Triple was always by herself since a very young age. As soon as it was clear that she could take care of herself, her parents let her do just that. They were skilled ninja and went on very long, high-ranked missions and they didn't even tell her they were leaving. They just went silently into the night. No one ever told her if they were still alive or not as the days passed. But that was alright with Lucah, she was always used to being alone, and even preferred it that way most of the time. When her parents were home, they were just raging alcoholics and wasted away all the money that they had earned from missions. She ran errands for her neighbors and eventually earned enough money to buy a dagger in case her parents tried to do anything to her in their drunken fury.
They were off on a mission as usual, Lucah working on her Academy studies, but her mother came back only hours after they had left, alone. She said that father died on a mission. She drank all she could, took all the soldier pills she could, and tried to strangle her daughter. Lucah tried to run away but her mother just kept chasing her, blaming her for her father's death. Lucah brought out the dagger she bought and stabbed her mother in the leg just hard enough to slow her down to have enough time to run away to her grandma's place across town.
Her mother died of alcohol poisoning that night. Having no place else left to go, Lucah just decided to stay with her grandma and take care of her and her debilitating health. Although she's had struggles in her life, she eventually made it out of the academy and became a genin.
