The walk took a lot longer than she suspected, but really considering who she was walking with she shouldn't have been surprised. Still when she opened the door she decided it was well worth the effort, even if walking to her room would have meant she'd been in bed way sooner.
It was surprisingly clean, just a bit of clutter, and had the most sinfully comfortable looking bed and couch. She knew she could count on Barth having a comfy place to crash, and without two very clingy dolls waiting for her. Was it just her or had gravity suddenly increased, she had the most absurd urge just to slump down and sleep.
Talk ghoul, maybe then you could stay awake just bit longer.
"Nice place, very clean- is that a HD skellyvision?"
She'd only just noticed the device, what they said was true, the demon dorms had all the nice things. Jack, she didn't even have the most basic skellyvision in her room.

"Yes," he said, simply.
Barth reeled towards the bed, grasping the post like a very tired drowning sailor finding a raft, then sank into the mattress. He unpeeled one arm from the downy comforter, finding his shoulders to slowly unstrap his backpack, then his jacket.
"Crash anywhere," he said, voice muffled. "Bed, sofa, chair, floor, desk. Extra pillows and blankets are in my closet. Or around, somewhere," he made a vague motion with his claws. His voice was weary in an emotionally drained way, past the normal tired haze.
"Or help yourself to the-" he didn't finish, and instead gestured towards the kitchenette, and his massive refrigerator.

Mandy watched silent as Barth crashed onto his bed, half-heartedly trying to get out of his backpack and jacket. Momentarily the thought of all the filth he was putting in his bed from his clothes and that really she should have gone to her room and showered and changed first before deciding that was simply too much effort and Barth obviously didn’t care either way. Or hadn’t thought of it.
Dumping her own jacket, or well Lizzy’s, and her backpack by the door she shambled over to the bed and after helping Barth by taking his jacket and backpack and placing them by the bed she too collapsed onto the other side of his bed. “Food sounds nice but sleep sounds nicer after everything.”
A pause before a rather morbid thought occurred to her, “Didn’t even get to sleep when I was dead. So much for that saying.”
The idea of dying and not instantly reforming was starting to settle more for her and be less traumatizing, it wasn’t like she had been stuck there forever – just for a while. Hell it had been kind of peaceful.

He had to agree, on the sleeping part. He and Mandy, he found, could often agree on that subject.
"You died?" Barth asked, slowly making his way to the pillows. "...Really died?"
He hadn't ever really died before, although he was aware that it happened. To other people. He had come close a few times. ...All recently. Why was high school so hard?
...Was that what had happened to everyone?
"Do you remember what it was like?"

"Yeah I died, said so earlier didn’t I? The blades in the cove got me like a bunch of others.". She paused and sighed, clearly considering whether or not to mention something. Finally in barely a whisper she added on, "I called for you just before they hit, it was the first time I'd gotten proof you where alright since we crashed."
Once again she fell into silence, thoughtful this time from his second question, considering exactly how to describe what she could remember. "It was cold. First thing I noticed, stayed with me the whole time. Kinda weird because I didn’t have even a spirit body to be cold, I was just.... nothing. Could see the whole island, bird’s eye view. And... well. The fog wasn’t fog, yeah? 'Cos, all across the island where children, dead but a sight more corporal then me and they were all staring. I- I can’t remember at what though. It’s a bit.... hazy."
Well, this discussion was downright depressing.
