Adam had taken to brooding on the flight deck when hank wasn't around. Even if that included putting up with everything smelling like grease and hair. Infact, he swore he could feel some hairs were stuck to him. He swatted them off and kept staring out at the setting sun. Been a long first day at Xaviers Mansion and he was sort of liking it, his roomate was a cool guy. But a total slob.

Backpack swung loosely over one shoulder, toying with the zipper as he walked; Nathan found his feet were leading him towards the flight deck - he usually went there, checked if Hank was about for some nerdy talk outside of the confines of a class room and generally to take in the overall quietness of the area. He was caught up in his thoughts but quickly dropped the mental conquest as he noticed the awkwardly lanky form of his room mate; grinning a little and moving over towards him; sighing as he spoke to make his pressence noticed.
"Its beautiful huh? You....know its a hologram right?"

He turned to the other boy running his hands through the sky. "I guessed it was because everytime I went to spit over the edge I didn't see where it went. Literature class was kinda empty today except that girl who played blackjack. Kinda mysterious." He shrugged and turned to admire the x-jet as he spoke. Hank kept it pretty shiny and from what he could understand most were taught at the school how to pilot it when they became an X-man. A class he looked forward to.

Screwing up his nose; Nathan giggled and lowered his bag; following Adam's line of sight taking a few moments to register his words.
"Oh? Yeah she's a bit strange; doesn't talk much from what I know."
He slowly lowered himself to slump against a bench, carefully peering back to make sure his elbows didn't knock anything.
"So what brought you here?"
He dragged out the space between the 'so' and the 'what'; his tongue clicking slightly against his teeth from the metal rod through the small pink muscle as he spoke.

"To brood. You know, do that s**t that all teenagers do. It's just so new here and all. I've only got you as a friend since all the other kids have melded into their little cliches. No offense and all."
He looked at the other boys tongue. 'What is his power useful for in a squad, vibrating the women into submission? I wonder if he's capable of the speeds I can run at. '
"Fancy a race?"

Quirking an eyebrow and clicking that small little muscle in his mouth a tiny bit faster to cause a short steady burst of tapping from his teeth before settling it back down; his hand rubing at his chin; still supporting his weight on one arm.
"A race huh?"
He spoke with a faint show of interest; disreguarding the shaking tin of pencils to his left from his own body against the metal bench.
"I'm not one for speed in that context; you'd surely beat me. I'm not a racer."

He stared at the boys vibing tongue ring and clenched his teeth as it stopped. "So what does your power do? I mean I've been trying to figure this out for a little while. If we were under fire where would you fit? I mean I guess you could make all the girls clench their legs shut or something?" he asked in a confessor like manner.

This assumption made Nathan chuckle, pushing some of the dirty blonde locks from his brow; shaking his head a little. The notion was hilarioud and partially true; he could - if he so desired; bring a woman to her brink in a matter of seconds. But that wasn't what he used his gift for.
"Close..."
He lifted a hand to Adam, motioning for him to stay where he was, taking a stance that seemed only to be on the covers of graphic novels. Seemingly mentally preparing himself, making sure he wouldn't loose his cool.
"Hold on tight..."
The final words needed not leave his mouth before he the ground seemed to come to life, a surge of shaking force jittering its way violently towards Adam's feet. Not enough to damage the boy but enough to shoot up his legs into his lanky form, Nathan doing his best not to harm the other. Cups and tools fell off the bench to Adam's left, objects on the floor danced at both his feet and at Nathan's own,

He grabbed the wall before him and tried to keep himself still the ground was shaking something fierce and it wasn't until Adam realised where they were when he realised his counterpart hadn't put much thought into this. "Stop! You'll cave us in...we're underground!"

Nathan's eyes widened a little and his shaking settled down as quick as it had started; a light swinging above shook hard before slowly stopping; Nathan looking back at Adam, his cheeks flushed a little; smiling slightly.
"But....you get the idea."
It was then the light over head, began to creak, suddenly snapping from its place, Nathan's shaking having loosened its holding on the celing; causing the light to begin to fall over the young blonde.

Adam had just finished holding on when he smiled and turned back to the boy. "Even I couldn't vibrate that fast....do you think you could be like kitty? Vibrate your body through w-?" the light had fell, a millimetre away from making contact. Everything seemed to slow down as the electricity pumped through his system, firing his synapses faster than everything around him. Planting one foot in front of the other he pushed the boy out of the way of the light and pinned up against the x-jet using his body instinctually to offer protection.

Letting out a shocked yelp Nathan could barely register from having the space behind his back to now having the cool metal of the X-Jet forced against his back where his shirt had ridden up just to expose the slightest hint of skin at his hip.
The sound of the light crashing to the ground made him aware of the situation as he peered past Adam to see the point where he was standing was now a meddled mess of cords and metal.
Too busy looking at the mess that he could have been currently trapped under he didn't notice that he was quivering still quite heavily beneath Adam, big bright gold eyes staring widely at the heap, arms unconciously balled up against his own chest.

He was panting at the short burst. It had come as such a shock, excuse the pun. He took a second to relax before falling on his bum and glaring up at the balled up boy. "You could've been seriously hurt....seriously" he stood up and ruffled Nathan's hair.

Unable to hold back the small choked up giggle at the back of his throat, his body settling slowly into its normal shaking he looked up at Adam thankfully, smiling slightly.
"T-thanks dude....I owe you huh?"
He reached behind himself to adjust his shirt but still didn't move for a long moment before glancing to the hole in the celing where the light once was.
"We should get out of here...before Hank or anyone sees what we've done. I'm not a fan of detention."
