Day 1: The Performance of Her Life - That same night, the two Priests waited in the field behind the peach farm, seated on a fence. The wind whistled, distant but peaceful. The young priest occasionally glanced to his aged companion, who was intently chewing bubblegum. He blew a large bubble, popped it, then another. The chewing, the blowing, the popping, and the whistling of the wind in the peach trees. Finally, when the moon began to sink into the ground, the young priest got to his feet and dusted off his cassock.
“I don’t think our demonic friend will appear tonight,” he said aloud. The old priest nodded in assent, blowing another large bubble. “He would only dare act with the moon as cover. He must have some reason for making no move.” The old priest popped the bubble, but twitched his nose when he realized it was stuck in his beard. “Let’s go. We must tend to the rest of our lambs.” The two priests retreated for the evening, the younger deep in thought, and the elder finger-deep in bubblegum.
Why hadn’t the Reaper acted? Only he knew. ----------------------------------------------------------------
The piano struck up a smooth-sounding tune, and she uncrossed her legs as she half-tumbled, half-floated to the floor. “So, this is love, hm-hm-hm-hm…” Heavensdark sang gracefully, twirling across the stage. “So this is love…” The nightclub was bustling that evening, as frightened townsfolk had gathered to relax with a performance by the local entertainment. “So this is what I’ve been longing for…” Her rose-colored dress shone in the red and blue lights, her eyes alight from the candlelight coming from each table.
This, she thought, was perhaps the greatest night of her life. She was in a new city, and she was the biggest star in it! They were standing at the back to try and get a look, to hear her voice.
The only problem was that the pianist seemed off. He hadn’t shown up for rehearsal, but he was doing well enough. His playing was decent, she supposed, but he seemed to be a bit too fast. She glanced at him, but couldn’t see his face in the bright lights. She motioned for him to slow down, but he seemed to only speed up.
“Hey, slow down,” she whispered during the musical break, still dancing for the audience. The audience had begun to murmur, they’d started to notice. “You’re starting to ruin my performance!”
“Shhh,” the pianist crooned under his breath, giving her a sly look. “Trust me. This’ll be the performance of your life!”
“You have to play the song right!” She replied quietly but angrily, leaning over the piano.
“This is perfect,” he replied with a dark grin. She heard a ticking as he played faster and faster, and realized- he was covering the sound.
“Quick!” She shouted, turning to the audience. “Get out of the building! The piano‘s going to explode!”
The audience laughed, confused at her screams. When had this become a comedy act?
“It’s more than that!” The pianist jumped up. “Let’s dance! It’s the performance of your life!” He grabbed her by the hand and threw her towards the piano. She landed against the strings, and her dress caught in the wires. The ticking got louder and faster, and the pianist jumped back on the bench and began to play his own, maddening tune. She screamed as she felt her dress get pulled into the piano’s hammers, scrambling to try and get out, but it was no use at all. He struck a high note, and the strings all broke at once. The piano collapsed in on her, crushing her between the keys and the metal panel and sending a splatter of blood across the first three rows. The audience screamed, but it wasn’t with applause.
Her first performance had become her last. ------------------------------------
“Hehehe,” Kozmo6 chuckled as he knelt by the brush pile. “Time for another pyre…”
“Halt, demon!” The young priest rushed at him. “You, the fire starter! You clearly have the know-how to collapse a piano like that!”
“Eh?” Kozmo6 looked up. “I’m just supposed to destroy waste and litter, and it’s easiest to burn it…”
“A likely story!” The young priest grabbed him by one hand. “Come, you! To the church for an exorcism!”
“No! Not the holy water! Not the holy water!” Kozmo6 shrieked as he was hauled away. The old priest followed behind, rubbing his freshly shaven chin in thought. Was Kozmo6 really the one they were looking for? ----------------------------
Oye, oye! The evening report is as follows!
The Reaper killed nobody! The Saboteur killed Heavensdark by piano! Kozmo6 was accused and jailed!
All roles must send their actions and requests by 10pm tomorrow night! All votes must be in by 11pm EST! And all’s well! Sorry for the lateness! I was visiting my boyfriend. We had ice cream. <3

Did you know the first ginger ale was created by the random number gods?
Yes, they always liked a special beverage to help them pull numbers out of nowhere.
To honour this fact, I, #7, KeJoRo, have decided to pray to them myself, giving the result of #11, beru.
