Bokoboko had slipped from the den and had gone for a night walk, for some reason her dreams weren't letting her sleep. She was restless. Nya had brought her daughter Jubes for a visit and hadn't returned in a while-she liked to know how her daughter was doing in the pride Nyasambe took care of. She had hoped her daughter had found a mate by now, as her other children had began lives away from their mother and father. Primitus was taking it well, Nana was feeling sadness. Having cubs was amazing, being that she had always loved babies. Growing up with Nix, the goddess of lightening; she was older than the god cubs her mother had birthed. So she grew up caring for babies. Now her babies were adults. She was a nanny, which allowed her access to cubs at least. She sighed, bending down to pick some flowers to take back to Primitus. They would scent the den greatly.
She began to hum sweetly, plucking a flower and putting it behind her ear.

Neltharion didn't like this place. Too much order, too much...good. There was hate, but not enough. And too little chaos. What food he'd found was bland and tasteless...the hate of the good and the righteous for those who would cause evil. He scoffed. Hardly could you call that hate at all. No...he longed to return to the prides he'd come across that oozed ripe, pulsing viciousness. But he had business here. And iff it went well, soon this 'barren' land would be rife with what he needed.
The wet night grass parted noiselessly before him, lit up by the pulsing veins of flame that lashed his sides, burning out from within him. Occasionally stray puffs of smoke wound up from his sides--scorched grass falling away, turning to ash before it hit the dirt. His luminous eyes rolled in their sockets. He was not the patient type, and he needed to find--oh, hello, what was this? A dainty lioness...
Swiftly he cloaked himself in shadows, shrinking and caving in on himself. In an instant he'd shed his godly form. It was ever so fun to burst out of a mortal guise and terrify these weak-minded types. She even had a flower behind her ear...yes, this would be too fun. Clad in the form of a young, robust lion with all-black fur, he sauntered towards her. "What's a beauty like you doing on a night like this...alone?" Mmmm, yes...this would be SO fun.

She wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings, only to the flowers. She continued to hum, as she plucked single flowers and set them in a pile at her side, her brown tufted tail curled around her legs. Her blue eyes were half lidded, as she recalled humming to her God siblings back in the old days. When her love for gods and goddesses began. When she first learned of wings and powers and love. She sighed, gazing upwards for a moment; when a voice caught her attention.
She turned to gaze at the stranger, which was unusual for her. She knew almost everyone in the pride by name, as she had practiced when Primitus brought her here to live. She looked a bit shy. "Hello..." She said softly, turning to face him. "Um... I am fetching flowers for my den; where my mate awaits." She said, looking a bit concerned at her inability to remember this-stranger. "I'm sorry, your name has slipped my mind... I am surprised at myself... I usually don't forget names." She looked a bit taken back.

How...charming. He grinned toothily and flexed his forelegs. She was a darling little thing, and seemed deliciously innocent. All the better. If she was from this pride (and it seemed she was), she could be just the thing he was looking for. And even if she wasn't, well...She was just a mortal, not worth his time, but he took a certain sick pleasure in breaking some toys.
"No need to worry, Pet...we have not met yet. Though I might be inclined to think this..." He circled her, eyeing her sharply, "...was a fated meeting. You say you've a den, and a mate? This place stinks of a pride...are you from it? Hmm?" He was careful to keep his voice neutral as best as he could. It'd be no fun to scare her to death just yet... "What a shame you've already got a mate..." [18:46] Shinosbee: ((Nelly = creeper to the max))

She sort of looked taken back. He wasn't apart of the pride? How did a rouge slip in here like that? She looked around for a moment, it was very strange. She cleared her throat. "My mistake..." She said simply, her blue eyes looking at him nervously. "I am.. I am a nanny here. My mate is Primitus..." She said with a small smile. "So sorry to disappoint you... I'm not like that..." She said softly. "You say a fated meeting? Why? Are you interesting in joining the pride?" She asked, looking over towards where the dens were.
"I am afraid I am not the one to talk too about joining. It is not my place. I can lead you too an empty den until morning. It is farther than the dens here, on the border. I'll gladly spread word so you do not get confronted in a bad way. "
She stood up and bent down to her flowers.

e purred at her response, thick and low. "Joining? Not...not exactly. You see...I'm on a mission. A very special, secret mission. For someone very important." He eyed her goal and snatched the plucked flowers up, holding them securely in his teeth. "Allow me, kind lady...I'd hate to think of something BAD happening to you on your way home...May I walk you there? I won't be staying here, or joining up, so no need to show me anywhere."
A plan was forming in his head. It wasn't particularly original, but it would suffice. A little warning message left at the entry to this lioness' den, and certainly her mate (he scoffed mentally) would come for her...He could start a good deal of anger if things went right. And if they didn't, well, then he could always just kill anyone who'd seen him and let that do the trick.

Nana felt nervous about leading this male to the dens. Oh gods what to do. She stood up, following him tentatively. "Alright..." She said simply, not brave enough to question him. Her ears were flattened though. "Just... don't be surprised... my mate isn't like normal ones... he uh..." She swallowed for a moment. "Our den is a bit bigger because he has wings." she said. "So don't be alarmed. He is asleep. As is the whole pride... I should be sleeping as well..."

If anything could have surprised Neltharion, that was it. This creature's mate was a GOD? For the slightest of moments he wondered fi this plan would work, but a wave of self-assurance washed the thought away. Of course it would. He was Hate. The strongest of all gods. If this god thought to stand up to him, well...it wouldn't be the first time he'd supped on divine flesh.
"So you are mated to a god then? There must be something very special about you..." That was true enough. All the better. "I have known gods in my time. In fact," He spoke quietly as he walked along with her. "The very mission I am on now is for one..."
Nana looked interested. She had met many gods and goddesses in her day. She smiled lightly. "As have I. I was raised by a goddess and her children." She said remembering her mother. "I was raised by Nix the goddess of lightening. My siblings included energy and fireflies." She said recalling them. "My mate is the god of leadership. His wings reflect the starry night sky!" She said, tossing her eyes upwards at the stars.

Goodness, this WAS a find. Honestly he could see very little of merit about the female (aside from her overwhelming innocence) that would reward her the interest of a god. He smiled, slowing and stopping a little ways from what must be her den--the opening was large enough to fit even himself in god form, if he hunched low and kept his wings tucked tight.
"That certainly is something." He spat the flowers out onto the ground and leered at her, a strange light filling his eyes. "Well, Pet, now you're about to meet another god. I DO hope your precious mate minds you being missing...it's been ages since I had a good meal..." His voice deepend as he spoke, to a rumble that seemed spat from the bowls of the earth itself. He lunged at her, swinging a paw that was suddenly huge, aiming to both bloodie her and hopefully subdue her so he could cary her away on his now great back. She'd make a delightful hostage, yes indeed.

Nana wasn't really paying attention to his appearance, only to the dens that were approaching. She had began to speed a head a slight bit, excited to be back-when his words made her turn. His voice-changed.... to a horrid sound. Like flood waters spilling over the land-like she recalled as a small child. She was frightened instantly. A god? She hadn't really known that gods could take on a form unlike their winged ones. She shook her head, her mouth parting to say something but before she could-his paw threw out at her and hit her across the head; sending her sprawling. She fell into the flowers, blood dropplets dripping from her wounded cheek.
"P-p-p-primitus." She murmered, her head spinning. She attempted to get up, her legs wobbling as she did. She had to get away from this lion. It had all been a trick. She wasn't gonna die by his paw. She tried to stand.

Ahhh. Perfect. The look of mortal peril in her eye was exactly what he'd imagined she would look like. The blood staining the flowers was a grand message to leave her heavenly lover...Oh, how cute. she was trying to escape! With a laugh like thunder and stalked towards her. He raised a paw to slap her again--no claws this time. He wanted live prey to toy with.
Regardless of if his blow connected and knocked her out or not, he dug his snout into her side, working it under her. He would carry her away on his back. Not in the air though. He wanted to leave an easy trail of scent to follow. He licked his jaws, thinking only of hos pleased he was that things had gone his way. Would go his way. This pride would be eating out of his claws soon enough.

Her head was swimming and her vision blurred. She managed to stand and was only knocked down again, her head hitting the dirt. Her teeth chomped down on her tongue and blood dribbled from her lips as he lifted her over his shoulders. She hung from him, not able to move more than enough to signal she was alive.z

He craned his neck as she came to rest on his shoulders. His wings flared, not to carry them aloft, but to help hold her in place. If she fell off, he would just drag her by the scruff like some dumb prey beast. Which she was. He licked her bloodied face and hissed ominously. He turned back, staring into the depths of the den. All was still and silent in the night--the scuffle had lasted only a moment, and made so little noise...He took a great breath, and let loose a roar to make warriors tremble and kings weep. Snorting smoke and flame, he turned and leapts away through the tall grass and into the night.
