It seems that the fog has all but disappeared, at least enough for a pathway to have unfolded from your destination towards other marked areas. Perhaps it is time to... expand territory. ((OOC: HOW 2 TRAVEL:Traveling between suforum locations is now enabled. Please follow the rules below in order to move subforum locations. Failure to use this subforum properly will result in a temporary rp suspension from the event.
- For EVERY person who wants to travel, they must post their character in this thread. This will put them in a TRAVELING suspended phase. - Please make sure to exit post your thread before posting in this traveling thread. - Simply post below in this thread a simple rp post with also your character's destination in mind ie: where are they heading? You can duo-post with someone else below and/or interact with someone traveling with you below, if you are headed towards the same location - It will take 12 ooc hours (approx 4 IC hours) to get from one location to the other, you must stay in this thread for 12 OOC HOURS, you can rp it out with your 'travel buddies' if you want, only if you are headed to the same location. - AFTER 12 OOC (real time) hours have passed, you may now rp your exit post from this thread and enter into your new subforums destination. Simply start a thread or invade a base camp, join the events, whatever you prefer to do in the new thread. - Any travel to any destination as marked below, it will still require the same process as above (you can ONLY travel to these four locations) - Your character can only head towards: - The Beach - The Cornfields - The Abandoned Town - The Lighthouse - Everywhere else, the fog is still too thick to travel towards! [[Delta Nine entering traveling thread]]
If there was one thing that Delta Nine was sick of, it was that damned Lighthouse. Second to the Lighthouse came the fog, but it had seemed to disappear for the most part. The path leading away from the Lighthouse was visible now, but Delta Nine did not want to go alone. She waited for Delta One (and hopefully Delta Five) to catch up: once together, they could make a plan of action and pick a direction to take.

((Delta One entering the traveling thread)) Delta One made her way over to the path, eager to be on her way away from the lighthouse. She was glad that at least one other Delta was with her, even if it was the Delta that she considered to be a little emotionally unstable at this point. Hopefully Delta Five was going to be with them as well, as she glanced over her shoulder to see if the other female was indeed following them along. "From what I saw of the map, the lighthouse, where we were, was west. North was the abandoned town, and south was the beach...not sure what was to the east, but I know there was something." She was half talking to herself, half to Delta Nine. "I'd be inclined to head to the beach first, honestly." She wasn't sure why, exactly. She had this faint glimmer of hope that the beach may pose some sort of opportunity for escape from the island. If not, then they could always head north and see what they could find in the abandoned town.

Delta Nine nodded. She'd been thinking that the beach was the best plan of action, herself, and was glad to hear that Delta One shared the same thoughts. "I do not want to go poking around in some abandoned town, and since we're not sure what is to the east, we'll avoid it."
Besides, maybe there was a boat or something on the beach.
"I hope Five catches up to us soon," Nine mumbled, bending her arm so that One could loop her arm through it. Even though Theta Seven wasn't here, it was nice to have someone else close by, even if Nine didn't completely trust them.

She almost smiled a little behind her mask. Almost. Linking her arm with Delta Nines, she spoke, her voice dry and without any amusement "Are we off to see the wizard?" before looking behind her, willing Delta Five to hurry and catch up with them. What could be taking her so long?Maybe she had changed her mind about joining them...Well, at least she knew they were on the path. They would just have to start out slow, and hope she either caught up (if she was just lagging behind) or decided to join them. And with that she began walking, arm in arm with Delta Nine, her mind wandering once again to Delta Three and Delta Eight, hoping that they would eventually run into each other once again. Chances were, now that the fog was clearing, there would be others making their way to the path. Delta One didn't bother removing her nun chucks from their place in her backpack, though. She was more confident in her fists then she was with some weapon that felt absolutely foreign in her hands. She kept herself on the alert, in case they suddenly found themselves under attack

(Delta 8 entering) Delta 8 had finally found a path under his feet, what luck. He'd gotten out of the of the fog unscathed, for which he was thankful, and now to decided where he was going.
He knew there was a beach, perhaps there. Maybe he'd be able to see better, no trees or anything would help him even if there was fog. He'd take anything which may help him, even if it was only slight. Delta 8 was really starting to dislike this island and being stuck here, might have something to do with his likely death looming on the horizon.
"I wonder if anyone else will be at the beach."

[Delta 5 entering.]
Ok... so maybe she wasn't as great when it came to navigating as she thought she was. Seeing as with just that little bit Delta 5 had lost track of Delta 1 and Delta 9, then got lost in the fog.. again. Well this didn't seem good, but at least she spotted the other two up ahead and let out a sigh of relief. Being left alone for too long wasn't a good idea in her mind and this place just seemed like it would get worse as they went along.
"Hey you two, sorry about that! Navigating isn't my strong suit I guess." she called out while catching up to the other two, laughing a little while scratching at the back of her head nervously. The map that would have helped out alot right now... well... she wasn't sure where that was or even where to start. "Any idea where you want to head off to...? I remember that there were cornfields to the east and a beach to the south, but other than that I don't remember much."
It felt like there was someone else there... and every once in awhile she'd catch a glimmer of green... hoping it was a friendly Delta out there.

((I think we should have all been in here OOCly for 12 hours by the time I wake up tomorrow and post, so that works out~)) Delta One slowed her pace yet more when she heard the footfalls of somebody coming up from behind them. A quick glance behind eased her thoughts, however, when she saw that it was just Delta Five finally joining up with them on the path. "We've decided to head South, to the beach" She answered to Delta Fives inquiry. "It just sounds...I dunno, safer then an abandoned town or.. did you say cornfields? That reminds me of about a dozen bad horror films right there" She paused. Horror films? How could she remember those but not even her own name? "Looks like somebody else has found their way to the path as well" She nodded towards Delta Eight, who she could see coming from some distance away. She couldn't make out who it actually was, not being able to see the number on the uniform from this far away, but it did look like it was a green uniform like theirs. After a moments hesitation, she lifted up her arm to wave. The other two might not want her to attract the attention of the other, but in her mind, it was three against one..not much of a chance the new comer would attack, and also a good chance it was somebody they'd already met.

{ Theta Nine enters the traveling thread, bound for the beach. }
It didn't take all that many steps away from the lighthouse wall for the mist to close in around Theta Nine again. Gritting his teeth, he trudged onward as best he could toward the south, toward his intended destination of the beach.
A compass would be really useful right about now, he grumbled in the solitude of his mind, but maybe it wouldn't help all that much. The land here, veiled in this strange mist, didn't seem to conform to the mundane laws of geography. He could only hope that Delta Four (now nicknamed Fedora) and Theta Two (now known as Tattoo) would be able to pull him around to face the right direction if he got too far off the right path.
As he walked, he had to let go of the earlier sense of relaxation he had been enjoying by the wall of the lighthouse, his eyes scanning the vicinity with care. His vigilance was rewarded with glimpses here and there of figures in gas masks off in the distance. He couldn't quite discern whether they were teal or green or some other color altogether. Just how many teams were there on this island, anyway? Walking onwards, he stayed on his guard. Even if those others weren't planning to attack him or his companions, there were other things to fear in this mist. He thought of the shadowy creature that had leapt at him earlier, of too-close encounters with the unseen edge of a cliff, and shuddered despite his best effort not to.

(( Delta Four enters the traveling thread, heading for the Beach. ))
Delta Fo -- no, Fedora, she reminded herself -- held on tightly to Thyme's hand, gripping it tightly for a second to remind him that she was still there, and to trust her. She was by his side.
"Looks like the fog's lifted up, at least for the pathway," Fedora murmured loud enough for the two to hear, lifting her head up and back slightly to see further up ahead. It was really no use; they couldn't see any farther than they could normally, but at least they could see at least where they were stepping.
And they were in it together, she reminded herself. She finally had a team. One she could count on.

[ Theta Two enters the traveling thread, bound for the Beach. ]
It was a thrill ride, the walk through the fog. It was terrifying, haunting, mesmerizing, and strangely enough, exhilarating to Theta-two. But the last part she tucked firmly in the subconscious of her mind, her heart hammering soundly in her ears as she tried to make her way along what could barely even be considered a path. The twists and turns, the uneven ground and the way the silence was cut in two only by the sound of heavy breath and soft voices now and again pulled on her mind, anxiety and excitement riding in her bones. At one point she wondered if she'd sat down and played a couple of true horror-worthy video games in the dark in her past life. She wondered if she screamed. Or if she laughed.
On one or more occasions, she very nearly believed they'd gone in circles, wandered and chased their tails in the dark. It wouldn't have surprised her. But then she heard the cry of the black ocean waves from somewhere in the distance, thought of the idea of a beach somewhere far off, but not so far away they couldn't find it. Navigating wasn't coming naturally to her, and each tug and pull on her hand she complied with easily, following the lead instead of being the leader herself. And strangely enough, she didn't mind. Theta-two imagined that she was more of the follow-the-leader type. Or perhaps the play-around-behind-the-scenes sort. Now, that second one seemed much better. At times, the girl had to force herself out of her thoughts to pick up her feet. It was hard, walking in such silence, the hole in her brain where memories once sat filling her with questions. It was a miracle that she hadn't fallen flat on her face yet, and even more of a miracle that she was still alive, though she had to partially thank Excalibur for that, and her quick growing self-preservation skills. Of course, they still had miles to go before they were in any shape to boast about, but at least she'd learned a little about... well, avoiding death. And fire-breathing horses. Yeah, that too.
Hackles raised though, she followed her fellow team into the mist, slipping in and out of contemplation as thoughts and ideas rolled about in her head. Soon, she heard Fedora speak again, a low laugh rising on her lips. "Maybe it'll be good to us now, huh?" She said ruefully. But she didn't trust the fog to be any less of an aggravation. An annoyance crawling under her skin and getting worse. She tasted the anxiety and adrenaline that rode her spine, she tightened her fingers a little harder around her companions as they moved. She thought about the monsters in the dark, and whether or not it was even smart to be on the move. And then she thought about the thrill, the terror of it all, and her heart jumped a little in her ribcage. And she began to wonder if she was sane or not. Here, or in the past that she could not recall.

Delta Nine laughed nervously at Delta One's little joke, catching sight of Delta Five running to catch up. Delta Nine exhaled softly -- it was good to know that they hadn't lost Five. Of course, she would much rather have Theta Seven by her side, but she didn't and she was trying to deal with it.
Delta Nine was distracted momentarily when her cell phone beeped. She scrambled for it, hoping that somehow Theta Seven had been able to send her a message. No, it was just another cryptic message that caused her nerves to skyrocket. Delta Nine grasped at the words that Theta Seven had said to her before she left. 'Buck up' -- that was easier said than done but holy s**t she gave it her best.
She wasn't sure how long they walked, and after reading her text message Delta Nine wasn't even sure if others joined their group or not. No, the only thing she spoke was a muted, "We're here," when her feet hit the sand of the beach.
(Will wait for others to post before exiting thread.))

((I'm here and ready to Exit)) After waving down what she assumed was another Delta in the distance, she turned back to the others to keep moving. Hopefully the other would catch up and join them. The more the better, right? It was only moments later, that her cell phone began beeping again, and she could here the beeps in stereo from both Delta Nine and Delta Fives phones. She almost decided not to even look at the phone. Everytime she did it just seems like what it had to say was more and more upsetting. But what if it held some clue to getting off this island alive? She sighed inwardly, and held the phone up, hitting the appropriate button to see the message. Look out for the shadows? Seriously? She shook her head. The message was slightly alarming, since they were travelling, and the message seemed to indicate that they should be weary of an attack. Also, was it day 2 already? It didn't feel like any time had passed at all. She hadn't slept, and she didn't feel tired? When had the sun gone down and come back up again? Curse the fog. Time just didn't seem to have any meaning anymore. As they continued on in silence, she stopped when Delta Nine did, and glanced down at the sand at her feet. "So we are" She murmured, also not feeling particularily chatty at the moment. She stole one more glance behind to see if the other Delta (Delta Eight) had followed or caught up to them at this point.

Dela Eight had spied someone, another Delta, waving to him. It was with a small amount of trepidation that he went after them. Picking up his pace to catch up. He wasn't sure they wouldn't attack him, it could happen. A narrowing of competition, though he didn't consider himself to be so. But when he caught up it seemed they'd reached the beach.
"It looks like were here..." Observing the feel of sand, though the fabric that encased his body. He really hadn't a clue what material it was that he wore, but it wasn't all that bad. That is to say it served it's purpose, but he wouldn't wear it voluntarily.
"Are we all going to stick together?" He asked, somewhat hopeful. He didn't want to get in to a battle, especially against three people. But more importantly he liked the group idea as it would help them in case of a large battle or even a small one. Better chances of surviving.
(Exit post. Shall join the others at the beach)

With a heavy shrug Theta Thirteen readjusted his backpack for the umpteenth time. Since leaving the fog with Theta Five the two had wandered north towards the town much like the original plan. The other Theta Members interested in going were far from his mind. He wasn't even sure how many made it away from the fog after the Horse Demon was fought.
For that matter, why did they run into a demon? Was it something brought about from being on the island? Did they upset soem ancient grave looking for those pendants?
"C'mon five, you might have been half dead a while ago but you gotta keep up man." He said putting the demon horse out of his mind. Best to focus on the important things like staying alive, keeping Theta Five alive, and getting to the town.
