Danaë found herself with a little free time during the weekend, and so she decided to explore a little. Since she'd arrived, classes and homework had taken up most of her time. That wasn't a problem for her, it just meant she hadn't had a chance to properly orient herself with her new surroundings.

The first floor seemed an appropriate place to begin her exploration. She found herself starting at the Tapestry Corridor, but the faces there watching her and looking on her disapprovingly was...well, a little creepy. Shaking off the uneasiness the hallway gave her, she walked past the classrooms, since she'd already seen the inside of those. Next on her journey came the hospital wing.

"Oh! Well, this would be a good place to know," she said to no one in particular, and stepped inside, the desk unoccupied; Madame Pomfrey must either be attending her patients or next door in her office. Letting her curiousity steer her, Danaë stepped into the room, looking on the several empty beds, until she came to one that held someone. "Oh! Excuse me, I didn't mean to bother you," she said with a smile.

That's one giant rainbow... Quillan observed as he gazed up into the sky. Someone had to have used some sort of enlargement charm or something, because just the red section took up half th sky--no wait, was it a rainbow? Excitement flooded his body. THE SKY WAS RAINBOW. How magestic, wonderful, brilliant--was it edible!? Immediately, he began to skip through the field of rainbow flowers, his mouth wide open, welcoming the rainbow. "This is the best day--"

What?

Quillan blinked a few times, his head shooting left to right and then back again. Where was he--where were the rainbows!? Milliseconds later, Quillan heaved a disappointed sigh and propped himself up. The women who had laid him down on the bed was no longer in the room, as his eyes first checked the desk she was previously sitting at. Frowning, he scanned the room and to his surprise, came upon someone. There was a blonde Ravenclaw girl in front of him. Nnnuuhhhh?

Slowly, he brought the back of his hand to his mouth. Of course, there was the drool. It was naive of him to think he could taste rainbows anyway... but the realization was still disappointing. "You hurt?" He inquired of the blonde, jumping up from the hospital bed. His shoes clacked against the cold flooring and once again as he turned to make the bed he had been sleeping in. Is class done yet? He pondered, glancing back at the blonde girl again, trying to locate the injury on her body.

Cheerfully, Danaë shook her head. "No~ No injuries here. Only curiosity and a chance to explore," she answered the Slytherin. "What brought you here?" she asked a little idly, having seen no sign of serious injury. Maybe he was faking it. Would be like a Slytherin, she supposed.

She tilted her head to the side a little, thinking his hair was an awfully bright orange, but then she'd never really seen someone with red hair up close.

Quill's eyes narrowed at the girl before breaking out in a smile. Of course she was suspicious of him--he looked just as healthy as she did. "Well, in fact, I got attacked Goblin. You should have seen that thing's club! Quill exclaimed, an excited look on his face. "The Nurse''s been fixin' me up all week, I swear it!" Now, this was an outright lie. However, Quill didn't ever consider himself lying when it came to a joke... It was now up to whether the Ravenclaw girl believed him or not--which she had to be mighty naive to do. In fact, Quill was even tempted to throw in an Irish accent for the kicks of it, however, it was already too late for that sort of trick.

With that said, he watched the girl carefully, taking in her expression with a grin on his face. "Didn't you hear about it?" Quill inquired, a frown now on his face. "Honestly, what do you Ravenclaws do, live under a rock?" Quillan felt he was taking the joke a bit too far, but that didn't stop him there. Curiosity overtake him--how long could he possibly keep this girl going? Was she even remotely believing him, for that matter?

"I would've thought EVERYONE heard about me by now!" Quill began to pace, "Y'know, the 'ol first year Slytherin who slayed the G-g-g-hahahaha!" He wasn't sure if it was her face or just him, but he was laughing his little booty off now. Just the mere idea of him, a shrimp of a Slytherin, killing a Goblin was ridiculous! The moment he said the word 'slayed', he knew he was done for. It was so preposterous, Quill couldn't even imagine it with a straight face. "Sorry, sorry! I couldn't resist..."

Danaë blinked when his eyes narrowed on her, then she frowned a little at his wide smile. She hadn't said anything particularly funny, had she? "Attacked by a goblin?" she murmured, eyes a little wide though she didn't really believe him. "I suppose the professors wanted to keep such a thing under wraps. Truly, you're lucky be alive," she said and smirked a little, wondering if he really thought he could trick her with this. He might be a Slytherin, but he didn't seem as mean or nasty as she'd heard they could be.

He can't possibly keep this up for much longer, she thought and nodded a bit to herself when he broke into giggles. Just as she suspected. "You don't really think I believed you, did you? I'm not quite that dense," she retorted, arms crossing over her chest. She rolled her golden eyes a little as he told her he couldn't resist. "Mm, I'm sure. So if not for 'slaying a goblin'," she said, making quotes in the air with her fingers, "What are you in here for? Skipping?"

"Why I'm here, you inquire?" Quillan smirked at her, his voice unsteady from all remainder of the giggles. "Well, you see, my fine lady... I've been entrusted a mission..." He drew in closer to the Ravenclaw girl, as if about to share a secret. His voice lowered several notches till a wispy sound came out of his voice. "I've been sent to..." He looked around wearily, as if looking to see if anyone was watching, "test sleeping potions..." Quillan retracted his head from her shoulder and stood at his full height, sticking out his chest in pride. "Y'know? A bit of that purple stuff over there and some Muggle History and you got the stuff! It works best with History, if I do say so myself." Quillan grinned at her and at the same time, deciding that he was done with all the jokes.

"By the way, why would you be possessed to explore the infirmary? It's not that interesting--the nurse keeps all the potions under lock. Alohomora doesn't even do the trick... not that I've tried, of course." He winked at her, hoping that she wouldn't think of what he said as anything more than a joke. However, Quill did indeed try the spell on the lock and nothing happened... so either it was more full proof than that or his wand was a dud. Whether or not he sensed she suspected him, Quillan went on, "Y'see, the towers are much more interesting..." He grinned at the memories.

"WHOA. What do you suppose that is!?" Quillan suddenly pointed at the potion container standing ominously on the counter. "Wonder what could be in that little baby..." He spoke, more of to himself, and his feet immediately took him closer to the potion. Quillan reached out, completely forgetting that Danaë was still in the room.

((Sorry for the shortness, I have to go to bed!))

Danaë giggled a little. This Slytherin was rather amusing. She had to admit, History could be quite boring. "Why would you be testing sleeping potions?" she asked a bit conspiratorially.

"Why the infirmary? Why not?" she asked. "The towers seem a bit spooky to me, but I suppose they might be interesting if I wasn't the only one exploring them." She raised an eyebrow when he told her he hadn't tried Alohomora on the potions cabinet. From what she'd already seen of him, he definitely seemed the type to do exactly that. "Mmhmm..."

She blinked when he exclaimed and pointed to the potion on the counter. "Hey!" She pulled him back from the potion. "You probably should leave that alone! You don't know what's in there, it could be anything!"
