 'Riyya was napping, or at least trying to. She had managed to find just the tiniest bit of shade on the hot plains. Her paws felt raw and scorched. Between naps, she slowly licked them. Trying to get slightly cooler, she moved parts of her in and out of the shade.
The lioness thought she'd done ok distance wise. It was so hard for her to tell. Her stomach growled and she tried to shush it. 'Riyya knew she couldn't stay here long if she wanted to live. Her blind eyes turned out; as though she was scanning the horizon, even though no imaged revealed itself to her.

Abla spread out her wings she knew where she was going, well she kind of did. To a point she was just flying taking the moment to spread her wings and stretch them out and give them a chance to feel useful. The 'pride' that she settled into was carrying about their normal everyday doings. She wasn't that sure where her brother was she knew that he wasn't that far off but she figured he was busy so she had to amuse herself some how and for now it was time to just relax. If only she could find a place to do it.
She spotted something under a tree, it looked like a lion, she didn't see the hurt in dropping into it. She had a feeling it wouldn't hurt at all. She didn't have anything else to do and some company was nice she was hoping that the other lioness would enjoy it. She flapped her wings a little slower bringing herself to a stop as she lowered herself to the ground She shifted her few a few times before she looked toward the lioness and started walking in her direction. "Hello ma'am." She commented with a smile and a nod. as she got closer she was wondering if the lioness was okay, she hoped that she was she didn't like the idea of seeing someone else hurt.

Shukriyya listened to the flapping of wings for several moments before it registered. What could be flying about now? She hoped it wasn't buzzards. Her ears quivered slightly as they tracked the noise. Testing the wind, the scent of lioness reached her. So it wasn't buzzards.
Her head turned slightly from side to side as 'Riyya tried to pinpoint the lioness' location. Hearing the other land gave her a pretty good idea where she was. The red lioness nodded her head in greeting. She happened to have her head turned directly toward Abla.
"Hello there. You smell like lioness, but I heard the sound of wings. How is this?"

"Ah..." Her voice trailed for a moment before she spoke up to the lioness with a grin on her face she couldn't help but to feel a little happy, the lioness seemed to be friendly so far, that was good she liked the idea of having a friendly company for a little while. She paused and listened to the lionesses' question before speaking out to her. "Well. It depends you may or may not believe me. Some lions do, others do not." She paused and wiggled her toes below her before smiling at the lioness.
"I am a goddess." She smiled and then nodded again. "I am Abla, the Goddess of Hardships." she nodded again before looking at the lioness, as the lioness blind? she wasn't that sure.

Shukriyya tilted her head to the side. She knew that not all lions told the truth. Some lied, and lied well. All the lions she had ever met, none of them had wings. If this lioness was telling the truth, then it would seem that a few did. She had the evidence before her. 'Riyya knew she had not heard footsteps coming near and she had heard wings. Could she have a bird familiar that flapped its wings to cover her steps?
A goddess? She had never met one of them either. This story was sounding very far fetched indeed. After a moment's thought she devised a way to confirm or deny the lioness' story.
"I have no reason not to believe you, nor believe you. You say that some do, and I have heard the wing sounds. Would you allow me to touch and feel your wings?"

Abla paused as she looked at the lioness before she smiled and nodded before speaking. "Yes you can." She moved closer to the lioness and stood next to her moving her wings enough that the lioness can touch them. "once is right in front of you." She nodded at her and flicked her tails around some so she knew that it was there. "Are you blind?" She asked the lioness curiously, she was hoping the lioness didn't feel nervous.
She paused thinking the lioness had to be blind she was pretty sure of it. "Are you blind?" She asked curiously, she hoped that she didn't offend but she knew what it was like to be blind. "I once was blind." She mentioned to the lioness making sure that she knew that the lioness wasn't the only one, maybe it would make her feel better to know that she was also blind, she knew in some cases it made others happy to know that even gods had imperfections.

'Riyya was slightly surprised when Abla agreed so readily. She didn't seem angry or offened by her bluntless. The lioness gave the goddess a smile. Slowly she reached her nose forward. The feathers touched her nose and made her whiskers twitch. She blinked and brushed her face against the wing. Her nose touched lightly against the wing joint.
"Wow, you really do have wings." She took a step back and gave Abla a respectful bow. "Thank you for letting me touch you. Yes, I am blind. I had an accident during my first hunt. You were?" 'Riyya felt hope rise in her chest. Maybe she could get her blindness lifted too.
"How did you get over it?"

Abla smiled as she looked at the young lioness, she was glad to see that the lioness was able to calm down and be okay with what Abla was saying. She then chuckled at the lioness's question and she then nodded and chuckled some more she couldn't help it. "Yes I do!" She then smiled and nodded at the lioness, she knew that the lioness couldn't seeit but she was in such a habit of it whens he was blind, it used to be how she would answer others. "No problem I understand what it's like." She then paused and though remembering the days when she was "I used to be at one point."
She then thought about it and shrugged. "It just kind of happened one day. I woke up and was startled, I didn't know what I was seeing, I was confused not knowing what was going on. I was confused and didn't know what was going on with the things and really scared at first." She then paused and thought about it for a moment. "I actually really enjoyed more, not being able to see that is. Then again that was because I've grew up all my life not knowing what it was like to not see."

She felt honored to actually have touched a real goddess. Even if she couldn't see her. 'Riyya felt her hopes plumpet suddenly to her toes. The luck of a goddess wasn't for her. She wouldn't just wake up some day and not be blind again.
"How long were you blind? I'm not sure anymore. It could be some days or weeks. I'm glad you were relieved of your blindness." She smiled. "You seem to have overcome your confusion well." 'Riyya couldn't imagine not being able to see. Almost all her life she'd seen stuff. Now she could understand why Abla was confused. She felt so lost without her sight.

Alba looked at the lioness and considered the question before speaking. "Oh, I was since I was born." She said simple, she was an older goddess now, she had some where out there very long generations of family out there that probably don't even know who she was at this point. So her sight was pretty new to this older lioness. "I was blind... Well for a really long time, a little too long I guess you could say." She laughed some then flicked her tail behind her.
She then paused and chuckled some, "I mean at first I was very confused but I knew life just does those kind of things to us." She wiggled her toes in the ground then laughed some and pawed toward the lioness. "It was very difficult but I always remind myself to get through things." She smiled and then nodded it was very true she knew that for sure. "I'm going to admit that, well... It's hard to be blind. But you can change and adapt and get through with it." She smiled brightly at her and then chuckled some, then smiled brightly to her. "I'm pretty sure you can do it."

"Ah I see." 'Riyya said softly. What more could she say? She was sorry the goddess had been born blind? It sounded more like she had enjoyed it. That sight was a strange thing. The lioness wondered if ever she might feel that way too. Only time would tell.
"Yes it does. Life would be boring otherwise wouldn't it?" Life was more exciting, but it also made it a real drag in Shukriyya's mind. Her ears perked up as the goddess kept talking. Change? Adapt? The red lioness felt a strange feeling in her chest. She..... could do that?
"I....... I don't know what to say. Thank you." She ducked her head shyly.

Abla looked at the other, a smile grew on her face. She knew that she would be happy to learn that some one else was blind when she was blind, right now she was hoping that the other had some hope in seeing once again. Abla didn't know if the other lioness would ever get her sight back but she was still hoping that the lioness felt there was some hope. She chuckled once again and then nodded in agreement to the lioness. "Yes, very." She turned away, preparing to walk away before she spoke.
"Good luck in life, young lioness. I'm never that far if you need help." She chuckled osme before spreading her wings. Within a few flaps the lioness was gone. But she was hoping that the other would remember her.
