Since there's a Blue-Eyes White Dragon topic, I thought I should go ahead and put a Dark Magician topic out there also. How would you rate the Dark Magician?

I give him an 8. Sure, he's good, but he's not all powerful. Just like the Blue-Eyes, he has his strength and weakness. He can combine to create some very powerful monsters, but he can still be destroyed quite easily. Also, he may be a good monster to use to summon the Sorcer of Dark Magic, but he can be destroyed before he even sets foot on the field. Well, that's my opinion. Dark Magician may be one of my favorite cards, but I still say things against it.

He is ok my friend has a really good Dark Magician Deck When he frist begain to use it I gave him a hard time, but as time went on and the deck begain to Improve I gained a new found respect for Him and his senergy cards! biggrin He's not the best but he has a lot of manoverability. So I give him a 7 out of ten. wink

I gave him an eight. As you've said, he's not the best card around, but he has an extreme amount monsters and spells and traps to back him up. And he is a level 7 monster. That adds a few extra cards to back him up. A very versatile monster. And one of my favorites. My Magician deck is one of my favorite deck as well..

Dark Magician is a good card, it's just that, for what he's worth, people want more out of him. Sure, they're trying to make him more useful, by trying to make cards that directly summon him to the field, but the fact remains, that his raw power, and pure effectiveness will never match up to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. When it comes to Spellcasters of a high level, most people go with Dark Magician of Chaos, being that he brings back a spell card, and he goes very well with the Dimension fusion beatdown strategy.
I like Dark Magician, because he can lead onto many different things, such as Dark Magician girl and other things, like that. So, I'ma give him a 6.
Great Card, just not as great as his rival.

I didn't really like Dark Magician and his friends... Spellcasters. I don't really like the idea of using spellcasters. So I gave him a three. And only a three because...
1)Lvl 7 tribute...
2)Spellcasters
So basically I'm biased. But I have a b.e.w.d. in my deck at the moment, so I'm with it. Than DM.

There are many people here, that probably aren't keen on the idea of other monster types, too. Though, they know a good card, when they see one. o.o; So again.. >.> ; Your statement is biased to the maximum.

Dark Magician has received a lot of support these days... Especially with the Spellcasters Structure out. Blue-Eyes White Dragon is nothing but a 3000 beatstick with only Burst Stream of Destruction as a support... Because of the supports revolving Dark Magician, I give this card an 8 out of 10... All by itself though, I'd give it a 5.

Dark Magician is good but when combined with buster blader it can dish out some damage.
