A gloved hand reached up to rub at the back of her still neck, taking her time to roll her head, stretching out the muscles that had tensed from being hunched over a work bench all day. Taking apart and analyzing the G-Ball was delicate work, it was a good thing she had a steady hand and a knack for picking apart and putting together such small devices. With as big as the G-Ball was, she could handle the components just fine, it just took up a lot of time to do it right and make sure she wasn't missing anything.
It had already gotten dark outside, and the time rolled around to the end of the Rocket robotic engineer's shift. It had been a long day, and while she felt tired, she was very content, it had been a productive shift, and she enjoyed every second of it.
"I could use a cup of coffee Kofuku, I think the Cafe tonight if you are alright with that?" She asked the Rocket grunt that she was in company with. Faleen had said they could put forth more of an effort to see one another more often, and Faleen had meant it.
The two women walked down the hall, to the steps that would lead them to ground level, Faleen dressed in her Agent uniform, her hair pulled back into a pony tail, though there were stray strand falling out of it, adding a bit of a warn out look to her. By her gray boot a small black and blue fox pokemon bound happily next to her as she climbed the steps, seeming to have much more energy then her master did at the moment.

Kofuku, unlike her Agent friend, was dressed in casual clothes and had spent her entire day wedged in her room with her headphones on and blaring some hip hop while pouring over the latest medical books she'd borrowed from Dr. Reyard. In fact, she'd been surprised to have bumped into Faleen in the hall right outside her room, but at the same time, thrilled that she'd been asked to come along to get some edibles.
And that's how she found herself in this current situation; walking down the hall in a pair of ripped jean shorts, fitted leather tank top, and sandals with her best friend right beside her. Maybe things between them wouldn't be so bad, maybe things would stay close to how it was before.
"Yeah, that Cafe sounds great! I've been wanting some of those cute little mini cupcakes; they're SO good!" Fuku chirped happily back to the dirty-blond Agent. "Hey.... you look pretty good with your hair up."

There was the distinct sound of boots as someone was coming up from the ground level, where the two girls were headed. There was a flash of red as the figure passed by, a sweep of long hair. He seemed to be a bit on the short side, young, and in an interesting and pristine uniform. A sort of split cape flowing behind him along with those waist length locks that were tipped in maroon.
Green eyes briefly glanced at the pair, but that was all, as he passed. But another pair peeked out from underneath his hair. A pair of ears then poking out as it lifted its head. Another Zorua, perched on his shoulder. "Rooo," the dark Pokemon murmured curiously as it looked at the other.
But the kid showed no signs of slowing down to satiate his Pokemon's curiousity. He merely continued up the stairs in a purposeful stride.

At Kofuku's comment about her hair being up, Faleen gave her a sideways glance. "I usually keep it up when I'm working or training, Lots of small parts in the G-Ball, I can't have distractions." She explained. She was sure her hair looked a little frazzled from being held back all day, having fingers run through it and was even chewed on by a board Zorua before Umbreon barked at her in discipline.
"But thank you" she accepted the complement anyway, shifting a data-pad tablet from under her arm.
Everyone in the Base was used to the fact that it was full of Rockets, and after as long as she's spent here, faces became more and more familiar as time went on, and she got to know the team a little better. So when a boy passed, that Faleen did not recognize, it did catch her glance a little longer than normal. He was in an odd uniform, if it was a uniform at all, it had no Rocket emblems on it. Frowning with slight curiosity, eying a Zorua was was perched on his shoulder.
Zorua skidded to a halt when she heard the familiar cry of one of her own kind coming from the boy that just passed her master. "Zooouu!" She howled back, red eyes blinking back at the green eyes peeking out from its master's red hair.

A grin came over the grunts face as Faleen took the compliment. "So how are you enjoying your new duties?"
Of course, her attention was quickly taken away from her friend to the boy that was walking towards them. Eyebrows arching a little, she looked him over quickly as he passed in front of them, looked ahead for all but a second, then quickly looked back behind her in a double take. "Wow.... " she breathed out. "Don't think I've seen him around...."
Long hair down, the strands of her purple-pink hair rustled, then parted as Ichigo peeked her head out from her favorite hiding spot; Kofuku's shoulder with a curtain of hair. "Chu?" Was there a hint of interest in her human's voice?

The howl from the other Zorua piqued his interest even more. The red and gray male's eyes widening a little before returning the howled greeting. "Zooou!"
This drew a grimace from the boy as the Pokemon howled right in his ear, then lept from his shoulder and bounded down the stairs back to the girls and that pretty girl Zorua.
"Tyke!" A harsh voice then lashed out in disapproval, causing the Zorua to stop dead in his tracks and flatten his ears. Shamefully Tyke looked back at his master with his tail tucked.
The red haired Rocket had stopped and was looking over his shoulder down at his Pokemon. "Leave them alone." "Raaaa." Tyke whined in disappointment.

When the boy jumped down and started toward them, Zorua's ears perked and she dropped down onto her elbows in a playful posture, bushy tail wagging in the air behind her. But then the boy's master snapped at him, the other Zorua had to stop. "Zoru?" she questioned pushing herself up, with a tilt of her head.
Having continued down a couple more steps, only pausing when she became aware of not only her friend's distraction, but her Zorua's. Looking back over when she heard the younger rocket start to scold his Zorua. This didn't bother her at all, if they misbehaved then they needed to be reminded who the master was, but this time, it would seem her Zorua had helped instigate this behavior. Kofuku did voice what Faleen suspected, though it was hard to tell what rank he was, he wasn't in uniform.
Gray boots turning to trudge back up a couple more steps, looking at her shiny pokemon. "Zorua, come here" Faleen spoke. Zorua turned her head at the command, giving a sad little whine herself before pouncing back over to Faleen, sitting down in front of her boots and barking up at her.
Faleen clearly couldn't understand what Zorua was saying to her. having glanced back over to the boy, glancing at his dark pokemon, not to many Zorua were in the HQ. and since she had gotten her own, she had taken quite an interest in them "Is he young?" she asked the new Rocket.

Glancing over at Faleen, who had become somewhat wrapped up with her Zorua, Kofuku grinned a little and leaned over to her friend, whispering. "I so totally call dibsies.... That boy is fiiiiiiine."
Ichigo snickered from her shoulder, then gave her trainer a little n** on the neck to bring her back down from whatever cloud she was on. Yelping a little, the grunt reached back and squacked lightly at the pink-achu. Running a hand through her hair to smooth herself down, she flashed a rather friendly smile to the red-head. "You're a new face here. I'm Kofuku and this is Faleen."

Tyke turned around and started crawling back up the stairs towards his master, but not without sparing a glance back at the other Zorua. Eventually he made his way up to the boy's boots and looked up at him, his tail waving slowly and opening his mouth in an attempt at a cheerful expression.
The red head had turned around at this point and met the Zorua's gaze with a stern frown.
Tyke's expression faded quickly and he heaved a sigh. Yeah, he knew that he had done bad.
The boy then held out his hand, and the Zorua made a leap and used the hand as a spring board to jump back onto his master's shoulder. A little whine escaping him as he flopped down under the mass of red hair and looked forlornly at the other Zorua with half lidded eyes. It had been a really long time since he'd seen another Zorua.
When the two girls spoke, apparently to him, green eyes lifted to regard the two with what appeared to be a bored or unimpressed expression. "Yeah," was the reply to Faleen's question, his voice a bit on the gruff side.
He then looked to Kofuku and narrowed his eyes slightly, before letting out a huff. "I just got here. My name is Asch."
No he didn't have a typical uniform, he didn't really need one with his line of work. But he could easily tell that Faleen was an agent.

The heels of her boots tapped together when she had stopped her pace, leaving the shiny Zorua to sit in the outward gap by her boot toe. The dark fox rolled her head back to look over at the male Rocket and the other Zorua, ears still perked curiously, nose sniffing the air a couple of times. He looked sad now, aww.
Hazel eyes widened a little, looking over at Kofuku with something of an exasperated look. This again? Did Kofuku ever look at a male as anything other than a means for a potential relationship? This made no sense to Faleen. "Mind yourself Kofuku" Faleen replied in an equal undertone to the grunt.
The boy introduced himself, Asch, no rank though. She took note that he wasn't particularly thrilled to be talking to them, that was fine, most Rockets weren't.
So he didn't have a uniform, she didn't know what rank he was. easy enough to find out. Holding the data-pad she had in her arms, her fingers slid over it a few times. Logging into the public rocket files and typing in 'Ash' ... nothing. ... okay, odd. With a soft frown, she instead pulled up the files of those were were scheduled to report in for today. Sliding a finger though the files till a Picture of a boy with red hair caught her eye. 'Asch' thats what she did wrong, quite the unique way of spelling.
She opened his file for just enough time to catch what his rank was. "Agent Asch" she spoke to him again, nodding her head in a polite greeting The tablet was tucked back under her arm. "Welcome to Headquarters."

Kofuku, however, either didn't hear Faleen's retort to her or just wasn't going to mind it, and she took steps to close the gap between them and the boy. Yeah, she'd noticed his eyes narrowing, but it wasn't exactly like her to just back down now, was it?
Holding out her hand, she gave him a grin, ready to shake- and then Faleen called him 'Agent' and she immediately turned her expression around to a more serious expression. Pulling her hand back, hopefully before it was really noticed, she saluted to him. "It's nice to meet you Agent Asch."

While he couldn't hear the exchange between Faleen and Kofuku, Asch could certainly guess what it was about. He wasn't stupid after all.
However, there was a slightly annoyed look on his face when Faleen pulled out her pad and seemed to be looking up something. Undoubtably information about him, as she managed to find out what rank he was. She could have asked.
That perpetual scowl on his face did turn to a bit of a smirk when Kofuku started forwards, seemingly to try and be more friendly... when she caught his rank and thought better of it.
"Heh," was his only reply to the both of them, before he turned his back. "I have things to do." And with that, he started up the stairs again. Tyke peeking around the edge of his master's hair to get one last look at the other Zorua.

Faleen watched as her friend walked up to the Agent, as if she shake his hand, but went to a more respectful gesture instead because of his rank.
This did make her curious, he must be from one of the branches out in Kanto or Johto. he was pretty young to, and an Agent. She wondered what kind of work he did for Rocket to accomplish agent at such a young age.
She hummed thoughtfully to herself before she looked over at Kofuku while he dismissed himself and walked away. "Kofuku" she said quietly to get her friend's attention "Zorua, come along" Glancing down at the dark fox, who was still blinking after the other Zorua with curiosity hopped up to follow Faleen as she continued down the steps.

"Hope you like it here! See you around, sir!" The grunt waved enthusiastically as Asch turned from them, then turned her attention to her friend when her name was called. "Hm? Oh right, coffee!"
Seemingly having finally bounced back from the funk she'd been in for what had seemed like forever, it certainly felt better to not be moping around. And the fact that it looked like her best friend would still be there as her best friend, despite the rank difference and changes in time together, made her feel confident.
Walking in step with Faleen, she shot the Agent a mischievous grin. "So... new guy."

Asch didn't respond, and simply continued on his way. As he said, he had things to do and he didn't care to be held up. He heard another little sigh by his ear, and the young man gave one himself.
Lifting his hand, he ruffled Tyke's headfur a bit. "You can play later."
There would be plenty of time for the Zorua to get to know others around the HQ. But for now, there were more important matters.
