http://abcnews.go.com/International/story?id=1300344I just think it's funny that they're being called pirates; since when does a pirate carry rocket launchers and a semi-automatic weapon? And there were even a couple of them wearing G-Unit shirts on the news this morning (pirate-chic?)

Meh, I think they qualify as pirates. According to dictionary.com a pirate is "one who robs at sea or plunders the land from the sea without commission from a sovereign nation." According to my eighty year old Webster's Dictionary a pirate is "a robber of ships on the high seas." Curiously enough my dictionary also includes a definition for copyright infringement.

Your a lucky one, I got the Complete & Unabridged, The Little & Ives, Webster Dictionary and Home Reference Library from 1962. It happens to be as large as most peoples heads. I agree with ya, by defintion they are pirates, though some did work for nations. I don't see whats odd about the copyright infringement.

It just hadn't become a widely important issue till after the book was published, and that it was the second of eight definitions listed.
