( Sorry for the /text block/ had to explain how a mother AND daughter could get out of the pride XD;; )

The pride had an air of stiffness and the fact that she was cooped up in the royal den for so long off of illness that beheld her at childbirth. Her paws itched to take a walk. Although she had just gotten better- it was really a risk to have the Boss Lady out in such a state. But she had to make SOME sort of appearance, when she did. Her eyes looked over the pride in a way that felt almost natural now. Counting every walking soul that beheld the 'ground' floor of the pride. Raising her head high. So much as happened in her absence that it was really a bit overwhelming now. Her nieces.. gone. Her nephews.. Gone. Her ears panned down. It was time to refresh her body and as she started off to walk down the path to the ground before hearing tiny footsteps along her back side. A softness beheld her as she didn't even have to look down to know who it was that was following her.
For now, she'd play it off as she didn't hear her. The child, being cooped up in the den- she finely knew the characteristics of each cub of hers. Even Vailea's that she didn't notice before. No- only when your stuck in on place- without movement would you be able to pick up on such subtle things. Her tail slowly padding behind her as if to 'tease' the child to bat at it to reveal her location. Emi knowing full well that she should be stealthy- her mother knew so, so much better.
The light of her mother and father's eyes. Where all her siblings showed the immense strength and intelligence for the pride's traits- Emi, did not. She was 'bright' and free spirited, even gained the simple trait of smiling often. She was like the embodiment of innocence and it was quite refreshing. A similar trait that Vailea shared. Maybe they had been hanging around each other way too long since Nyoka birthed them. Emi's eyes watched her mother leave, it was the first time she had seen her mother walk around the pride. Father and elder sister said it was because she was sickly- and thats why she didn't leave and in her mind. Mother wasn't sick anymore. She dodged behind every rock in the path behind her mother. Watching.
Stalking. Eyes slitted then went big as she dodged behind another as if it were a game. A smile was hidden underneath the sly and sneaky ways. Dodging.. dodging. She even rolled to get there! Padding and padding. Until they hit the ground floor- and started to head towards the pride's entrance. A 'break' in the crater with three strong looking fighters showed. Eyes slitted.. then stopped. "Momma.. where are you going..." She sounded almost disappointed and confused.
Mother stopped, then turned her head softly up and to her daughter. "Mother is taking a walk.." Her voice was soft and delicate sounding. Even tired if one knew Nyoka well enough what to look for.
Her ears went down and she laid her butt down with a large 'thump'. Looking saddened by this 'walk'. "Daddy says that I'm not allowed past the guards. That it's not safe out there. Sissy says so too." Her tail fanning behind her. "I thought we could..." She lowered her voice in slight disappointment. "Spend some time.. since your better..and.." A soft sniffle occurred as she lowered her head.
She tilted her head to the side then whirled around. Her pelt unmoved by the necklace that held it to her. "How about-" Her voice was silvery. Watching the disappointment as she really thought that she wouldn't have a cub with her. In her mind, she had some very important things to attend to. Mostly going to a place that took all her troubles away... The ocean but seeing her daughter so sad and how many times she gave her a lil oddly shaped rock to a flower headdress to gain attention. She couldn't help but feel bad for her. Maybe she shouldn't- but.. "Why don't~ you and I~ *pause* take a walk..don't worry. We won't be alone.. and you shouldn't leave the pride.. But I think this once will be fine."
A soft smile crossed her. "But." She took the cub by the neck and walked behind a large rock. There were many in the ground floor of the pride..
"You can't speak- nor move until I tell you. You must stay quiet.. Do you understand? Only then can you come with me. Understand."
Her eyes went wide as she was picked up. She was in a slump until her mother said she was going- and oh and behold the sunshine came back to the child's face. "Yes mommy! Whatever you say!" She chirped- then hushed herself as she was thrown over mother's back and tucked away under the pelt. She was small enough to fit under and she was to lay very still upon her as she fixed her paws in to her mother's pelt- unmoved. Still. And quiet...
Like always when she said she was leaving to the guards. Two followed suited but as they knew from prior experiences..They were NOT to be anywhere within her eye's reach of them or they will be sent back home. For Emi, it felt like an adrenalin rush to be sneaky.. and to be so close to mother- it was like HEAVEN ~! She giggled a lil but quietly shut it when the grownups were done talking.. Nyoka, with a smile of achievement and really- telling at least one guard she did have a child with her and to throw in another extra leopard to follow suit. As they were far enough from the pride- and took the path away from it..
Down the only path you can get out of the desert wasteland.. Once at the other side and NOT showing her daughter to way back- "Ok you can stick your head out now." Except she didn't lower to put her down.. She just walked.. and walked. Her daughter keeping quiet for the most part but a smile was plastered on the cub's face... She could feel it. They must have walked- for what seemed like forever for Emi but loved every bit til they crossed a foresty area and up.. Nyoka was taking them to a safe hill she knew quite well. No harm ever beheld her here.. once on the top she slid her child down. "Look." She nudged her softly..
Once she was able to walk on her own- her eyes became wide and quickly she hopped to the very edge and saw the massive.. BLUE thing... Her spirited went so high that it looked like she was about to fly! "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW." Amazed.. the ocean was beautiful.. "Momma! What is that!" She exclaimed as she looked back to her mother then back to the water.
"It's called.. an ocean....." She rose her head to admire along side her daughter..
