I'm doing an experiment where I 7pool *every* game to see what league I can get to. I'm starting at Bronze, and I want to take this as far as it will go. It certainly would've been easier with an older map pool, but hey. So far Terran give the most trouble if they wall off quickly. So yeah, I'll keep you guys updated =]

should take you all the way up to Masters if I'm not mistaken. people have done this with 4Gate and it brought them to Masters also.
i'd do something like this also but I'd get way too bored with it. but good luck with your games.

we'll see though. 7pool is kind of a joke to stop sad it's getting a little slow vs plat players now...

Well I just hit Diamond league, 85-31 ratio of 6pool every game. The boredom is really kicking in now, so yeah... .... ...
and I wonder how badly this has atrophied my ability to play this game for reals >_>

A 6 pool can be really effective so long as it's executed perfectly, by a skilled player and if you follow through properly. I haven't been beaten by a 6 pool too often, but it has happened a couple of times, all depends on how well your opponent can execute it, and how you decided to open.

6 pools can be scary if your opponent knows what he's doing and tries to take out your pool/gateway/barracks first. If he just sends them straight into the mineral line, it's never gonna work well enough for him to win.

I haven't been beaten by a 6 pool too often, but it has happened a couple of times, all depends on how well your opponent can execute it, and how you decided to open. no i ment both and yes it dose depend how well its executed when it happens i just use scvs have a line fighting and a line repairing the fighters I've done it before, where I send my drones off the line, but they will do their damage, and run away as you get the surround, and use your lack of mining time, and your couple of drone losses against you, rally to your base and reinforce constantly, you don't need very many drones in order to keep making lings for reinforcements. And if you're in ZvZ they can reinforce with dual spine crawlers, which can be devastating unless you already have your pool up and know that the 6 pool rush is coming. As for to say you've never lost to a 16 pool would be to say you've never lost to zerg, as a 16 pool is neither cheese nor standard as that pool would be WAY too late. A standard pool comes out between the 13-15 mark depending on how you open. Fast gas, pool first, or fast expand.
