Parvaneh sighed. There was a beautiful field of flowers blooming near the dens. Although, she could smell them they were beyond the area where she was allowed to go. Unless someone went with her, all she would be able to do is smell them. Spring was her favorite. There were plenty of rains and life blossomed. She loved watching the birds with their chicks and the bugs buzzing around. The fresh smell of growing plants tickled her nose. A giggle escaped the sweet tempered juvenile.

Ly was out exploring more of the Prides lands, she had mostly come to terms with having to stay here forever and decided to try and make the best of it. Really what else could she do? The thought of doing anything more was as foreign as the thought that she might be able to fly - as in impossible and pointless.
In any case she was attempting to make herself be happy about the entire situation and had decided that learning more about the prides lands would be a good start, she was passing by some dens with the intention of looking at a flower field she'd heard about when a soft giggle caught her attention and pausing she swept her gaze over the area in search of the source. A young lioness, black with pretty tan colored swirls caught her eye and she gave the girl a soft smile. She was about to go on when she paused - might as well introduce yourself she thought, making friends would be a good way to make this feel like a good thing and turning about she changed course so that she might speak with the young girl.
"Hello" She greeted the girl and still feeling a bit awkward saying it properly went about introducing herself "I'm Banu Lycaena"

Parvaneh grinned and wiggled her tail when the adult came over to her. She was pleased to have company without bothering anyone. "Hi! A pleasure to meet you Banu Lycaena. I'm Banu Parvaneh. It's a lovely day isn't it?"
"Are you currently busy with anything?" The juv gave the other a hopeful look. She hoped the banu wasn't busy. If she could get the lioness to agree, she'd have someone to go with her. It could be a lot of fun having another there.

Ly glanced about as the youth spoke, she was right - it really was a wonderful looking day and perhaps if he hadn't been sulking throughout most of her walk about she might have noticed sooner. "It is quite nice out" she agreed with a small smile before turning to look back at Parvaneh.
The young lioness had a hopeful look on her face that Ly had seen before on youth - she expected that if she told her that she wasn't doing anything Pavaneh would seize the opportunity to ask something of her...but really she supposed that wasn't an entirely bad thing, she really didn't have anything else to do other then continue walking and sulking.
Ly had never particularly liked sulking and perhaps a bit of time with what looked to be a sweet young lioness would be just the sort of pick me up she needed. "I don't have anything pressing that needs to be done at the moment" She answered with a smile.

"I really think spring is my favorite. You get to see all the plants come back to life. The birds come back and have babies. Watching them grow is a lot of fun too." She said happily. It really was a good time to enjoy everything.
Parvaneh grinned widely at the lioness. "If you don't mind, could you accompany me to that field of flowers we can smell? I was told not to go beyond a certain point without adult company. You look like you could use some cheering up too. The flowers are very pretty there."
She loved the calm on that field. The way the flowers swayed in the breeze and the bees hummed as they went from flower to flower. Her biggest chore was picking which flowers were the best; she liked to gather bunches and take them back to the den.

Ly gave the girl a warm look "It was always my favorite too" She confessed "Though later on when the butterflies show up is nice as well"She told her with a slight wink. With a butterfly mask on her face she could hardly be blamed for enjoying the antics of the real bugs now could she? And as she expected Parvaneh did indeed have something to ask of her - though she gave a little laugh when she heard what it was. "Your right - I suppose i could and I have heard of this meadow of flowers, I'd love to see it" She told Paravaneh - no point in mentioning that she had been heading there to begin with, the youth would probably enjoy it more if she thought she were leading the way for Ly.
"Will you take me there then/" She asked, surely the girl knew the way if she wanted to go this badly and Ly didn't see the harm in taking her - she doubted anyone would mind really. Or at least she hoped so, if they did well..she was new enough she could always still claim ignorance she supposed.

Parvaneh gave a happy purr. She loved having company.
"Oh yes. The butterflies are so fun to watch. They flutter in any direction, seeming with no where to go." Of course, Ly would undoubtedly know this. Parvaneh had wondered why they couldn't fly in a straight line like the birds did.
"Oh thank you! Thank you!" She bounced to her feet eagerly. Flower meadow here we come! Parvaneh grinned wide. It was so nice of this Banu to accompany her. If she could, the juv would find some way to return the favor.
The dark girl started walking toward the meadow. Now that she had someone with her, she could go. As she walked she chattered. "We can count how many different flowers we can find, or run through the grasses. After that then there's flower weaving. Where we find the best and prettiest flowers and weave them into our hair. Provided they don't get sat on." She giggled.

"They do have somewhat of an odd way of flitting about" Ly agreed with a slight smile - it was hard to remain depressed in the company of such a seemingly happy young lioness,as with mot emotions happiness seemed to be one of those infectious ones and Ly decided that she would - if she could - set aside her current problems for the moment and try to have a nice time with the youth. It wasn't like she could really do anything about the way things had turned out anyways right?
"Your welcome" She told her before falling into step beside her. Ly padded along and listened to her ramble on about all the activities they could do in this flower meadow - many of them sounded much like the game she had played by herself as a cub. That wasn't surprising she guessed - she supposed that cubs had the same sort of games no matter where they were raised. "we shall have to make an effort not to sit on the nicest one then won't we?" She quipped with a laugh as they walked along.

Parvaneh glanced up at the older lioness. "Why is that do you think? Birds fly straight." She tilted her head. Listening to the other lionesses speak of hunting, she had heard that zebra and antelope didn't run in straight lines. Was there a connection here, or was her imagination getting the better of her?
The juv bubbled. It was a great day! Shining sun and new friend were the best. She laughed at Ly's comment. "Oh I try so hard. But when I'm running around really fast its so hard to keep track of the best flowers. I've tried putting the flowers in my hair first." She ducked her head, "they fall out cause I run so fast."
It really was quite amusing. A black flash dashing across the meadow. Behind her a trail of flying flowers as they worked themselves loose.

Ly paused for a moment while she considered the girls question - it was a fairly good one and she tried to come up with an answer that made some sense. "Well I don't know for sure" She started as she got moving again "But perhaps it has something to do with their wings? They are quite different then birds wings" She finally remarked. It made a little bit of sense she supposed - surely different type of wings worked in different manners right?
Of course Parvaneh was already off and talking about something else that drew Ly's attention away from the problem of butterfly flight patterns "Well...maybe we could pick the nice flowers first and then set them somewhere safe before we run about..and then go back to put them in out hair" She suggested in a pleased tone "I'm sure they will last long enough for that and not wilt"

Parvaneh had forgotten the question of butterflies and flying. She was looking forward to reaching the meadow now. It was always fun to stretch her legs and run as fast as she could without worrying about running into anybody.
"I suppose. How will I know not to run there? If they all get put in one spot they could be trampled all together." She tilted her head up at Ly as she bounded along. "Wilt? What is wilt?" Adults used such strange words sometimes. "Ooooh! Look there it is!" She could barely control herself not to go racing ahead without Ly. That would be rude after all.

"Well..I suppose we will have to pick a spot that will be easy to remember..like beside a tree or a rock or some other landmark" She suggested - surely there had to be something in the flower meadow that would work for such a thing and be easy for the young lion to remember. Though it didn't appear that Parvaneh was particularly bothered by this problem any longer - as was typical of youths her mind had already moved on to other things.
"Wilt is what happens to flowers after you pick them, after a while the petals fade and turn brown" She explained as she looked ahead towards the flower meadow. Poor Parvaneh was practically dancing with eagerness to get there and Ly gave her a sly look "Race you there!" She challenged the young lion before racing off - though she made sure to keep to a pace that Parvaneh would be able to keep up with.

"Hmmmmm, a rock maybe." She really wasn't too concerned with it. Parvaneh couldn't remember seeing a convenient rock, but that didn't mean there wasn't one there. Surely Ly could come up with something that would work.
"Ooooooh! Is that what its called. Its sad they wilt after so short a time." The juv wondered if there was a way to keep it from wilting for longer. It would be nice.
Parvaneh gave the lioness a huge grin as she stated her challenge. She dashed off in a spurt of youthful exuberance with her tail flying behind her. It was great to run with someone. A laugh escaped as she trailed the older lioness.

Ly glanced back over her shoulder as she ran, Parvaneh was just behind her and as they drew closer to the meadow the white Lioness slackened her pace ever so slightly so that the youth could pull ahead to 'win' this impromptu race. It would likely make the girl happy and Ly had always liked to see the youth around her happy.
The meadow was every bit as pretty as she had expected and Ly drew in a deep fragrant breath as they reached it "It's beautiful" She exclaimed with a glance towards her companion "What do you want to do first?"

Parvaneh sensed the lioness slowing down a little. In a surprising move just as they reached the meadow, she turned and pounced on Ly. "I got ya!" she sing-songed. Her front paws wrapped around her body as her back ones skipped along the ground.
Dropping off the lioness the juv skipped around. She kicked up petals and flowers with her paws. Parvaneh blew at them and tried to catch them on her nose. "I donno. Lets go make stuff with the flowers. We'll have to find some good ones first though."
