surprised I bet you can make poison potions that you can assassinate people with!
Or make poison tipped arrows? But i guess they already have thoes. How are the traps going to work? Are you going to be able to make your own traps?

Are you going to be able to make your own traps? That would be so awesome if you could. I would put traps all over the towns. Or around my house!

Poisoning food sounds more fun that just sneaking up and stabbing them.

FireBrandt oh the humanity! wil somebody please think of the NPCs! other than that it sounds awesome, except that you might end up killing someone important. The most important they can be is being part of the main quest, and word is they'll just get back up again after dieing, so no worries there.

Poisoned apples do exist and you do have one quest in the DB where you replace one ill mans medicine with poison so that he dies and that it doesn't look like someone actually murdered him and that he died of his illness which was pretty severe ge couldn't leave his bed and his eyes remain closed 24/7 and the only thing keeping him alive was the strong medicine

Igloo14 I was reading one of the interviews about Oblivion and I read that the makers of Oblivion made posion apples. They said you can get it from the assassin guild. They also said you can go in a Tavern and slip one of the apples in someoneÂ’s food and they would eat it and die. Thats so crazy! You could kill so many people that way. Not just one Tavern but pretty much where anyone is eating! Yes I do that it's quite entertaining. I use the duplication trick to get alot apples

Wow, I remember this thread, this is really old....
I should save in my file and just go up and stab someone in the back.... I think I will now....
(And then load it of course....)

OK HERE IS THE DEAL WHen you find a character who is crucially important to the game the crossheir(aimer thingy) will turn into a crown, this means that if you kill that specific NPC he/she will only go unconcious (it will say so on the top right or left side of the screen) after that they will eventually get back up on thier feet with low health but they will be in fact alive. So if you want a very important character dead just go through the event line where they take part. Once you have done everything with that person that needs to be done then you MIGHT be able to kill them (example: Jauffre is a character that isn't able to die until the battle of the Great Gate because after that battle he is no longer needed in the storyline)

You do realize that this thread was created before the game even came out, right? This was all just kind of guessing and making assumptions off of what Bethesda had released.
