This website should at least cover some of your concerns with what the game is about, what happened throughout the series, what you need to know, etc. http://www.silenthillmemories.net/main/main_en.htmRegardless of whether your doing a research project, or doing something like that, this game-based storyline will not make much sense to you if all you've ever heard about Silent Hill is Pyramid Head, the Movie version, and the Arcade Game. While all may have some true information, you won't find enough to understand what is going on.

i just got silent hill shattered memories, but its reeealllly scarry to me. resident evil, funny as heck, left 4 dead, even funnyer but i really needs to know some things 'bout silent hill. (p.s., my comp is broke so i've been useing my Wii)

(p.s., my comp is broke so i've been useing my Wii) If you've played as the real Harry Mason from the first Silent Hill ending, and then compare shattered memories as a remake, it ends up not even really being a Silent Hill game, I thought that Shattered Memories had a terrible ending. sad Believe me if you know enough about what happens in Silent Hill 1 and have seen the 3rd one as well, it's like one huge middle finger to the series. T.T Ok ending, but at the same time so terrible.
