Her mother’s journey in search of her father had taken Amelia many places and allowed her to see many things. She had met many along the road and learned a little more about herself as well as the world with all of its wonders. Like her mother she enjoyed nature and the beauty it brought to every little thing. Her opinion of herself had risen if even only a little, she no longer spent the good majority of her time wondering if she was meant to be evil because of her strange looks. With this thought she looked down to her burning hooves, taking note of the scorched earth left behind in the shape of her hoof. Her sister had once said she could always find her by her strange tracks, perhaps this was a plus of having them? She allowed her thoughts to wander as she made her way through the meadow, her feet driving her to a hilltop from which she could watch the setting of the sun. She had once come across a stallion who had told her that not all things with flames were bad; the sun was a prime example of this. A giver of life and light, something to raise the spirits of creatures all over the world. Her thoughts cleared as she crested the hill. It would take a while for the sun to set but she would be here, waiting to witness the colors of the waning sky.
Lowering herself to the ground she gathered her flaming hooves beneath of her belly, the flames having no effect on her. A soft breeze kissed her outspread wings and she closed her glowing green eyes. It wasn’t very often she let her hair down and just relaxed but when she did it was something she quite enjoyed. Anaon often told her she should lighten up, after hearing it so many times she had decided to try. The long grass that had been beneath her burned away, leaving her in a bed of warm scorched earth to view the dipping of the sun beneath the horizon.

The sun was setting he could tell both by the colors fading and shifting into darker shades in the distance and by the way his shadow had shifted growing slightly stretched out by the angle of the light coming from the sun. Shifting the angle of his wings slightly he slowly lowered a few feet in the air enjoying the breeze as it blew his air back away from his face. As he grew closer to the small hilly meadow he planned to land in he shifted slight to the right and began to circle around the opening.
From up where he was he could see another soquili resting atop of the hill though from where he was and the fading sunlight he could not really make out if it was mare or stallion. He pondered for a moment finding some where else to land. He always seemed to trip or stumble over his hair as he came to a stop when landing his hair falling into place over his eyes and causing him to fumble his steps in one way or another. He shook his hair tossing his mane slightly. No real point he thought, it wasn't like it was going to be the first time he had embarrassed himself in front of another with his landing. Shifting the angle of his wings once again he slowed himself as he started to descend to the ground below. Landing with a small thud his hair fell into his eyes and he took an uneasy step trying to fully catch himself only to fall forward.

A gentle thud behind her caused her ears to flick back attentively. Fear was not an emotion she felt often so she turned her head in order to see the source of the noise from the corner of her eye. Cascading black hair, red eyes and wings she had only ever seen once before caused her to stand. Turning about gracefully she faced the stallion as though facing a familiar friend. “Erchanhardt.” She said through a smile, her voice smooth and clear as she called out to him. “I see you still have trouble executing the perfect landing.” She laughed softly and began walking toward him, leaving her bed of embers to cool. She had felt comfortable around this stallion upon first meeting him a while back, he seemed to be different like her. He had spoken of having mutations which made her feel less awkward about the green flames licking at the bones of her legs. She felt no need to be wary of him or ask him a million questions to gauge his intentions when speaking to her. “Do you enjoy watching the setting of the sun as well?”
She stopped a few feet in front of him, not desiring to crowd him but being close enough so she may talk to him without having to raise her voice. Revealing a soft smile she didn’t often show to others she bowed her head to him in a polite greeting she had borrowed from her maiden like mother. “How fair you this evening?” She felt relieved to have company on this evening, often she would watch the sunset by herself. Only once had she ever had the pleasure of watching it with another and that was her grandfather Callan. Angling her body so she was revealing the hilltop she had been resting upon she motioned toward it with her head. “Would you care to join me?”

He laughed softly embarrassed a bit, ah the perfect landing was something he never thought he could actually obtain. Smiling he looked over the mare he had met not to long ago. It was nice to see a familiar face. Listening as she spoke he wondered how he should answer. Tossing his head to move his hair away from him his eyes. " the perfect landing is something I don't think I'll ever quite get unless I cut my hair or tie it back during flying an I prefer it loose."
He nodded slightly, more to himself than to his companion. " Ah yes I very much enjoy the sunset its one of the time I can keep my hair from over my eyes. I have a bit of photo sensitivity so I can't stand much sun in my eyes. I'm alright, its been a very good day how has your day been? And I would love to join you" Winks.

Her cheeks instantly flushed at his wink and she became super grateful for the armor cloaking her blush. She hadn’t ever been winked at before by a stallion, part of her didn’t even know why it caused her to blush. It was just a blink of the eye wasn’t it? Regaining her composure she focused her eyes on his long hair, marveling at the sheen. “I couldn’t see you with short hair and tying it back seems like restraining something that needs to be free.” She agreed. Visualizing him with a cropped mane just didn’t seem to suit him. “Besides, it would take away your pretty stallion air.” She added jokingly. At his comment about having to hide his eyes from the sun she craned her neck so she could look at the position of the sun at the moment. The light never bothered her eyes; of course, they glowed quite brightly so perhaps they were accustomed to it. “Do you prefer night to day then?” She enquired gently, bringing her focus back to him.
“I have had a good day, thank you. Better now that I can enjoy company while watching the sunset.” She ended, attempting to sound a tad flirtatious. She hadn’t ever flirted before and she figured since he mentioned he enjoyed it she would be able to practice on him. She was glad to hear her request accepted. Taking a few more steps forward and turning around she brought herself next to him so they could walk up the hill together rather than her leading the way. There was a fair amount of space between them so her flaming hooves did not burn him.

Erchanhardt nodded slightly, listening he moved closer to Amelia's side his gaze drifting toward the setting sun. The was always one if his favorite times of day, the colors were always so beautiful and dark. A dance of colors welcoming in the the night and her starry shroud. " I can not say that I enjoy night more than day because I am never really free to fully enjoy daylight. But I do feel more at ease at night, with the goddess high in the sky welcoming all the day light won't with her full whiteness." Snorting softly Erchan shifted his gaze back to the mare.
" Excuse me, My family worships moon goddesses, some times I forget not every one shares our beliefs... But if I had to pick I think I enjoy the times between day and night the best, Sunrise and sunset. The play of colors, its my favorite" Looking at his new friend Erchanhardt looked back toward the top of the hill. He could see a slight patch of burnt grass and wondered if it had come from Amelia. Glancing down at her flaming legs he smiled, probably so. It had to be nice to have a constant warmth with her. " Shall we go find a place to lay down and watch the sunset and maybe chat abit?"

Amelia listened to him speak, enjoying the tenure of his voice while gazing at the changing sky. Every time she watched the sunset she felt so at ease, so free. Even the air changed when the sun dipped below the horizon, it smelled crisper. His talk of a moon goddess caused a small and gentle smile to color her countenance. How often had she stared up at the silver mistress and enjoyed the beauty of her rays? Shaking her head gently she dismissed his worry about her not believing the same things he did. “She is very lovely,” she began her eyes closing as she visualized the moon, “often when I wander at night I am grateful for her company. Though she is not the sun I can still feel warmth coming from her whenever I am caught in her silvery beams. Whenever I was most upset I looked up to her and instantly felt relieved.” She laughed and opened her eyes and awkward expression passing over her face. “I am sorry, I talk too much.”
When he spoke of the colors she observed the golds, oranges and pinks now touching the sky and painting the fluffy clouds. “My mother always said sunrise and sunset were the most romantic times of day. I think it has something to do with the beauty of the colors as you said. I make it a point to watch both of them as often as I can.” Her glowing green eyes turned to him once again. “Do you often watch the sunrise and the sunset?” She watched as he looked down at her legs and the flames burned a little brighter. For whatever reason she found herself nervous, as though if he were to stare too long he would wish to walk away but she knew she was being foolish. “I would like that.” She replied with a smile beginning to gracefully make her way up to the crest of the hill.
