It had been years since he had seen his brother.. Years. He wasnt even sure where he was residing these days, but he had heard that he was living in the desert pride.
So here Wazaam was, heading in that direction in hopes of reuniting. He didnt plan on staying, nonono, he could never stay in a pride. They seemed so constricting. His
sparkling blue eyes glittered as the suns rays lit them up. He had always fancied sand, as he enjoyed sinking in it when he walked. He just seemed to have more fun walking
across the sandy terrain rather than the lands of the grass. He was excited, and rather sure he would run into his brother. He was hoping that he hadnt been forgotten, but
they werent just cubs when they had seperated. They had been juveniles, torn away and raised seperately from fueding parents.
His body was heavy on his paws today. He was sure it was because he had traveled so far in such a short amount of time. He had just been at the beach about a weak earlier, and
this place was without an ocean. It was incredibly different than where he had been. He half wondered what his brother saw in this place. He shrugged, and decided it didnt matter.
If Marut'Tiki was happy, he would be able to be happy and free as well. He wondered if he had had cubs. Wazaam had been lucky enough so far that all his escapades with the ladies
had resulted in merely a nights pleasure and not in the full belly of a female. That was, he was unaware of being one.
He kept a watchful eye out, trying to make sure that he wouldnt have any issues finding him. His brother was a lighter orange than himself, which made him slightly less visible in all
situations like Waz was. Wazaam was the brightest orange he could have been, and he liked it that way. He had taken after father, and Tiki had as well.. His poor lily white mother
only showing in traits of the boys.
He saw him rather quickly, and he thanked his lucky stars to having been able to find him as quickly as he had. Tiki always had been the loner type, and he had felt certain he wouldnt
be in the heart of the pride. He padded over in a trot, hoping to get to him quickly yet not frighten him, in case he didnt remember. Stranger things had happened. A smile was evident
on his maw as he approached.
"Tiki?" He asked. When the other whipped his head around, both eyes lit up in a sense of familiarity. Tiki hadnt forgotten, and the fact that he was there at all warmed the other males heart.
"Wazaam!" He called back, running to his brother and batting at his shoulders with his paws. He had missed him so.. He hadnt liked living without his big brother, but he had to do it. Father
wouldnt allow him to visit his mother, and vice versa..
"Its been a long time, brother. I have missed you dearly.." Tiki said, nodding his head at him and smiling up. His purple eyes gleamed as he looked over his brother. He had definitely gotten bigger.
He was obviously bigger than himself, but he had filled out with muschle. Tiki had taken the smaller frame of their mother, and remained average size for a male. He swayed his tail back and forth,
happily enjoying this reunion. It was long past due.
"It has, Tiki.. I have been searching for you for seasons! I'm lucky you left a trail behind you." He chuckled. Asking about an orange lion was easy when the color wasnt the most common color in the
pridelands. A few had given him directions on where he maybe had gone. Though for each helpful hint, there was one that lead him on a wild goosechase, only to run in circles to find the other
had no idea what they were talknig about.
"How have you been?! Its so rude of me not to ask you. Youre probably living the dream life." Wazaam said, looking at his brother earnestly. He had probably had a family. Why else would he join a pride?
He had always been like his brother. They didnt belong in prides, they didnt always live by the rules. But from the look of it, his brother was doing just fine. It made him a bit envious, but then he reminded
himself he was not interested whatsoever in joining any pride.
Tiki smiled, nodding his head and looking behind him lovingly, and then turning his purple gaze back to his brother. He had a family all right. A large one, with a mate that had done most of the raising.
He hadnt been one to want to raise cubs. Hell he hadnt even been one to want to have cubs. He just did what Shani wanted to make her happy. Though he was pretty deadset on not having anymore. She could just
baby these ones until she was old and grey. Yes that sounded like a plan.
"Indeed! I wouldnt say a dream life but its most certainly not bad." He chuckled.
"I have a mate, a priestess in our pride. We had cubs awhile back, though now said cubs are almost adults and ready to be free from their parents den Im sure." He said, nodding and smiling. He knew that the
den was getting crowded. Quite a few arguments sprung out on who got what spot of the den, and what part of the meal. They were really beginning to come into their own.
"Youve done well! I am enjoying life as a bachelor, and thankfully Ive had no cubs. Though I do remember your dislike of them. I commend you for actually having them. I assume it was for your mate?"
He asked, inquiring as to why his brother had such a change of heart.
"She rules me, and not in the bad way. If its a fair task, Ill do it for her. However im not sure she could ever convince me of it again. It was an experience better left at once."
Wazaam laughed a full throated laugh, and nodded. Oh that was his brother he remembered.
"Come brother, and you shall meet them." Tiki said, smiling and turning to head back. It was time he go back to Shani, and he knew Waz wouldnt stay long. So he invited him gladly.
"Dont mind if I do." Wazaam said, nodding, and followed his brother home.
