Name: Maria Kaiysa Age: 17 Personality: Find out Bio: Maria's parents abandoned her when she was five, and so she was taken to the orphanage. Diaignoised with NIDS, or Neuro-Immune Dysfunction Syndromes, she wasn't adopted and considered "retarted." A loving single mother eventually took her home, and immediately her son, three years Maria's senior, became attached to her. Years later, she doesn't know just how much he cares. Other: She has a lovely voice; has a female cat named Napoleon, whom she also calls Nappy. Yes, a female cat named Napoleon. Image:

Name: Justin Fletcher Age: 20 Personality: kind, funny, smart, clever, loyal Bio: When Justin was eight, his mother adopted a girl named Maria. The girl had some kind of disability that he didn't really understand, but he didn't care, since he'd taken a liking to her instantly. Sure, she's supposed to be his sister now, but he feels a lot more for Maria. Other: he's a massive video game nerd, and has a pet hawk named Artemisa. Not sure if a pet hawk is the best idea, though. Image: 3nodding

(okayz!)
Justin stood by the oak tree in his backyard, watching his pet hawk Artemisa gliding overhead. He smiled, admiring the majesty of his feathered friend. He kinda wished he could soar alongside Artemisa. He then sat down, leaning against the tree.

~~ Napoleon was resting on the windowsill inside, tail flicking, watching Atermis fly, ears alert, eyes hungry. Maria walked out back. "Justin....Where are you?" She asked, glancing around. Seeing him under the tree, she smiled slightly and went over, sitting next to him, on her knees. "What are you doing?" ~~

Justin looked to Maria, with a smile, while Artemisa circled around the tree. "Just taking some time to relax while Artemisa gets some exercise." He told her.

~~ She smiled. "Artemisa is so pretty," said the young teenager, looking up at the hawk. "And graceful....Justin, is it odd..that sometimes I wish I were a bird? Flying just looks so fun." ~~

Justin chuckled a bit, smiling at his adoptive sister. "You and me both, Maria. I wish I could do that, but I'd probably hit a tree or something." He said. Artemisa then descended, landing gently on Justin's shoulder, rubbing her head against him.

~~ "I probably would, too." Maria smiled. "But at least...I could fly away from people who are mean to me." Then she frowned, looking at the ground, picking grass out, a single blade at a time. ~~

Justin smiled, putting a hand on Maria's shoulder. "You don't need to fly away. I'll always be there to help you." He said. He didn't understand why people picked on Maria like she was a freak. Sure, she was different, but she was a great person.

Justin's smile never faded. He has glad that he had Maria around. However, his feelings for her were a bit awkward. Sure, they weren't technically related, but she was still his little sister, in a sense. What would others think? What would SHE think? He then ignored these thoughts. "No problem." He told her.

~~ Maria, meanwhile, was not even aware she was adopted. No one told her, and she did not remember much of when before she was seven. She smiled, showing straight white teeth. Her hair sparkled in the sunlight as the girl looked up at the clouds. "Doesn't that cloud look like a flower?" Although Maria was seventeen, she had the curiousity and innocence of a four-year-old. ~~

Justin smiled and nodded. "Yeah, it does." He agreed. He knew that Maria was clueless about being adopted, but he didn't want to tell her, yet. He didn't want to hurt the innocent girl by telling her that he wasn't really her brother. He'd tell her when she was ready.
