Dragging giant rocks around to help construct shrines was exhausting, and having a little pack of cubs trailing after him, anxious to learn how to shift for themselves, did not make it easier. Neither did the lions that had begun to trickle into their lands, desiring to worship at shrines or have smaller ones established, more often then not getting in the way of construction.
A large party had arrived a few days ago, anxious to be shown around. Putting up the new shrines ground to a halt; there was just too much chance of one of the visitors getting in the way and getting hurt. It left Ishekhesi with nothing to do; he worked on some songs, then hid them away in his den; he relaxed in the sun, talked to a few of his friends, and still found himself with too much time on his hands.
He decided to take a walk around the pride lands, just to keep busy. He hadn't been expecting to meet another lion out there.

Avalon wasn't feeling at all bored at the moment, she was too busy sight seeing, she had heard of a place that shrines were being resurrected to honor different gods, her curiously had gotten the better of her and stumbling into the pride's lands she looked on with interest. She'd never met a real God before, and that seemed like it would also be just wonderful. The lioness did not want to be a bother to anyone, and hoped sincerely that she was not intruding by strolling through. Even if the cream colored lioness had stumbled into the pride's lands she'd heard rumors that they were a welcoming sort and that pleased her, she thought it was just fitting for a group of animals to be pleasant and happy to welcome others -- especially if they were making shrines!
As she continued on her stroll, the lioness realized she was walk toward someone, a green and white colored lion. Hoping that she looked her nicest, it was quite rude to intrude on someone, especially when not looking your best she continued toward him. Avalon did not want to interrupt if he was doing something important, but he appeared to be just walking as she was.

"Hello," Ishekhesi said softly as he drew near to the lioness; of course, he said everything softly. A fight had left him with an injured throat; luckily, aside from taking care of the cubs that followed him around, there wasn't much call to be loud as a shifter. All he really had to do was to be strong.
"Have you come to see the shrines, or are you just passing through?"

"Hello," she greeted enthusiastically, "Ooh, I would think it is a little of both." She nodded her entire demeanor said she was not a threat and was friendly. Avalon stepped closer to him. Her mother had raised her to be a good lioness, to be compassionate, and to always show good manners - the problem was that everyone's views on the subject were quite different; particularly in different prides. In one pride asking for a name could be seen as disrespectful, in another not introducing yourself first.
"My name is Avalon," she offered, "I heard a rumor that there were shrines here, and had to come see them with my own two eyes."
"I do hope that I am not bothering you," Avalon was neither quiet nor loud, her voice sat right in the middle.

"Oh, no, I was just taking a walk. My name is Ishekhesi. Normally it is the guides' job to greet pilgrims, but they are all busy, so let me welcome you to the Shrinekeeper lands. I could start to show you around, if you do not want to wait for a proper guide."
Ishekhesi tended to have little contact with lions outside the pride, his job keeping him firmly inside the prides boundaries. It was nice to see someone new, and maybe show off what he had helped to build.
"Some of the new shrines are very fine indeed. The carvers are out doing themselves. I expect soon even those who do not follow the gods may want to come just to see the splendor of the shrines."
