Alruna was stretched out over a branch in the forest watching for something to eat. A bird would be nice. Mmm or maybe a nice rabbit. She wasn't sure. She slid a small dagger home in her shirt and slid her brass knuckles onto her fingers. She looked around and wondered what kind of things she would find here in the forest today. She made sure her hair was secure before she leaped about through the trees looking for something to hunt of someone to watch, or maybe someones. Either way it might be rather fun if only she could find something.
Leaping through several trees she stopped and looked through a clearing. She watched the lake but didn't feel up to swimming to get her food tonight. But she watched for bunnies and checked the trees for eggs or birds.

Fairwind wasn't sure if she really liked the area they were in at the moment - for one thing there were trees..everywhere..big giant trees that could house who knew how many dangers high up in their branches, and a giant pool of water jut begging for one of her 'siblings' to step into and drown. Fair really didn't want to have to get wet saving one of her companions - and she could see it now, see it as clearly as it if was happening before her very eyes at right this very second either Stone or Tiger splashing into the water and their doom.
Alright - that might be a tad melodramatic but it didn't stop Fair from pausing to glance at the other two "Guys....I reaaally think we should look for somewhere else to hang out" She urged in an anxious voice - not that they every actually listened to her...most of the time anyways.

"I-I concur," stuttered skittish Stone, who slunk behind the obviously smaller Fairwind as if he had a chance at hiding behind it. He was no forest-lover. In fact, Stoneblaze would have preferred to stay somewhere in a library, housed up in one of the bean bag cushions and reading - sometimes to himself, sometimes to his sisters. He was quite proud of the reading level he had accomplished the few times they had stayed and in fact was in the middle of an engrossing adventure - something that this little field trip had torn him away from. He eyed the lake nervously, like it might suddenly surge around their paws and defy the laws of physics.
Tigerlily, of course at the head of their party, scoffed at their hesitation. "Re-laaaaax," she mewed, clearly confident in her steps. "Cats can climb trees, can't they? If Stone gets all scaredy cat again, he can just hide in the branches like a biiiiird." Somehow, it was insulting, in the way that only friends can manage. Lily's pink bow bounced with every step, and oh did she pride herself in such a thing. Collars? So crude!
"I'm not leaving 'til we find us a unicorn!" she stated as they moved along. Then we'll leave. Okay?"

Runa stopped thinking about food when she caught movement and saw three kittens, still collared and everything, moving about in the underbrush. She smirked as she stealth-fully moved along the branches closer to them to listen to what they said. She smiled happily at their woods. The white-ish one seemed nervous about something, the stony gray one seemed scared as hell at being in here in the first place. Se smiled as she watched them and her eyes followed the leader. Black and purple. How girlie. She smiled as she listened to them and almost laughed.
Unicorns?
She remembered her spoiled human owner's daughter mentioning them. The horse things with the horns on their head right? She smirked at them and couldn't stay here any longer. She leaped from the branches, doing a flip before landing near them. "Hello. Are you lot lost?" she asked with a smile as she flipped her knife closed and settled it nicely between her breasts.

At least Stone didn't seem to like this place either, Fair mused as she stole a peek at the skittish cat...unfortunately he was also just as likely to give into Lily's eccentric desires..just like she was. "I really don't think we're going to fins any of those...aren't they like..secreti...oh my god! She's got a knife! She's going to kill us!" Fair sudden'y stopped in mid sentence to screech as the unknown cat fell from the trees.
Yep that right. Fell...jumped! Right.Out.Of.The.Trees! Just like she imagined..maybe she was psychic. It would make sense sh was always seeing the dangers they were walking into..that or she was jut paranoid..whatever, not really the time to be contemplating that she reminded herself as her tail puffed up and her eyes narrowed. No time to be afraid..she had to protect her companions! "We're not lost" She objected "We're just ...exploring!"

"Adlfkdsnflsnf-" The tom was now a quivering ball of silver all but glued to the ground, everything flat - his belly to the ground, his ears to his head, his tail possibly a snake in the grass with how still and stiff it was. "Ohgoshpleasedonthurtuswedidntdoiiiiiiiit!"
True, Lily did jump with her hair on end when the stranger flipped just before her, and she did indeed back up a little into Fairwind with surprise. But soon enough the brave little feline was poofed out with an air of dominance. "''Course we aren't!" Tigerlily asserted with a hmph. "What's it to you?"
"L-L-Lilly, d-d-don't make her mad . . ."

Runa looked over them all and smiled. She eyed the scared one who was puffed up trying to be protective and scary. The stone colored one was flat to the ground muttering about something like don't hurt us. She smiled as she watched them and her eyes fell to the ring leader. "Exploring huh? For unicorns i heard? Well i don't think there are any here cause ive explored most all of this forest that i call my home." she said as she rubbed the golden plated brass knuckles on her hands. They both said princess across them.
"And it matters to me cause i cant have helpless little kittens wandering around my forest getting eatin by badgers or snakes or other stray cats or dogs now can i? So if im not going to hurt you will it really matter if im here watching over you?" she asked. "Or i could just teach the three of you." she said with a smirk.

As Lily seemed to have chatting with the other cat well in hand for a few moments Fair stepped back to check on Stone - who in typical Stone fashion looked like he was about to have a fear induced heart attack. "It's okay Stone" she assured him "Lily and I will take care of you, nothing bad will happen" She told him trying to sound confident although she had one ear cocked towards the conversation going on while she did so. "Badgers? There are badgers here?!?...and what could you teach us? We're smart..we know what we're doing" She stated with a slight nod of her head - it was important not to look weak, she knew that or at least it seemed like a good idea..

Tigerlily looked over the white-furred woman with dubiousness in her eyes. Teach? Pfffff. But if the kitten knew how to read, she would have adored those brass knuckles! "Thanks for but thanks, lady," she meowed wit ha shrug, signaling for her siblings to move along after her as she made to head past the stranger. "None a'us needs teaching! 'Sides, just because you didn't find a unicorn here doesn't mean we can't."
She apparently missed the whole "my forest" bit. And the "badgers" bit. And the "snakes" bit.
Stoneblaze, however, did not. "O-O-Ohgodnotsnakes!!" he stammered, his sides heaving as he fought for breath control, his poor yellow eyes bright and quite frightened. It would take a lot more of Fairwind's energy to calm him down now. "Let's g-go back now! I-I-I told you, th-there's no such things as u-unicorns, Lilyyyyy!"
"There's no such thing as no such thing!" she retorted. "Now let's get a move on."

Runa moved between their escape and the kittens. "Look that ones going to hyperventilate in a moment and you two probably don't even know how to get back out the way you just came do you? And yes badgers! They eat small little kittens like you for a snack and pick their pointy little teeth with your rib bones. Do you want to be alone and not know how to fight one when one comes along?" she asked crossing her arms with a smile.
"I can teach you how to move through the forest. I can teach you how to fight something like a badger. Do you even know how to hunt for food?" She said as she looked over them. Rolling her wrists she turned and punched the tree next to her. She hit it hard enough with her brass knuckles that 'Princess' backwards was left marked into the tree. "Do you really want to be in here alone?" she asked. She could let them look for unicorns till they were blue in the face as long as kittens Western dieing in her forest.

Fair was being indecisive..she kept looking between Stone and Lily and was practically dancing in place in that anxious sort of way indecisive children often do as she tried to come up with what she thought would be the best option here. One on paw...this was a stranger - and plenty of stones stories had involved strangers luring away unsuspecting kitten and children and the like, on the other paw this was an adult and she hadn't stabbed them with her knife yet..and he claimed to know something about the forest..which they decidedly did not.
Patting Stone reassuringly she chewed on her lip "Maybe...maybe we should listen to her..." She suggested with a glance to Lily. "I don't want to get eaten by a badger and Stone's going to make himself sick with fright soon, he's going to start throwing up...and thats gross"

"W-Will not!" cried Stoneblaze behind her.
"Hmph." Tigerlily pretended that the sight of the newly imprinted bark only amazed her (which it did) and did not scare her one bit (which it totally did). She made a face as if she was debating this issue of going or staying seriously, even though her mind was already made up. "Fiiiiiine," Lily said after a moment, acting as if this was going to happen because she allowed it. "Teach us, lady. But hurry it up so we can go find our unicorn."
Stone didn't even know why she wanted to find something that clearly didn't exist. Why, he even found a book on horses once that he had shown Lily, and she still didn't believe him!
But would he make a good fighter? Nah . . . he doubted it. But anything so that they weren't gutted!

Alruna smiled at them all and looked over them again. She knew that the male would be hard to teach he seemed to be a bag of scared little beans. She smirked. "No you don't want to be eatin or scratched by a badger. I heard of a pretty girl who moved like a nymph through the trees and she was attacked by a badger, she has sad scars over her chest now and it took her a while to feel comfortable dancing again. Do you want to get hurt like that?" she asked.
"Come we need a more open space then this." she said as she lead them away towards a clearing that she knew of. Her eyes turned down to look at the leader, Lily, and smiled. "What do i have to do to prove to you that there are no Unicorns?" she asked with a smile as she put her brass knuckles away. She wouldn't use them against children that just wasn't right.

"They won't get hurt like that - I won't let them" Fair declared quickly - before Stone started weeping about scars and other such nonsense. not that she could imagine him dancing anyways - though that hardly seemed the point of the story. Shrugging slightly at her companions she started to follow the older cat as she led them away.
"You won't be able too" Fair told her with a glance at Lily "Once she gets something into her head.."She continued with a wry tone "Stone even showed her a book once to prove it but she still didn't believe."

Lily attempted to imagine Stoneblaze dancing - and made such a snickering, it looked like her cheeks would burst. Somehow, this made her oblivious to the comments about unicorns not existing, which was good for the rest of them: otherwise, she would have gone on a tangent about how it was stupid stuff like not believing that killed the poor things in the first place!
Clearly, though, this one didn't have a fear of getting hurt. Oh no. She bounced right along after the older girl to the open area, promptly saying, "I'm Tigerlily by the way, lady~ But everyone calls me Lily for short. What's your name?"
Stone appeared to have given up, for he made a long-suffering sigh under his breath. "Yeah, just, um . . . J-Just don't bother, miss."
Although come to think of it, he kinda wanted to know more about dancing. Although Stoneblaze would never consider mentioning that to either of his sisters in fear of being made fun of. "I-I'm Stoneblaze," he piped in sheepishly. "Lily named me . . ." He honestly thought the name too strong sounding for his personality, but he supposed it was too late to change it now.
