The wardrum music of his star came to a slow calm as they arrived. His kingdom was calm. He had returned. Granted, no one was there to greet them, but he had come home. He had come home, his true love's hand in his own. The cold winds picked at his exposed skin, a teasing welcome back to the cold world he called his own. The rubble scattered around the pair was recognizable. They were where he'd arrived the first time. The Villa. No, it was - Memories came like static. Scenes of young men and women hard at work, training to become better, stronger. Him, watching them, looking for who to chose, who was prime who-
Shaking his head, he breathed in the air. Even the scents were familiar.

"We're here." Saying it out loud he realized how..pathetic it must have looked. Broken, abandoned. Red filled his cheeks, nothing to do with the cold. "Um..yeah." He rubbed his head, clearly embarrassed at the state of things. "Welcome home?"

Well that wasn't quite what she had expected! Lina was struck by the cold and was thankful that, as always, the greater powers of the cosmos were mindful of her discomfort with skin. Hands unlinked from Castor and rubbed at her arms, looking around with a faint smile.

"Not quite what I expected when you said we were going home. It doesn't even look like we're in the Solar System....wait." The idea occured to the former general and her eyes went wide. "We're home?!" There was significance in her tone and the smile got even wider as she rushed forward into the ruins. Lina had no memory of this place but the simple idea that with a thought they had left Earth lightyears behind them was...astounding.

"Castor this is amazing! You never told me you could do this!" Then again, they hadn't spoken in so long. The last time they'd seen each other as anything but enemies had been...then. Cheeks flamed and her head turned quickly to look back in. "It's beautiful. Like Christmas." Her favorite holiday.

He laughed, body shaking. "God no, we're so far from earth it would take them generations to even think of getting here without magic." He was after her, each step she took, he would take after. He'd explored before, now it was her turn. Would she walk down the hallways barking orders? Or would she glide, the image of beauty the court nobles thought she couldn't posses due to her being a knight from earth? Memories flicking in and out. Tiny ones. It was like his world was telling him in it's own way it remembered her. They were one and the same. The nameless woman that haunted him in past visits was the same one who he'd brought with him now. Lina.
"All senshi have this power, to return to our home worlds. It's odd now though." He stopped his walking. "I feel more relaxed this time, more at peace. When I first came here I was tired. Couldn't return, and we had to use our phone but just now-" A tapestry flapped on the wall, the insignia of the elite branch. Castor shrugged. "I didn't need to."

The ruins gave way to the entrance, wooden doors broken off their hinges from an unseen force. Looking at it Castor glared. He couldn't remember why, the broken doors unsettled him. "But I think my world is..happy? It remembers you. Us. It's hard to explain."
It was. One second he was fine, another he was getting flashed of her face, of her laugh, of them. Different, yet similar. "It knows you, and I-" His eyes moved down her outfit before pausing. A grin breaking out on his lips. "I can certainly recall a few things have not changed. I guess when you were brought back the powers that be granted ah..." Eyebrows wiggled. "A few things from your past. Maybe once we're back on earth we'll need to take you out shopping?"

A gust blew by, tickling at his skin again.

Arms which had been halfway crossed across her waist now firmly clamped across her chest and glared. "You would remember from my Captaincy that all it takes is a good push-up bra, and this thing has the most secure harnessing I've ever felt. Good luck getting me out of it!" It was a playful taunt but not quite an offer as arms dropped and ran along the edge of a table lined with flags and covered with maps.

Eyes lingered for a moment, noting the stars that sounded familiar and ones she'd never heard of before. There was even a map that looked like it once upon a time could be...Earth? They were idly flipped before being abandoned. Walking further along, she pushed open one of the only set of intact doors. They were thick and carved all over with symbols that...symbolized something.

Though Castor was under a barrage of memories there was nothing for Lina at all. Nothing, until her eyes looked up at the wall and a shock ran through her. "Castor." A quaver as fingers moved up to the pendant hanging around her neck. The pendant he'd given her. "Castor that's me." Black-clad fingers pointed up at the painting of a woman on the wall.

She was dressed in a fur-trimmed gown of deep burgundy, seated with blue hair rippling over her shoulders and down her back. The face was faded with time and features could barely be seen yet the deep thrum of recognition was there. "What is this room? Who was...I? She?" One of the first memories was always the hardest and gold eyes were wide and seeking.

Did he know?

Growling, he followed he. "Don't challenge me Lina, I might just try it. Unlike earth, here in space, no one can hear you scream. Well, except me. But that's okay given the type of screaming." Did he plan to spend the night here? Maybe, he knew it would be cold but a few places they would be warm enough with the furs and safe from the wind's touch.
Outside, the clouds of moving hail that fell harmlessly to the ground passes, the sound a tiny echo like raindrops. The ground was covered in green and the trees alread had buds shooting out, ready to open into various colors. Spring had come early here. Lina's voice shook Castor from his thoughts yet again.

"This was-" Eyes flicked around. Oh. "This was my personal war room. I'd come here to draw up strategies and speak with my men." The explanation came like a second nature. But the vividness came when looking at the painting. "I had that painted shortly before we married. You were my wife, my earthen wife." His fingers brushed the pendant. "And this was my gift of courtship to you, I- I used to be able to do something with it. But I don't remember what. Only that it would make you flustered."

He was grinning like a dope. "I think I have a painting of you naked somewhere."
PostPosted: Sat Apr 02, 2011 9:14 pm

Naked? Naked?! Lina wished desperately for a moment that this icy planet had a fire on it somewhere, so that she could find this mythical portrait and burn all remains of it. It didn't matter that it was her supposed past life. This young woman hanging on the wall was close in figure to the way she looked now and to have something like that hanging on a wall was...humiliating almost.

What in the hell had possessed her past self to allow that?!

Eyes narrowed at Castor and she turned on a rounded black heel, hands on her hips to face him. "No one can hear me scream? Prince or no Prince I bet I can take you still. I'm all healed up and it's not my life on the line. I bet I can kick your butt like I did that first time." There was another random vague thought that there had been more than one time but the first had been the most thrilling.

Where had that come from?

He was smiling at the painting, recalling how he'd had to bribe her into it and beg her for it. She was strong willed then, just like she was now. Blue eyes darted over to Lina and laughter bubbled out. "You made the same face then where you first saw it. You told me you wanted it else where, someplace no one would see it." He walked over, brushing hair from her neck. "just for my eyes only." Kissing her neck, arms and wings wrapped around her affectionately.
Growling, hands roamed until they wrapped around her, pulling the smaller body into his own. "Mmm Maybe I want a fight. You fought me when no one would have thought to. You challenged me. You were my Daphne." A twitch as he said her name out loud. "....My nymph."
PostPosted: Sun Apr 03, 2011 2:54 pm

Daphne allowed herself to be pulled in by the prince and smiled almost wickedly. He thought he could hold her, hm? The smile faded somewhat when instead of teleporting out of his grasp like normally would have happened, she was simply trapped in his embrace. Apparently a Knight had no power to teleport the way a Negaverse general did.

Sacrifices. Balance. Depressing s**t like that.

"I'm surprised that I'd even let your eyes see something like that. Maybe myself then was a lot more casual about being naked but now...mm. I don't even let you take pictures of me in my shorts!" Standing on tiptoes had their cheeks brushing when she pulled his head down to hers, smiling in remembrance. Castor might have been lost in memories but Lina was firmly grounded in this life and this place now.

Her memories were for a different place, though she didn't know it yet. It was a faint longing and the need to hear the rustle of leaves in branches, smell the fragrance of olives. It was the warm sun on her face, none of that which was here.

"But if it's a fight you want..." Her leg came back and swept behind his ankles, ducking under his arm as she did so and trying to scoot out of the way. If he fell, he'd fall hard, and she could start running.

Then he'd have to catch her! This Daphne was, if nothing else, twice as playful as her counterpart!

Male pride bubbling up as he was allowed to those moments to know he had her. She was his. HIS. He fought for her, and now he had her. In his defense she'd agreed to it. Not just in this life time, but in the past as well. Ah, the bonds of marriage. And of starseeds and souls. Fingers played with the fringes of her outfit, teasing. "Oh I'm sure if we looked hard enough we could find it. And one day I'll have that photo. One day-" There was his playful tone rushing out, nothing to do with the past, all of it being for the future. Their future. Sure, it was be a fight, but when was love anything but? He was willing to fight. He'd done it for her already, and he wasn't about to stop now.

And when the foot caught his and he went crashing down, Castor was certainly intent of fighting her now. Grunting as landed, he was only able to see her flee around a corner. Smirking, the prince was up and after her in a heart beat, chasing her in and out, through broken gates, past crumbled building, into a place he'd found to be of both sad memories and joyous ones.

A hand grabbed hers and wrapped her in his embrace, wings circleing their lower halves. Flowers yet to blossom and grass shooting from the ground all around them. They were in the broken remain of the royal gardens. The place Castor had found her necklace. They place he knew was important, yet had forgotten why. "Ah, Daphne, you can't escape me. I will chase you until I have you in my arms." He kissed her cheek. "Where I can love you and not worry that you might slip away from me."
PostPosted: Sun Apr 03, 2011 4:24 pm

Eyes softened behind the lost haze of memories. This was not her planet but this place was hers more than anything on any place could be, save her sacred grove of trees on the bright side of Mercury. Castor had cultivated it for her, made it for her, it had been the symbol of his love that any visitor to this place could see and understand. The prince loved his wife and would have done anything to have her. Had done quite a lot to have her in fact.

"Escape you? Why would I ever want to do that?" Her hands cupped his face and lips met so softly. "I tried to run away from you once and every time we got closer and closer in spite of it. A new lifetime couldn't separate us, we've always been drawn together. You walked past me and sat down when I wasn't anything but a sad looking girl. I could never say what it was that drew me in so quickly but I know now." Fingers of her left hand reached in and lifted the pendant so that it could hang between them. Beneath the black glove a pucker could be seen -- Elzo's engagement ring.

"I gave up everything for you twice now. I'll never be able to slip away. Don't let me slip away." Her body pressed in against his and unknowning to both of them, the ice started to melt. More green shoots appeared beneath their feet, around them, and around the chipped ice that had hidden her pendant a single daisy unfurled its petals.

Spring was finally coming to Castor.

He was swaying back and forth, relishing the moment. Lina in his arms, on his home world, the song of his star rumbling like faint melody in the back of his skull. A long time ago they had chased each other, and this life was no different. Lina ran from him, and Castor chased her. No matter what happened the end result was the same, they were bound by love. He couldn't have let her go if he tried. "You're my goddess, my star, my princess, my knight, my everything." He relaxed, arm around her waist, guiding her to in the center of the frozen field. There was something important about this place. About-

Looking down into her eyes Castor was thrown back into a vivid memory.

The screams of men and women, arrows flying and spears thrown into the throng of something. Blood on his hands, his face, his chest. gash in his leg. A stab in his arm. Arrows littering one wing. A spear stuck in his back, his other wing broken and dragged in the once pure blossoms. A woman on the ground, her chest moving slowly. He'd seen her fall. He was close to falling but he could not fall, not until he was able to say he was sorry. Sorry things had turned out like had. He hadn't wanted this. This was not what should have been. This was wrong.
Lifting her into his harms, she was so much smaller now, fragile, weak. Her smile, telling him she got so many. They fell like flies to her. A cheap shot. She was sorry. He was sorry. So sorry. All he wanted was to live with her. Love her. Give her his whole world. But god, it was getting harder to breathe. Warm red blood was pooling under them, a deep wound in her side, the spear in his back now just a throb.

"I love you." The words he'd said to her then, Castor repeated as tears filled his eyes, mind living the vivid memory. "I swear, it won't end here. I won't give you up. I will never give up. Someday we'll have our world. Our life together. I promise you, I won't ever leave you Lina. I love you, and I will be with your forever." Looking at Lina, his lips touched her's. "For eternity." A desperate cry to Cosmos in his heart, to never part from her. To find her again. To live with her again. What was life with out but a walking death? He would die here, but do not grant him a life again without her. His silent prayer before the darkness embraced him, the flowers under them, drowned in red.

The promise he'd made over 2000 years ago. Repeated to her once more. The bond of two starseeds. Of true love. The space cauldron had heard his wish. His prayer. Lina was with him again. Castor's fingers lace in her's. Around them, ice melted at the star grew brighter in the sky, the flowers blooming as the world felt the prince's joy, the warm and heat of his star. Of his love.

All around them, as they stood where they had once died, bright blue daises, the color of Linarite's hair, glittered like gems. The royal garden he'd grown for her. A gift to her. "I love you Daphne." He smiled, the memory washed by the sight of the knight in front of him. "I will never let you go. Not then. Not now." He brought her hand to his lips. Kissing her ring under the glove. "Not ever."

"You did keep your promise." Daphne's voice was faint beneath the barrage of the same memory. While this was not her place, she had lived here as Castor's wife long enough that two very strong emotions were imprinted in this place; love for him, and the pain and sorrow of her death in this place. "It was the last thing I ever heard and now it's..." Her head shook and eyes closed as her forehead rested lightly against the cool metal of his breastplate.

"It's like drowning, isn't it? Not a bad drowning but sometimes the feelings are so strong it's like dying all over again. Twice in a month, I'm really on a roll." Her gaze slanted to look up at him, trying to be playful, and then down at their feet. "Oh! Oh Castor look!" Her hand still linked in his Lina knelt down to brush fingers across the soft petals. "They're so beautiful!"

It seemed that everything in this place seemed brighter, warmer, greener somehow. Was it because of her...or rather of them? Together? It seemed impossible yet it was happening. "I wish we could stay here and bring life to this place. Just let it be you and I, nobody else bothering us or calling me a traitor. No more fighting. Just....just us."

Standing, slim black arms wrapped around her prince and love. "Wouldn't that be wonderful?"

The tiny moment of silence as he stood there, wing brushing by and petals of blue sapphire blooming under the glowing sunlight as the love of his life spoke of things he could recall in a hazy fog. There were memories here. So many memories. Most them, having to do with her. "You said once you dreamed you could have a garden of daisies the color of you hair." He picked on up, twirling it in his fingers before placing it into on of her braids. "One dream I was able to make into reality." In the distance, loomed the Castle, and for a second Castor knew why he didn't feel inclined to it. The Castle meant nobility. Something...he had not been fond of, even with his given title.

As the moment drifted away, Castor felt a tender smile crawl upon his face as Lina's voice kept filling the air. Taking her in his arms, he held her tight and they fell to the ground, wings quickly wrapping around them, encasing them. "We could stay here. Just the two of us. I'm sure with a bit of work a great many of the old rooms are intact and in just need of some cleaning. Their are fruit trees and I can always hunt and-" His voice weakened. "And then what would we do?" Sighing, his wing fell to his sides, limp. "It would be nice, but...that is what we are born to do." he kissed her forehead. "I'm a senshi, I- I am meant to help others. Protect others. You're a Knight, for all that means. We were not given these power just to hide away." Finger combed her hair idly. "We were given them with a purpose. One of those...being to save lives."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 05, 2011 3:43 pm

Reaching out of the enfolding blanket of Castor's wings, Daphne brushed her fingers over the petals of the delicate little wildflowers. "I guess some things never change. Remember the flower I gave you for Valentine's Day? Ever since I was a little girl I'd put flowers in blue food coloring to make their petals turn the same color as my hair. Sometimes even my eyes, though I guess I liked the idea of nobody being able to tell I had flowers tucked in there." Not even the talk about duty could stop the smile on her face, or the softness in her eyes.

"I guess there's no internet here, WoW is out for something to do. And I suppose we would get a bit lonely after awhile, even with each other for company." Fingers brushed hair back from Castor's forehead, twirling some of it around her fingers for a moment before sighing. "It's such an ugly war we're tied into. I have so many questions that I need to know the answers to. There's so much I just don't know and it drives me crazy!" Impatience and frustration were showing now.

"I know why I am a Knight. I protect the galaxy and everyone in it. That means I'm going to have to fight my friends and show them what I was shown." A soft look. "What you helped me see." After all, she would have never blinked about senshi had Castor not first made her doubt.

Sick of the levity of the moment, fingers walked up the metal breastplate with light tapping motions. "However, I think we could keep ourselves occupied for at least a month. You'd figure out something." Or he was obviously a zombie. Or possessed.

He grinned as she talked, even when getting to that drab and depressing stuff. What was the point of it all? Oh right serious business. Seriously. "Ah, don't worry to much about finding answers right away. They'll come when they come. And hey-" His hands combed in her hair, simple touches bringing more comfort to him as the events of the night sank in. It still didn't seem real, it still seemed like a dream.

The tapping of his breastplate and his eyes snapped open. Oh. Ohhhhh. Was she feeling playful? He hoped so. Okay he was REALLY hoping she was. n his defense they were free to be who they were now. No smoke and mirror. Nothing hidden between them. Eyes glanced down at her chest. Mhmm. Nothing hidden.

"You know...I think there is one place you haven't seen yet." A grin. "Or really, you haven't seen it in 20o0 years. A visit is in order I think."
