It had become harder to keep her silence. Saengdao had little chance to vent her frustrations now that the eye was under constant surveillance by the Ligi. There was little she could do but maintain her composure and retreat into the forest when it became to much. It was easy to become overwhelmed when she felt incapable of doing her duties. In truth she felt more like a decoration than the Zahama, with so little to do but pander to those that did make their way to see her. She held so little sway. These were dangerous thoughts, she knew, but they kept building. There had to be some way to get them out before they endangered Nandi or herself. Feeling her veins on fire she had positioned herself on the border, the moonlight that managed to make it through the trees playing a radiant little game across her back. They would leave her alone to think.

The Ashnai'le was a pride Neltharion had been aware of even before his brief departure from the mortal world. Ancient conflicts and animosity between the two factions had been a source of delight for him. Like pawns on a chessboard, and he hadn't even had to play, just sit back and watch. Alas, things had become balanced for a while. So frustrating. Thankfully he found it in a state of near chaos upon his return. Fear, anguish...it was delicious.

He spied a bright female lurking in the brush. Even in the dark of night her fur stood out. He looked down at himself. His own was as black as night, but the open veins of molten hot loathing criss-crossing him glowed grossly. Hmm. She seemed unhappy. Might as well see if he couldn't make her miserable. Thudding loudly he stomped towards her. If she ran, he could catch her.

The sound caught Saengdao off guard, and by the time she looked up he was close. A shadow in the night, lit up with fire. She was hallucinating again. Her fur stood on end as she moved back slowly, her odd colored eyes tracing his features. Something very crooked about him. She was losing her mind, seeing apparitions like this in the night. "You won't get me Sahen," she snarled under her breath before she realized what was happening, "I won't be tricked." It was the most logical explanation should could come up with. The Ligi had come up with some horrible ploy to discredit her.

He slowed his walk towards her and laughed. "Sahen? I am no pitiful mortal warlord come to force you to do my bidding. Pitiful mortal, if your mind were half as bright as your coat you would think to open your eyes and see that it is a GOD that stands before you." He flared his wings and breathed smoke into the sky. "And I would say you have greater things to worry about than your pride catching you on the edge of the lands and looking about to bolt. Oh no no no, I would say that is the least of your worries if you continue to be so disgustingly disrespectful..."

She shied back, raising her paw to the feather about her neck. It was no reason to call him into this, he was not the sort to get involved. He'd like as not watch while she was torn apart. Deciding, she moved her paw back to the ground, watching him wide eyed. "Have you come to take me away?" she asked softly, her eyes seeming to gloss over as she tipped her head, "Disappearing into the night, they'd enjoy that." She could run, but with those wings she had no chance to make it. Instead she'd have to hold her position and hope she entertained him. "I've seen more gods in the past moon than any of my pride has seen in a lifetime," she laughed, shuddering as she watched the smoke disperse into the air.

"Take you away? Oh no...though perhaps...You see, I am rather fond of this pride. So full of loathing and spite. It is quite entertaining to watch, you understand? You mortals and your petty squabbles, thinking the whole world is crumbling when your own little dirt patch doesn't go how you like it...No, I am not here to take you away." He raised a brow at her claim. "Is that so? And what other gods have you seen lurking about? Tell me!" He ordered her.

"D- D," she stuttered, feeling terrified that speaking his name might summon him. He would be agitated surely. Just part of his name then, surely the gods knew each other enough to recognize. "Dath," she blurted, "my patron." Relieved when he did not suddenly appear she relaxed slightly. "And Faisal," she added, remembering the much calmer encounter. She wasn't sure why this new god sought the information, but she was not one to withhold when it concerned the safety of her people. He didn't seem like he would blink an eye at leveling their home, as much as he claimed to like it.

It took a moment for the god to summon to mind the image of the god called 'Dath'. Gods took new names when they were reborn, if they chose, so it could have been any of the gods...but he was self-sure, and therefor he had to be right. This was a fitting place for Chaos to show up. He had vague memories of being at least something like friendly to the other god, long long ago...A buzzing voice in his head made him snarl. But chaos was like the rest now. Strayed from the path Mkodi had set them on. Only he remained true.

"Tell me, mortal!" He barked, "Why do you wish to leave this pride? Is it not your duty to stay? Even though...ahh, I see." Subtle waves of loathing were rolling off her. "You hate him, don't you? Your 'king'. Hate...that is something I know a great, great deal about."

"I will not abandon my house," she said with a new found confidence, her face heating up at the thought. Whether she hated Sahen or not had little to do with it. Though the sight of him now often made her sick she would not have left for that reason, it was cowardly and it would only let him have his way. "If I do," she added, though the if was hardly audible, "it will require others that do, and too many fear him for what he has become." Perhaps he had always been that way though, she was not sure. During his mother's rule she had been too preoccupied with the way things were to notice much about the heir apparent. "I will not fear him," she said finally, her voice seething, "I will not fear a scared child."

He only half listened to her, honestly. Stupid female. He could tell she did not like her life here, did not like her king. "Fear? I spoke nothing about that. You hate him." He rolled his shoulders powerfully. "'Scared child' or no, you loathe him. Admit it," He hissed, slinking closer. The light from his body lit up her fur ominously. "Tell me why you hate him, mortal."

What restraint she normally held seemed to slip away the closer he got, until she could only feel the heat and the fury that came from a rush of memories of Sahen's reign. "His paranoia, his insecurity, for it he has left our pride to rot from the inside out," she hissed, her voice seething now as she seemed to detach from the moment. If someone were listening in, she knew she wouldn't make it back to the Eye before she was assassinated, but that didn't seem to matter to her anymore. "He has killed innocents and ruined families, all because he fears the power of the masses. He even fears me, though he knows he cannot remove me without an uprising," she continued, staring off into nowhere, "And an uprising he shall have soon enough." Her body was trembling, though no longer from fear. It was exhilarating to speak openly, to let her temper overwhelm her. Had Sahen been before her she might have taken her chance, consequences be damned. But he wasn't, only this god that stoked her hatred. She wasn't in her right might, she couldn't have been.

As she ranted and raved Neltharion's smile widened. Ahh yes. Mortals were so very amusing. He knew the effect he had on them, and he relished it. The flames licking through his veins were stoked and flared. "Yess...tell me how you despise him, all the wrongs he's done...the hatred that burns in your heart. Tell me everything, my sweet blossom of rage. I understand, better than even you can know..." He took a deep whuffing breath, eyes rolling with pleasure. Yes. Mortals were delicious. So easy to make hate, so easy to consume with their emotions. "Tell me, and I will help you strike against him in a way that he will not be able to retaliate. We can break him..." A lie, perhaps, but either way he'd get what he wanted.

"He has killed cubs in front of their mothers, torn families apart. I know he would not hesitate to kill my own daughter should she cross him," her breath had shortened and she could feel the feather that hung around her neck turning cold against her skin. This was true chaos, he could only appreciate it. She would do whatever she had to to make a future for her house. There had been a story, some time ago, that another would be born within the pride that would lead to his downfall. Perhaps that was why he despised new births so much. Either way, his actions were repugnant. "You can help me," she said stiffly, turning her blinded eyes to him, "Help me spawn the being that will be the end of his reign. The entire hatred of the pride will be released in that moment, you would gain much from it."
