Born and raised in the town of Silent Hill, Bella was the notable golden child of the town. She was a rather noteworthy beauty at a young age and she'd only further blossomed into something greater. As a young girl she attended school at Midwich Elementary School and then the local high school. She was then offered a full scholarship to any college of her choice, she was trilled but her parents looked down at her for leaving to go to school, due to the fact that she would be away from their religious group, 'The Order'. They feared that the outside world would 'corrupt' their daughter, and they were correct. Having experienced life away from the abuse of The Order, Bella realized that life had greater meaning than The Order made it seem like, their goal being to create paradise. However having tasted the freedom that she had never known Bella made a grave mistake in the eyes of her religion; she discovered that she was pregnant in her final year of college. In a panic she was unsure of what to do. She made and even deadlier mistake and called her parents. In an instant they had traveled to her college dorm and practically kidnapped her and brought her back to Silent Hill. The Order was, of course, extremely outraged at the situation their devout golden child was in, and they decided they had to banish the sin and purify the situation. The child was to be Sacrificed to their false God as an offering. After the difficult labor and birth of the child Bella named her baby Allison. When she was alone with one of the nurses of the hospital she pleaded for the nurse to take her baby and run away from Silent Hill. Confused, the nurse refused Bella's plea and tried to leave. But before she could remove herself from the situation Bella quickly explained what was going to happen to her child, and with the clear details she gave the nurse new that it wasn't the medication talking. she turned and picked up the baby from the nursery bed and looked to Bella who cried softly as she nodded in acknowledgment and then she left the hospital room. She took the child and traveled away from Silent Hill, the newborn cried the entire way as though she knew what was happening! The nurse then went into a different hospital and located the birthing ward. She found a couple who had just given birth to a stillborn daughter, she handed Allison over to them, taking with her only their last name, 'Borough'.
When the nurse arrived back at the hospital she was questioned about the location of the baby, she told them that the baby had died from underdevelopment; complications with the lungs. The matter was quickly closed as the Order decided that it was the will of their God. Bella was told by the nurse secretly that her daughter had been given to a couple known as the Boroughs and that they were well respected in their community.
After leaving the hospital, after recovering from the difficult birth, Bella found a job singing at a lounge in Silent Hill. The golden child had returned to the hearts of the people of the town, though often than not she could still hear whispers of her 'sin' going around her. She had returned golden but slightly tarnished... Her singing carrier was going smoothly, she was given requests to sing in different places but soon she was given the chance to preform at the local Artaud theater regularly. She was quite a hit, though she could never escape the whispering behind her back. But even to this day her theater poster can be found around the town, and her portraits can be found in the Artaud Theater lobby, Alchemilla Hospital Lobby, in the local church of the Order, the Riverside motel, and other such locations. However the original is inside her home.
As time passed Bella was reinstated into the order and given a higher position of responsibility. She was to educate the children of the order. However her kind and caring ways were soon discouraged by the leaders of the Order, they believed that children should be treated strictly and harshly disciplined. They believed that this would give the children a better view of the world. Thus Bella was forced to discipline the poor children. While she believed in the Order, she did not believe in it's way of education.
There was a split in Bella. One half of her was a devout follower of the Order, but the other half was completely against their ways. This caused her much pain in her life. When Allessia was to be burned for their God to be born, Bella was one of the very few who tried to stop the entire thing. But she was caught by Dahlia and the members of the Order and imprisoned for doing so. When Allessia was then put into Alchemilla hospital Bella was one of the only people to visit her, but because of her actions she was barred from doing so by the hospital staff. However a young nurse by the name of Lisa Garland allowed her to see the burn victim only once. Doing so, Bella entered her hospital room and looked toward the burned child, she heard her raspy breathing and tears filled her eyes. She went in close and tried to control her weeping, she cried out, "I'm so sorry... I'm sorry... Forgive us..." When her weeping overtook her completely Lisa then quickly removed her before she could draw attention to the room.
When Alessia's emotions erupted and took the town of Silent Hill Bella found herself alone. She looked around, being in the other world version of Silent Hill. She saw the nurses that were in the hospital and before she knew it she heard a siren blare and fell unconscious. When she awoke she was with the members of The Order and as time passed she realized that Dahlia knew her daughter was still alive, and Bella knew what had happened to the town. She was determined to help... But how helpful can someone be when they are emotionally torn in two?
