I get some of what is going on with Smogon. Even though there is no official tier list yet, there are things Smogon has done. On of the things Smogon has done that really sticks out is the banning of Blaziken as a whole.

Bullsh*t, if its only speed boost thats a problem why isnt yanmega banned?

Flare Blitz and Hi Jump Kick set it over the top. I've been trying to follow GameFAQs complaints in regards to it, but honestly, it seems like the door is shut on Blaziken getting moved into Ubers, unless of course Speed Boost is banned on Blaziken as the Agilitykens required at least one vunerable round of setup.

True, another moveset I saw is that Brave Bird Flare Blitz Hi Jump Kick Swords Dance.

I think we should just ban speeded blaziken for here.
Something else I noticed is that SheerForce overrides life orb recoil, I see Darmartian and or Druddgion with sheer force being OU

Well we don't always 100% agree with Smogon. Remember when Salemence got banned on Smogon we all decided to keep it in our OU.

Smogon has banned Blaziken as a whole that means even with out speed boost it is still banned. I don't agree with that. With out speed boost Blaziken is back to being inferior to Infernape.

Smogon has banned Blaziken as a whole that means even with out speed boost it is still banned. I don't agree with that. With out speed boost Blaziken is back to being inferior to Infernape.

I really do understand why Smogon would ban this pokemon. However, I am against the notion of just banning a set up per se. If we were to do that, wouldn't be safe to assume that we would do that for other Ubers. I'd hate to see a rules stating, you can use this, but not with this or this. That starts to become too much a nuisance to keep track of it all when its just easier to ban it out right and be done with it.

Well, Smogon usually runs Simulator battles for thier statistics and the idea of banning a single ability seems very likely as that would be the first time they've ever done such a thing. If Speed Boost Blaziken were to be banned (and not Blaziken as a whole) then it would just be assumed that any Blaziken encountered would have the Blaze ability and not Speed Boost and just like someone using OHKO moves or Hax items under Standard Clauses, it would be considered an automatic forfeit, and I don't see it being any worst than that. It's not like Speed Boost can be hidden all that well from the opponent. pirate

Not exactly hidden, what i meant was, you request an NU battle and your rival in turn bring up a tyranitar or an OU and you met a dialga, kyogre and such things... we´ve all been there o-oUU...
about the speed boost... well we´ll see... sharpedo doesn´t sound so bad with it XD

I've been waiting a while for this topic, I just didn't want to bring it up because Blaziken has been my favorite pkmn since 2003!

Now I was very VERY happy to see Blaziken obtain Speed Boost! But I had no idea how big it was gonna impact the tiers till I fought one in a Random battle! But it really depends on who is using a SpeedBoost Blaziken, because so far I have fought 2 of them in Random Battles! 1 of them got raped by my Porygon2, but then on the other hand another 1 raped my whole team! I see why it should be banned after 1 match, but I also felt the same against a Scarfed Darmanitan!
