Aryah was stalking another kill, she ate only when hungry but recently her nerves made her stomach twist and the only thing that calmed her was the hunt, her whole focus going into tracking and finding what it was she needed to find. Ever since Mocca had told her of his decision, Aryah couldn't stop the shakes sometimes "He never saw what i did ... but i won't leave, he's family" he muttered to herself.

Eventually she came across the strong scent of deer and she licked her maw. Even if she wasn't going to eat it all herself, she could bring the small pack to it. She crept closer and closer, the deer had already been injured at some point and had a limp so Aryah had no worries about the kill .. until a foreign wolf scent shot across her nostrils... female by the scent of it, but she suddenly grew very nervous and as she pounced at the deer, she stumbled and caught her teeth on a hard rump instead of soft neck.

Glacier wandered the strange lands. She was lost. She could not find her way back. Everything and everyone she knew was gone. All because of him! He had led her on, taken her far from home and then left her there alone. She was starting to show now. How many pups would there be? She feared for their survival as much as her own, with no pack and no mate to protect them.

She snarled to herself as she stalked through the woods. If she ever saw him again...she would bite off his unmentionables for doing this to her. Thats if she lived to ever see him again. Her blue coat flashed in the sun's rays as they poked down through the trees overhead. She was starving. Hunting was becoming harder as the pups grew and developed in her womb.

It was hen the scent of blood and flesh came to her on the wind. Her nostrils flared as she stopped to sniff. Could it be another wolf's kill? Or perhaps an injured beast that would be an easy kill? She was not sure but she was desperate to eat. Her stomach rumbled and she decided it was a chance she would have to take if she was to ensure she and the pups survived. She couldn't not eat.

With this decision in mind she headed towards the faint scent of blood. However she was not prepared for the sight of a wolf attached to an injured deer's rump.....

Glacier could see the femme needed help or she would lose the kill. It would not benefit either of them if the kill got away, so without a second thought Glacier leapt at the deer, her teeth finding its neck. The warm taste of blood filled her mouth and she locked her jaw, holding on tight and ripping teeth through flesh as she shook her head, until it laid lifeless before her. But all the energy she had was spent from not having eatten in days, and she felt dizzy before falling to the ground unconscious.

Ayrah was barely holding on, she could feel her grip slipping on the deer when the body beneath her teeth, thudded from another's Impact and Aryah's nose was filled with the scent of another wolf again. She would normally have fled from the other but her teeth were locked on the rump, even though her grip wasn't the greatest, her instincts and body clenched.

She shivered fearfully as the other wolf brought down the deer by it's neck, tearing flesh and killing it quickly. She released her jaws the moment it as down but something about this wolf made her hesitate running off. Her hesitation was rewarded slightly by the female collapsing to the ground, senseless. "Oh ..." she exclaimed, her body quivering with indecision, she wanted to go see if the wolf was alright because she could now see the swollen belly of pregnancy, but she was also worried that the other was faking. She didn't run, but she didn't move closer for a while either.

It was some minutes before she summoned up the courage within herself to slowly crawl towards the female. "H.....hello?" she whimpered, nose just touching the fur of the white and blue wolf.

Glacier suddenly found herself in a nightmare. A predator was chasing her. It wanted her pups. Running in fear she fled, fearing what delicacy this beast would make of her unborn pups. She cried for help, but no one answered...no one came. She was alone without protection. Quickly becoming weary she fell to the ground, unable to get up or continue. She could make out glowing eyes approaching her slowly, as it snarled baring its teeth. "please...don;t hurt my pups" was all she could manage to whisper.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, her legs twitched from the nightmare as did her voice whisper her fears, her pleadings. She had hit her head hard when fell unconscious, so it was unclear how long she would be out. How long would she have to endure this nightmare? It felt so real she believed it was.....

And it was then, from the touch of the unknown wolf snapped her back to reality and she awoke with a start, bu she was weak. Unable to move, get up or run away. She looked at the other female, fearing for her own pups, but as she gazed at her, she could see the same fear in this one's eyes. For some reason, this wolf was afraid of her?

"I cannot get up right now. Please, whatever happens to me, don't let anything hurt my pups...please..." her eyes pleaded with his female for help. She knew she could not survive on her own.

Aryah's nose worked to take in the scent of the obviously pregnant wolf in front of her, she inhaled deeply and whuffed the breath out, ruffling the fur of the unconscious wolf. Suddenly the other began to twitch, her legs moving as if she were trying to run while laying down, barely heard please rang clear in Aryah's ears as the trees seemed devoid of life in this tense moment. Aryah skittered back out of range of a blow if the female decided to attack when she woke.

She shivered as the older female did wake, just a few short moments after Aryah had moved, "thank goodness i moved out of the way" she thought but her eyes softened a little, until the female began to gaze at her, she hated being stared at, in any form, it made her shiver as she remembered other eyes staring hungrily down at her. "Y...you can't ....g...g..get up?" she stammered a little, swallowing hard and summoning up some courage to step a little closer, timidly.

"I would not hurt pups" she said, swaying her body on her front legs from side to side in her nervousness "Wait there" she said pointlessly as she moved to the kill that the older female had helped bring down, she tore open the belly and dragged out the most tender parts. Carrying them in her mouth over to the female, she placed them by her head "H...here, you need it m..more than me" she said haltingly.

Glacier tried to get up but failed. She was too weak. Taking down the deer had used up any remaining energy she had. She would have to rest and wait until strength returned. She watched the timid wolf as she spoke with a stutter. Was she afraid of her? But why? Glacier would never harm another unless they meant to do her and her pups harm first. "It seems I have no strength to move at all..which outs us at risk." She motioned to her belly to indicate she meant her pups and herself by us.

"Oh, my dear I never meant you would hurt them. I would only ask if something happened to me...please..make sure they live a good life...that they survive." She moved slightly to at least be more comfortable if she was stuck in this place for the moment. "I can see it in your eyes. You'd be a good mother. Something in your eyes compels me to trust you. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. Yours speak volumes of a good heart, one who would never bring harm to others. "

Her eyes scanned the younger female as she watched her rip into the kill. Glacier's stomach complained and growled loudly as the scent of fresh blood reached her nose. She noted the lovely shades of brown and splashes of white. An interesting coloration. But to her surprise the female brought meat to her. "but..what about you? You need to eat too. This is your kill by rights. I only helped. " Her mouth watered and her stomach grumbled...but she would not eat if it meant this one did not eat also. She could not take from the young wolf. It just was not in her nature to deprive others.

Aryah titled her head, staying just out of reach as the female tried to get up again. Her stomach was in knots as she was torn between fear and caring towards this wolf. She was weak and didn't pose much of a threat to Aryah right now but though her words were kindly, Aryah was still afraid that the other could turn on her.

She nodded and smiled shyly at the female when she corrected Aryah's assumption, "s...sorry" she said, her paw tracing the ground in front of her, claws digging in the dirt a little. She turned her head away at the praise though. "Oh! .. n...n..no i'm not having pups.....ever" she said, dismissing the lovely comments. "but....th.thank you" she added, keeping her eyes averted from the other's direct gaze.

She indicated her head to the deer when the other spoke of not taking the meat. "Its....a big Deer, there is plenty of it for me to eat" she said proudly. "Those parts will.. help your puppies" she added, laying down nearby, feeling a little less anxious. "I'd have lost the kill if you hadn't helped, it's as much your kill as m..mine"

Glacier watched as the young female seemed to nervously paw the ground lightly. She smiled warmly, hoping she would realize she would never cause her any harm. Her face saddened a bit at the statement about never having pups. "Really? why not? you'd make a great mother. I wish I had not been so....." She paused a moment, trying to think of the right word. "Foolish" she finally said. Her thoughts turned to Isiros. Oh how she hated him now for doing this to her. For playing with her heart and leaving her to fend for herself....carrying his pups!!

She shook her head, dismissing thoughts of him for the moment.
"Well then you can play with mine anytime you wish once they are born. Next best thing to motherhood." She tried to smile, but her heart still ached from Isiros leaving her as he did. She was slowly replacing any feelings for him with hatred and anger.

She chuckled a little at the young one. "Alright then...if you insist, but only if I see you eat too. You need your strength too. " She carefully took hold of a nearby piece and chewed slowly, carefully. She did not want to rush it into her stomach, even though she was starving. That could chance her throwing it up if she ate too fast. She was thankful for the help this one provided her. Little did she know she had saved Glacier's life and that of her pups, and for that she was eternally grateful.

Aryah glanced at the female then back away again at the mention of pups again. "n...no i couldn't" she mumbled, flinching as she broke off before saying Foolish, "You're...not foolish....males can be.....persuasive if they want to be" She shuddered, remembering the pack of males that tore her from her family.

She brightened a little at the offer of being able to play with pups, she even smiled a little more and didn't glance away from the female so readily. "Th...thank you, that would be very n...n..nice" she said gently, until she noted the expression the female tried to hide from her face and it make her shake a little and want to move away, just that slight flicker of hatred and anger made her more afraid than the usual aggression of a pack.

She looked towards the other female when she chuckled, the flicker of emotion gone from the blue female as fast as it had appeared. "I will eat.... i just don't like to ....in front of others" she said slowly and carefully, hoping not to offend her.

Glacier's eyes cast downwards a moment. "the words you speak are true....but..." she sighed softly and raised her eyes to meet Aryah's gaze. "Not all males are like that. Perhaps one day we'll both be lucky enough to find a loving mate. " She looked away a moment, chewing her food thoughtfully as she thought about how Isiros had tricked her. But she would not let the little lives inside her pay for her mistakes or his wrongdoing. She would love them and raise them to be strong, proud wolves.

She smiled warmly as the young female seemed to brighten up at the offer to play with her pups. She chuckled softly.
"Well I only have myself to look after them. No pack and no mate to help protect their dear little lives. Do you know these lands? I am a stranger here...I need to find a safe place to have the pups and raise them." She was taking a liking to this wolf. She hoped in her heart that perhaps she would stick around and help her raise the pups. Who needed a male after all? Two females could easily raise them and keep them safe and fed....couldn't they?

Glacier sighed.
"Well its not like I can really move anytime soon.... Why don't you like to? " Her eyes were filled with concern as she looked towards the other. "Please...just eat something. I wish I could give you the privacy to eat alone but alas as you can see...." Her voice trailed off and she looked at herself laying in the dirt of the forest floor, then turned her gaze back to the female, her eyes pleading with her to eat something.

Aryah gave Glacier a pained smile, "The only male i will ever need is my brother" she said, gently as not to offend the she wolf. "He's started his own pack .. his mate is very nice and she's going to have pups sometime soon" she said, eyes misting over as she talked, suddenly confident for some reason "He hasn't many members but he's very nice.. he'd accept you ....if you wanted to join us, it would be hard to raise pups alone" she commented, tilting her head slightly in query as she waited for an answer.

When Glacier mentioned to Aryah about eating again she visibly flinched a little "I will eat... i just.... being on my own so long i find it hard to eat... but ....alright" she said, trying to keep an edge of nervousness out of her voice. She could see that if she could, Glacier would have given her privacy and with the heavily pregnant female so vulnerable, Aryah wasn't about to leave her alone. She moved to the other side of the deer and tugged, tearing a small chunk for herself and another for Glacier, taking the larger chunk to the other wolf first she dropped it carefully beside her before taking her own smaller chunk a short ways off, chewing very slowly, her whole body language that of someone who was completely self conscious and worried.

Glacier smiled softly at the young wolf as she spoke of her brother. Her smile grew warm as Aryah mentioned her brother would accept her and her pups as well. "thank you I'd like that. You;re right, it would be rather difficult. I'm so very far from everything I ever knew and likely I will never find my way back. Perhaps its time to start a new family here....with new friends." She winked at Aryah. She was growing fond of this young female.

Joining a pack would ensure her pups safety as they grew up. And of course, she had ton start over again anyways....might as well be with her new found friend. In a way, she needed her. Glacier wasn't sure exactly why but she felt Aryah was important somehow and that was not something she would let go of. She had never had a female wolf friend before. It was rather pleasant and she enjoyed the company.

Her thoughts turned to the mate she had mentioned of her brother who was expecting soon. Perhaps her pups would make friends their age and grow up together? Things were suddenly turning out much better than they had looked the day before....her life was not so bleak and burdened anymore. Her attention snapped back to Aryah from her own thoughts.
"I can understand how hard it must be. I've been lost on my own for weeks now...."

She watched Aryah and took note she was finally eatting some. She nibbled at the meat she had dropped for her, knowing her pups needed the nutrition it provided.

Aryah smiled and ducked her head a little. "New things can be f...fun .. as well as scary" Aryah observed. Giggling a little at the wink Glacier gave her. She sat and chewed slowly on what was left of her small chunk of meat. She thought hard for a moment as she looked on this female, she already felt almost completely at ease with her, which was something Aryah only ever felt around Mocca and sometimes his mate Symetric.

"Yes ... it's hard to be alone but i find it harder to be around others after......after my puphood" her tone made it clear she didn't want to talk about that just yet, one day but not today likely. "We need to find you somewhere safe, i need to go and find my brother but until we find you a den of some sort i'm n...not going to leave you" she said, glancing around the area they were in, she hoped they'd find somewhere soon, Glacier couldn't move very easily and finding a den was probably going to be hard, Aryah didn't really know, she's never really thought about it this hard before.
PostPosted: Sun May 15, 2011 2:05 pm

Glacier nodded in somewhat agreement. "This is true but fear is simply the unknown. The more one is knowledgable, the less there is to fear. " She let her tail swish softly as she laid content for the moment, comfortable for once since she discovered she was pregnant. She of course did not stare directly at Aryah. To do so would be rude when she knew she seemed to not like others around when she was eatting, much less watching her.

Glacier's face grew somber and a little sad as Aryah mentioned her puphood
. "I would I inquire as to what happened, but I am sure you don't really want to tlak about it. Its ok though. Often times its hard to discuss traumatic events in one's life" Her eyes were kind and inviting. Whatever had happened, it had done such damage to this young wolf.

Noting the quick change in subject Glacier nodded in agreement. "You're right, that we should do before darkness falls. " She could not help but smile as Aryah mentioned she would not leave her until she knew she was safe. She attempted to rise to her feet. Slowly she heaved herself up, front legs first followed by her heavy backend. Ok...now that she was on her feet, they could find somewhere for her to rest. She wagged her tail lightly, awaiting Aryah's decision as to what direction they were to go.

Aryah tried her hardest not to flinch when Glacier mentioned about her puphood, it wasn't something she wanted to remember, let alone talk about it but she wouldn't offend the female by saying as much, she knew that Glacier was only being kind, she didn't know how much it hurt Aryah to think about at all. "Sometimes Fear is knowing what IS out there .... not knowing would be a blessing" she said cryptically before shaking her head lightly.

She smiled and moved to stand beside Glacier when she saw the wolfess trying to stand, she could see how much strain it put on her body and Aryah winced inwardly for her. "This way .. i think there's a den under a large tree" she said, hoping she was going the right way as she trod ahead of the female, her tail between her legs as she glanced about as they moved. Hopefully very soon they'd come across the tree.....aha! there, it wasn't the best of dens but it would have to do. Aryah's tail lifted ever so slightly as she found the den. "Here ... i hope it's ok Glacier" she said to the female.
