibility. Responsibility that he was never comfortable with, but knew that if he didn't at least try, the life of the Ela'wadiyi could shatter. His bones creaked as he made his was through the rough grasses. It hadn't rained in a while, and though it wasn't too warm, the earth was parched for some blessings of the sky. His deep forest-coloured eyes scanned the area around him, wondering if he had walked far enough to please these urgings. They had quieted for a time, but they could just as easily return. Feeling a little worn from just that short walk, the greying nvwati slowly lowered himself onto his haunches, sighing at his old body. How he missed being a youth, the strength and carefree attitude that came with it.

Adi'sa stood and panted amidst the grasses, the flys lingering around his dry mouth. His lids heavy from fatigue, and his hallucinations indistinguishable from real life now, he took a few moments to catch his breath. But he couldn't.
He laid his skinny frame down. And almost instantly, his head drooped in tiredness, his eyes almost completely shut.
Don't close your eyes
We'll protect you
Don't believe them!
The voices were back. Adi'sa clenched his eyes shut, and would have done so with his ears if he could.
"Go...away..." a growl started to rumble in his throat. "GO AWAY!"

Tawa'di's ears flicked as the air slowly brought a voice to him. Is this what I am to find? The ancient lion slowly pulled himself up, grumbling about how he was just too old to be doing this. Where was a nice little girl to take care of him and bring him food? Of course, that would never fit a nvwati, but it would be nice to not have to worry about himself so much. His giant paws crunched the grass underneath then, his fully tattooed body making it's way towards the sound. He paused for a moment as he got a muddy view of the lion in his mind, his seer-side giving him an idea of what he'd probably find. Looked like...an Ela'wadiyi? This was certainly news! He didn't recognize the fellow, since most of the few surviving Ela were all grown, or nearly so, and very few of those were young males. His mind didn't give him a name, but more of an inkling that yes, this was what he was 'sent' here for. His pace slowed as he gained grown between them, his fatigue slowly starting to return.

Adi'sa shuddered on the floor, breathing erratically, his eyes still shut tightly and his paws covering his ears. Laughter. Screams. Howls. They all roared in his ears, no matter how much he covered them, no matter how much he tried to think of something else, something nice, something that might banish the nightmares.
The something like windchimes broke through the tumult of inner noise. It was soft and gente, and somehow remined Adi of his mother. He opened his eyes and threw his paws to the ground in disbelief. He looked around feverishly.
"Hello? Is anybody there? Can-can someone...hear me...help me...?" he called out.

The seer's ears flicked forward at the words that this male spoke. He didn't seem blind...and if he wasn't, what was wrong? Tawa'di may be old, but he was still pretty big for his age. He wasn't that hard to miss either, with his age easily viewable by his greying mane. He finished the gap of earth between then, and stood just infront of the lion. He peered down at the boy that still was on the ground. "Help you with what, little lost son?"

Adi'sa looked up. His vision was still blurry, and he couldn't get any focus on the elder lion. But for all he knew, he could be hallucinating again. Afterall, he had seen his dead family twice on his journey.
His teeth chattered a little as he reach out a paw to touch the other lion. He needed to be sure this lion was real or fake. His heart skipped a beat as he made contact with Tawa'di's paw, and Adi'sa practically threw himself at the elder lion, nuzzling into the large mane. The tears he had tried to fight back burned at the corners of his eyes.
"Please make them stop! Please...they're all around," he said amid deep breaths and little sobs.
It was somewhat undignified for a male to cry and be so upset, but Adi'sa didn't care. Someone had found him, he wasn't alone any more.

Tawa'di had seen some sort of this thing before in his lifetime. The feverish dreams-that-were-not, they stole his 'children' and often killed them. If not, they were mad for the rest of their lives. This one though, this one was different. He could tell in his mind, his training, and through his abilities, that this one was special. One with nvwati-potential. His throat slowly produced a low rumbling. That cursed DarkFire pride, they had slaughtered his friends, what little family he had, everything. The diseases they carried had kill what had survived from their slaughters. And the ones that didn't die, seemingly were filled with a curse that was hard to break. But perhaps, with the StarGrove, that could change. His growl still remained, but his mind flickered. Could he really take such a feverish lion all the way to the StarGrove before it went mad, and even killed him? There was no way to tell, no way to judge. Even with Seer-abilities, the future he was shown were many, and only one might be true. And even now, his own 'spirits' of sorts didn't show him anything. He had to decide on his own judgement. But if this one really could be a nvwati, he'd better start this training, and start it now. "Little lost son, can you do something for me? Fight through these fevers, and tell me your answer. Only then can I help you. You must help yourself first."

((If Adi'sa sounds a little young, its because I'm RPing him as a juvenile still, just a bit before he hits adolesence, if thats alright xd He can always age quickly after this part then))
Adi'sa murred softly, his eye-lids still clenching tight in order to trap the tears in his eyes where they belonged. He nuzzled into Tawa'di's mane for a few moments, imagining this must be almost like having a father. A pillar of strength for those odd times where strength failed him. And then...that moment...the voices dimmed. Adi'sa could finally hear the sounds around him for the first time. His heart beat. Tawa'di's soft breathing.
He sniffed and then lifted his weary head to look at the elderly lion with baby-blue eyes. "My name is Adi'sa," he said with a smile, not quite comprehending the elder lion. But already he felt calmer.

Tawa'di himself was feeling tired, yet relieved. Obviously the lad had shoved away whatever was possessing him, if for a time. He had strength, and the more necessary mental strength that he would need if he would train this lost son. Tawa'di gave a broad smile, and patted the dark-coloured male on his head. "Well done there, little son. You do not seem so lost anymore." Tawa'di, being the normal humble guy that he was, gently pushed off the other lion, backed up a pace, and bowed, if just a bit. "Welcome, little son, whom you call yourself Adi'sa. I am Tawa'di Kanati, the eldest and last of the Bird Clan, the nvwati-seer for all the clans. I welcome you to the border of the new Ela'wadiyi lands, and which I presume ends your pilgrimage to the pride's new lands."

Adi'sa had forgotten his manners whilst in his state of confusion, and mentally chastised himself. If his mother had been here, she'd be so disappointed in his lack of manners towards the elder.
"Oh..pleasure to meet you, elder Tawa'di," he replied and returned the polite bow of the head.
In all the time of his wandering, he had forgotten the journey he and his sisters and his aunt had begun, and it took a while for Adi'sa's tired mind to absorb the fact that he had survived. He had made it. But deep down, in the pit of his stomach, something was niggling away at him. Although he had found another like himself, in more ways than one he would come to relaise, he felt so lonely. The last of his family, and maybe even the last of his clan.
But he made himself ignore all the little feelings for now, and just tried to concentrate on the here and now. Hmm...nvwati...where...have I heard that before? Adi'sa tried to roll the word around in his head for a few moments, but couldn't remember.
"Are there any others?" he asked, quite bluntly.

The nvwati's face grew grim. "There are only a handful of us left. Thankfully these lands are peaceful, for we can barely sustain ourselves, let alone protect one another..." His voice trailed off. He had probably gone a little too off topic. He looked back at the little lion and smiled. "But yes, soon our numbers will grow, if only a little. Children are slowly making their way here, and it is a joyous time indeed." The lion pulled himself up, turned a bit, and started padding away, if very slowly. He was old, and the cub was young. Young, but frail. He motioned with his tail for the little one to follow him, side by side, his voice ready to give another little speach...if the young lion didn't have any more questions, that is.

Adi'sa listened raptly, that little wisp of hope tinkling around his skull and taking hold. Children are slowly making their way here..., those were some of most exciting words he'd heard in a very long time. Maybe any of the other Earth cubs had survived, and he wouldn't be so alone.
Adi'sa was almost lost in a daze when he noticed that the old lion had got up and started to pad away. He got to his feet, battling his fatigue, and trotted alongside the wise old lion.

Tawa'di gently slowed his pace, to not tired either one of them out soon. He smiled at the young lion, and gave him another bow with his head before continuing. "Well, as I stated, it seems that more of our kin are returning. Which is of much joy indeed." He continued on his way, keeping quiet for just a moment. "Now, you are one of the youngest that I have 'seen' to return, but I am sure that you will get along fine with whom we shall run into." He let the words hang in the air, for the young Adi'sa to take in. "But first, I think we should trek to a place called the Stargrove. Perhaps we can rid you of what seems to posess you?"

Adi'sa's feet marched on diligently, like they had done for days before. His head was tilted upwards, looking at the elder as he spoke, trying to absorb whatever wisdom and advice he could impart. And it would seem that Adi'sa was a listening a little too intently, as he stumbled right over a stray rock in his path.
"Ooomph!" he growled, falling onto his belly. He got back up really quickly, more embarrassed than anything else.
He continued to trot beside the elder. It was then that Tawa'di mentioned the Stargrove.
"The Stargrove?" he perked his ears. The comment about being posessedhad practically gone un-noticed by the youngster simply because he didn't know what it meant.

Tawa'di looked back at the younger, and gave a soft laugh. He stopped his pace, but still stood. "Perhaps we should rest first, find some water and shade? Then I might tell you a little more about what I know." The old lion bobbed his head down, getting to eyelevel. The Ela'wadiyi were not large lions, but his size was still younger then the young juvenile. His greying mane was a large one, which gave him the illusion of being larger then he really was. His old tattooed skin sagged a bit, but there were still strength underneath the strange patterns. His eyes glistened as he waited for a reply.
