Hey all,Idxem here.
I've been under the weather lately and taking time off school and work.
And with not much to do at my house, and my game collection being rather boring or frustrating (for some reason, when I'm sick critical thinking isn't really my strongest point ehe ^^;;; )
So, I've decided to use this opportunity to catch up on my anime viewing.
You guys seem knowledgeable anime wise, got any suggestions?

LunarBreeze -2 Paxsya -2 I have a few ideas. (im not sure if you already know any of these.) Ouran High School Host Club Soul Eater Fullmetal Alchemist (my favorite anime ever) Devil May Cry
OHSHC : seen it like.. 3 times, met some of the english voice actors at a con. It's a good series.
FMA : Seen it, own the film, seen brotherhood, read the manga (I cried a lot over the course of the series T ^ T), I'm a Risembool Ranger too if like that counts for something. ;P
Soul eater - I've heard of this, I'll add it to the now started list of stuff to watch. ^^
DMC: I didn't know an anime existed for it, but I've played some of the games.

Yep, I got to cons all the time. Anime North in Toronto every year (I'm going as Ash Ketchum this year which means I'm dying my hair black because it's cheaper than buying a $50 wig xD), Fan Expo in the summer (although..that one isn't as fun), Toronto comic arts festival (also known as TCAF. This is a free con so it's cool). I also attend various like events and stuff. Like, I went to the launch party for Volume 6 of Scott Pilgrim. That was fun.
(most of the conventions and stuff I attend are in Toronto which is like..an hour away from the town I live in. ehe ^^;; But I plan to go to a few in Montreal next year)
Aww! That sucks!! D: I'm sure one day you'll get to go to a con!

it's my current life goal (kinda pathetic, but idc) and when i get an outfit im planning on cosplaying at the mall as Maka (soul eater) or L (death note) <--- not sure how well the shoe-less-ness would be though.

that's not pathetic, what would be pathetic would be giving up on going to a con!
Random location cosplays? Those are always fun.
I wanna do an Ace Attorney cosplay at an airport just for something to do, and I've been to my local game store (which oddly enough is where I current work..weird how those things end up working out.) dressed as Xion once (which was..last time I dyed my hair xD)
Hmm... Well, doesn't L in the anime have a pair of really really ratty looking sneakers he's worn on a few occasions?
If that doesn't work you could always wear white flipflops. I've seen that done before and it's always well respected. It's even recommended by some cosplay communities.

okay, not pathetic it is whee thanks for the help. I really want to cosplay organization 13, but the cloak is so gosh darn (i held myself back there, lol.) expensive. I also want to dye my hair black rather than find a wig, but i don't think my parents would let me crying

Ugh tell me about it. My friend loaned me hers for my random impromptu cosplay.
The hair dying thing shouldn't be too much of an issue if you get one of those rinses, that's what I do. They come out after a few washes. But it also depends on how light your hair is, like if it's blonde it would take longer than if it were dark brown like mine.
Wow, we should really take all cosplay based discussion to the cosplay section ^^;

if i could, i would cosplay with you at a con (or just go to the mall or something fun) but i live pretty far away. i really want to see how many people look at me funny when i go to the mall. I'll defiantly send pics when (if) we (me and jetty) cosplay though. I'm going to make a list of who i want to cosplay in the future in the cosplay forum biggrin
