Adults scared her. No, strangers scared her, the little cub decided as she jumped behind a bush to hide. Her green and white striped bottom wasn't quite hidden, but she didn't realize it. She was too busy trying to see through the leaves of the bush. The adult female she had been following was right ahead of her!

It was a very pretty lioness, Raziya thought. And she seemed interested in leaves, which was kind of like her and bushes, right? So she wanted to speak to her, but--but adults scared her!

Her tail twitched with her thoughts, quite demonstrative in its motions. It flicked and curled, then straightened, only to curl again. Clearly the not very well hidden cub had important things on her mind!

Laramie was the kind of lion who got really into whatever they were doing. Her brows were furrowed deeply, her lips pressed into a thin line and she was staring at the stem of the leaves so intently it looked as though she was trying to burn a hole through them off of just thoughts alone. Her expression was one of concern as she tried to decipher the meaning of the fortune it told her.

She clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth as she shook her head tearing her gaze away trying to sort her thoughts. It was then that she spotted the little lioness's bottom sticking high in the air.

"What are you doing?"

"Yeep!" the little cub said, still hiding. "There--there's nobody here! Just us bushes!" she tried out, her tail flicking erratically as she tried to figure out how she had been found. "Nooobody here," she called out again in her sweet little girl cub voice.

Slowly, though, she moved forward, peeking around the bush at the lioness. "See? I'm a bush," she whispered before backing up again, her tail showing on the other side again.

Laramie chuckled as the little cub tried to convince her that she was not there, that it was simply the bushes. "I can see your tail you know, bushes don't have tails silly," she stated shaking her head, trying to hide the smile that was spreading across her lips. "Besides, bushes shouldn't talk to those whom they are not muses to," she stated, her tone almost scolding.

In truth she knew not of how muses worked besides her own. Hers told her tales of the future through their stems and occasionally they would whisper to her words of encouragement. In fact, it was her leaves, her muse that had led her to the Kizingo'zaa in the first place.

She had complete faith in the stories of her muse, even if she didn't not always like what they told her.

"They don't?" Raziya asked, so interested that she peeked out from the bush. "So I'm the only one that the bushes talk to? Or maybe there's someone else who's lucky enough to hear them! Oh, I want to meet that person!" she said, coming out from behind the bush entirely. "What's your--um--muse?" she asked.

She hadn't really gotten used to the concept of muses, even though she chatted with hers all the time.
