Gianfar sighed as he leaned against a lamppost on the campus of Crystal Academy, rubbing one of his temples with his elbow held in his other hand. Nothing interesting. Maybe it would just be better to go home? He got out his senshi phone and checked the time, frowning a bit when it told him it was only midnight. That was it? Really? Man! It felt like so much longer than that. Maybe he was just tired or something, he could've sworn he'd been sleeping better since the disastrous events in Elysion.
Midnight and nothing had happened yet, he might as well go home. Sure, there was the saying that 'evil never sleeps' but apparently it had decided to tonight! With a strained groan and a yawn Gianfar raised his arms above his head and stretched his back, dropping them after a moment and shaking out his shoulders a bit. Giving the area a good last minute look around Gianfar shrugged and fixed his hat and coat, walking along the shadows of the campus so none of the school security would spot him skulking about and think him some kind of creepy peeping tom trying to get a peek at their girls. That would suck and it was trouble Gianfar didn't need.

Days had passed, but there hadn't been a day, or more appropriately, at least an hour, she couldn't go by without thinking about what had transpired in Elysion. It was hard of course, she reflected with a sigh, huddled on a rooftop, to bump into someone she had known and respected and to end up feeling utterly betrayed by him. Though Virgo and Flora were careful not to voice any disrespect towards the Prince in her presence, Princess Chronos knew that they harbored a grudge against him for what he did. It was a knot in their hearts that would be hard to untangle.
As for her? She couldn't say that she held a grudge against Endymion, because a part of her didn't believe, couldn't believe that it was really him. A Prince would never act that way. Eon would have never acted that way. No matter how hard she tried, her mind would automatically compare the Prince of Earth to her Prince, the man who had sacrificed his life for her and her entire court.
Chronos let out another sigh, standing up as she gazed upwards to the stars, into the depths of space where the Space Cauldron was, where he was. She had meant to patrol tonight, but all she had done so far was to mull over problems. At least there was still time, she thought, and leaped down from her perch.
What she didn't expect was to land right in front someone. Someone that looked awfully familiar and even if the outfit didn't make sense, nor the hair color, she couldn't help but tremble, taking a step closer. "Eon?" It looked... so much like him! Was she seeing things?

What was that sound? Gianfar stopped for a moment and looked around with a small frown. He could have sworn he heard a rustle, like someone was moving. Or something. But he didn't see anything...maybe it was an animal, or a breeze that blew some leaves around. Or his imagination. Any of them worked! It was late, he must have been more tired than he thought. How foolish of him to attempt patrolling after so many nights of god awful sleep, if one could really call it that.
He continued on until suddenly something jumped down and landed in front of him, to which he immediately reacted by jumping back and raising his fists, ready to strike at what was totally a negaverse agent trying to literally get the drop on him. Thankfully it only took him a moment to realize it was a senshi, and a rather lovely one at that. She looked rather familiar...why?
Oh! Haha. Why was he still all defensive? She was a senshi, she wouldn't attack him! Gianfar's arms dropped to his sides and he stood straight, watching her curiously. "Good evening." He smiled until he realized she looked...confused. Was something wrong? Was he not supposed to be here? Oops. Maybe this was her turf. She looked very familiar though! "Ah, so...sorry if th--I'm sorry?" Gianfar blinked, looking confused now himself. Eon? Who was Eon? "Actually, I'm Gianfar...have we met? You look kind of familiar...oh!" He grinned again and hit the side of a fist into the palm of his hand, realizing something. "You were in Elysion! The battle with..that prince and..." He'd seen her, she was a senshi...and then she'd turned into a princess? Oh! So that meant she was that princess! Gianfar's eyes widened a little as he stepped closer, genuine concern written on his face. "You were the princess! Are you alright?" He hadn't known her until this moment, honestly, but he had been concerned when he saw the man they called Prince Endymion try to sacrifice her to that negaverse general.

He looked confused, Chronos realized with a start, but couldn't help staring at his face. He looked so much like Eon, from the hairstyle to his eye color, that she had to lift a hand and rub her eyes to make sure she wasn't hallucinating. Or was it the Negaverse? But, the only one who had known how Eon had looked like was Charonite, and Eon's outfit was a lot different than that...
He introduced himself as Gianfar, and even though Chronos had her doubts before, her heart seemed to plummet to the pit of her stomach. It had been what, two years, and she still believed that one day, he would return. Still, the resemblance was uncanny, even as she struggled not to cry. "Y-yes." She managed. So he was there in Elysion! She had always wondered if Eon had been still there, watching all that transpired, helping her to not get hurt by the purple-haired General.. "I'm fine." Chronos attempted to assure him, doing her best to give him a shaky smile.
"You said you're Gianfar? I'm sorry, it's just that... you look awfully like someone I know... knew." She couldn't help it. Just looking at him, remembering how it had been with Eon, still kept her wishing, hoping. It hurt, with every breath she took, with every second it took him to answer.

She didn't look so good. This girl looked like she was going to just break down any second, but why? Was she traumatized from the battle still? Crap! That wasn't good! He didn't recognize the pain in her eyes--or the tears?! Crapcrapcrap!--as heartbreak, it wasn't something he had ever seen so..why would he know? She didn't look good though, did she need to sit? "Ah..! Don't cry, don't cry..ah..um...are you sure you're okay? You don't look so good. Would you like to sit?" He frowned with worry, tugging at a piece of his hair and looking around for some kind of sitting surface. A bench, a large planter, anything. Oh! There were benches over there! How convenient!
When she spoke again his attention was immediately on her, seeming to kind of sort of understand. Sort of. She thought he was someone else? Ouch. He felt bad now. "Oh...I'm sorry, Princess." It was all he knew to call her by. He didn't know her name. He scratched at his cheek with a gloved hand, tilting his head to the side. "I only awakened to this, um, recently-ish. I don't know many other senshi yet." Was he a senshi? How foolish of him to assume! "Was he...someone important to you?"

"I-it's okay." Chronos' voice trembled, and she did her best to pull herself together. Don't be silly, she admonished herself. Chin up, Chronos! Don't cry in front of a stranger! Let alone a stranger who resembled Eon a lot! "I'm fine." She repeated again, attempting to reassure both him and herself. Thankfully, the tears did not fall despite how much they had threatened to when he had confirmed that he was not who she thought he was. She had to be strong. She was a Princess.
"I... see." She said slowly. So, he was a Senshi, then. Not a Knight, but really, Eon hadn't been a Knight. He had always been more of a Scholar, and it was because he had the responsibility of a Prince that he was willing to raise his sword. "He's... Prince Eon of the Epoch. You look a lot like him." It was rather silly to blurt out his full name and title like this, but perhaps a part of her hoped that it would ring a bell.
Really, she was being hopelessly stupid, but she couldn't help herself. Ever since she had remembered that she had forgotten him, she had always carried that hole in her heart ever since. It was something she couldn't and didn't want to erase.

Gianfar didn't look entirely convinced by her assurances, more like he wanted to just pick her up and sit her down somewhere while telling her she was being silly and a bad liar. That would probably get himself a bad reaction though, so he refrained..for now. If she kept it up he'd be a little more insistent on the issue. It was no big deal, really. "If you're sure." He felt so bad, he wanted to hug her and apologize like crazy. But what could he say? Sorry I look like your late prince? I was born this way, baby!
Eon of Epoch? Gianfar blinked and tilted his head to one side, looking curious. Epoch, huh? How interesting! "I'm sorry, I've never heard of an Eon before...an Epoch, yes, but not Eon." He rubbed at the back of his neck and felt even worse. "I'm really sorry, Princess. Truly." He felt especially worse for making such a pretty girl look so heartbroken. The urge to hug her and try to make her feel better was there, but he didn't want to upset her in any more ways. But he looked a lot like him? Greaaaat. And it was so clear from her behavior that he was someone important to her. Way to go, Gianfar!
Had to lighten the mood. Had to lighten the mood. How, how, ho--oh! "Maybe if I dye my hair? Or um...oh! I could wear a mask." He grinned, really hoping she wouldn't take this as him mocking her. He didn't want her to think he was poking fun, because this wasn't something you poked fun at, he just wanted to cheer her up with some kind of silly humor. So if it took joking about butchering his own appearance? So be it! "Like, one of those Richard Nixon masks with the really big nose?" He even put a hand on his face over his nose as if to mimic the nose, watching her to make sure he wasn't upsetting her. Eh? Ehhh?

It was awkward for him too, wasn't it? Chronos thought, averting her eyes from his familiar features and staring at something far, far away. To have someone come up to him and claim that he looked so much like someone he had no inkling ever existed, who had sacrificed his life long before he had even been awakened. She swallowed back a lump in her throat and managed to choke out. "It's not your fault." It was the accursed Space Cauldron. Why could it not let her rest after the explosion took away everything, made everything spiral downwards?
"His hair color is different from yours, actually." She said wistfully. Others would describe it as a mousy brown color, but she had always thought of it as a light caramel brown, really. "That would look rather silly, actually." She commented, trying to smile. "I... mean, what would the Negaverse say, seeing a senshi wearing a mask like that?" Sure, Leo wore a mask too, but that was different. It only covered half his face, and it was akin to those masks people wore to masquerade balls.

It wasn't his fault but that didn't mean he didn't still feel a little guilty. Oh, damn these handsome good looks. They were as much a curse as they were a blessing! Woe was Gianfar, cursed to forever be alone because he was too dashing! A thought crossed his mind that perhaps he should say these things out loud. Would it make her laugh? Would she cheer up a little? It was all in jest! Hmm, what would his sister do?
...She'd make the jokes and be shameless about it. But she was a cute young lady; she could get away with things like that. Gianfar? He was not a cute young lady.
He perked up a bit as Chronos pointed out their differences. Oh, so his hair color wasn't the same. That wasn't so bad! But he supposed it made sense that he would still look like him in this lighting. But the topic soon changed to his idea of wearing a stupid Richard Nixon mask. Ah, yes. Gianfar grinned and shrugged. "Perhaps they'll be so taken aback they will do nothing but laugh, in which case we could capitalize on the opportunity to thwart whatever evil deed they are committing!" He couldn't help but speak more formally all of a sudden. It was cheesy, it was silly, and in the presence of a princess it just seemed the proper thing to do. "If you're not careful I'll actually try it sometime." He teased with a wink and a grin, tipping his hat a little. Believe it or not he actually was being somewhat serious.
But only somewhat.

Chronos smiled then, a soft giggle escaping her lips. "I imagine that being confronted with a senshi in such getup would be a considerable distraction indeed." It actually sounded like something the Geminis would do, if anyone was bold enough to suggest that to them. On the other hand, such an idea would probably pop into their minds regardless. She did rather miss their antics, and Snuzzles too... but at least they were alive and well. And that was all that mattered.
"I'm not too sure if it would be a wise idea though. But I guess it wouldn't exactly endanger you any further?" Senshi were prime targets of the Negaverse, after all. What would a mask matter? Still, Chronos worried, and wondered that perhaps, a mask would bring him some safety. If Charonite, or the older Negaverse members, ran into him and thought he resembled the Prince they were supposed to have killed years ago, what would they do?
"Just, do be careful, Sailor Gianfar." She murmured, putting a hand on his arm. Saying the name was a means of reminding herself that he was not who she thought he was.
