User Image ((Corey already exists so while you CAN crit him, he's already accepted and unlikely to change much. Mostly working on the knight info))

Name: Corey Boone

Nickname: None yet

Age: 25

Birthday: June 12th

Sign: Gemini

Gemstone: Pearl

Blood Type: AB

Fav. Food: Ramen noodles and grocery store free samples

Hated Food: Fancy preppings and over complicated dishes, he has simple tastes

School: Graduated from Meadowview YEARS ago

Job: Owns _____ arcade

Hobbies:
Running his arcade - A job can be a hobby if you absolutely adore it and Corey most definately loves his. The sounds, the smells, the people, the atmosphere, and just about everything about his job make him very happy so he is there A LOT. People would call him a workaholic.. well.. if it looked like he was ever actually working while at work....

Laser tag - Blaring techno, blinding strobes, fog, and blinking enemy to the right!!! Nothing gets Corey's blood pumping more than a good game of laser tag. When he was in highschool he used to enter tournaments for fun and money but now he just loves it for love of the game. He's a darn good shot and if you're playing in his particular maze he's near unbeatable.

Chit chatting - Being so gregarious Corey just LOVES to talk. To pretty much anyone, pretty much anywhere. He'll strike up conversations in lines with strangers or chat a friend's ear off and he often has to be shushed in movies. He's a decent listener but he really seems to love his own voice.

Virtues:
Friendly - Corey is prodominately a smiley, jovial, and happy go lucky individual. He'll always offer a greeting and conversation to anyone that comes into his place or even to random people on the street. His contentment with life seems to mold his personality making him gregarious and pleasant, able to take even some of the surliest personalities with a grain of salt. His Facebook friends are well into the triple digits.

Young at heart - Like a child Corey is optimistic, friendly, hopeful, and full of energy. He lives life full of enthusiasm and gets along well with children and young adults. His view on life is fairly innocent and occasionally naive.

Handy - Corey has a knack for figuring out how things work, at least on a rudimentary level. He's a good problem solver and is very good with his hands. Out of curiousity and necessity he's learned to tinker with minor repairs around the arcade and home and he has some carpentry skills. He's certainly no genius in any of it, but he's handy in a lot of different situations.

Flaws:
Penny pincher - After almost seven years of working his a** off to save up enough to open his own arcade (with kickass indoor laser tag facility and mini golf course) Corey has become exceptionally tight with money. He's got bills to pay after all, rent and electricity bills for an arcade aren't cheap! Unfortunately he has a tendency to take it to an extreme. He tries his best to never pick up tabs, checks for change on the ground and in machines constantly, eats junky food and overwears clothing just to save a few bucks. If allowed he'll happily mooch a friend to death, but if he's spending his own money he's all about thrift. Don't even bother asking for refunds or donations.

Enabler - Corey worked long and hard to achieve what he wanted in life and believes everyone else should have the same contentment and joy of having their dream, not matter what that dream seems to be. Because he experienced the pain of people challenging his dream he detests the thought of ever being a buzzkill to anyone else. Want to ditch school so you can focus on becoming a hardcore gaming wizard? He'll turn a blind eye to the fact you're in his arcade during school hours and cheer you on! This leads to terrible advice giving and often makes him a horrible adult role model for impressionable and/or reckless youths. Responsible for others he is not.

What is personal space? - You mean you don't want him all up in your business...? ... Does not compute! The concept of a space bubble, both physically and emotionally escapes Corey. Nothing is too personal for him to talk about or ask about in his opinion, and he seems geniunely confused when people get uptight about him touching them, or peering over their shoulder from mere inches. Solitary people can get uncomfortable very easily in his presence, and even friends can sometimes feel invaded upon by his presence.

Knight Title: Bemini Page of Cosmos
Cosmos theme: Eternity, rebirth, stars

Challenge:
"Just a sip" or "Partake in the waters of life"

Uniform: Perhaps Greek and flowy, or south american/mayan, or maybe lightly conquistador themed
Basis - Sparkles and prisms

Top --
Bottoms --
Gloves --
Belt --
Shoes --
Shoulders --
Accessories -- Stars
Yuna pwned this s**t >3

Weapon
Page: A fair sized metallic bowl filled with water. He can spill water in an attempt to trip people or throw water in their faces to try and surprise them, but mostly it's just for clumsily hitting people with. Once the water has been spilled out completely it's gone unless a water source is handy (which shouldn't be very often).

Squire: Prettier bowl of water! A fair sized metallic bowl (with a litle more decor) filled with water. To channel his magic Corey must use his hand to splash some of the water out at the target. The target will receive a minor burst of energy or if they are injured a slight dulling of pain ((similar in strength to vicodin)). For the most part this can be used up to three times, depending on how much water has been spilled via other movement. The bowl can also be thrown or used as a shield in a last ditch effort.

Knight: Large water carrying jug. A large metallic water carrying jug held in one arm. To channel his magic Corey must pour some of the water out onto the target with the amount of water corresponding to the amount of 'rejuvenation' the target receives. The strongest effect (by using most of the vase's water) allows Corey to rejuvenate one target to how they felt before the battle began once per battle. Energy is entirely restored and the pain from injuries erased ((similar in strength to oxycontin)), but not actually the injury/wound itself. Because the wound is still there the target can wind up in some trouble if they overexert themselves without realizing it. Also once the water is gone, he can no longer use this magic anymore.

Primary Color: Prism!? (Or maybe soft blue or pink XD)
Secondary Color: White

Bimini - the fountain of youth
The Fountain of Youth is a legendary spring that reputedly restores the youth and vigor of anyone who drinks of its waters. Tales of such a fountain have been recounted across the world for thousands of years, appearing in writings by Herodotus, the Alexander romance, and the stories of Prester John. Stories of a similar waters were also evidently prominent among the indigenous peoples of the Caribbean during the Age of Exploration, who spoke of the restorative powers of the water in the mythical land of Bimini. The native stories about the curative spring were related to the mythical land of Bimini, a land of wealth and prosperity.

Cosmos and the fountain of youth
Rebirth, eternity, stars
I thought that the revigorating and rejuvenating properties of the fountain of youth blended in well with the themes of rebirth and eternity that are connected to the Cosmos. Stories of the fountain have come from many different countries and cultures and has been quested for again and again with little luck which I think mirrors well the grandness and intagibility that the Cosmos holds over any set stationary place. The flowing waters even mirror the color themes of prisms and sparkles.

Corey as a Knight
As a person AND a knight I forsee Corey starting out as a fairly self preservative individual. In the beginning becoming a knight would be to save his own a** (as opposed to saving others) and he'd lack any real drive to attack anyone or anything. To other characters he might be perceived as a little lazy, very selfish, not very driven, and not the best teammate in the beginning. Hopefully with time he'd grow better into the job and become a more selfless and helpful person.

And yes, yes he would cry over his crappy water bowl. Unless it proves to be as useful as a cast iron frying pan. ;D

Obviously still have a TON of work to do, but if anyone wants to comment on the weapon/buff, costume ideas, or anything really you're free to. I've saved all the posts I need.

Mm the only thing I really have to comment on is the Page's stage. Unfortunately at the Page stage they don't have magics Iris dear. That comes in as a Squire.

Ahhh, thank you LP! Somehow I missed that and got confused. I think because of the info about how most of the weapons were less for fighting and more for channeling magic. XD

Will go fix right now, thank you!!

Alright, weapon fixed, added a tiny bit more info into the paragraph sections.

To anyone wondering the outfit info isn't pending, I just don't really have much that I want/need for the outfit. It's free for the colorist to design and pretty up based on the very vague ideas I gave. XD

Aaaand if a GM could give me a definate yay or nay on if the knight power is too strong and should be a templar skill it'd be much appreciated. :3

I really like his weapon! I think it is very unique.

For his page-level attack, once he spills the water once, is that it? Or can he constantly have it refilled?

For his squire-level attack, I think you should add in something about how many times he can do this, or what the duration of his splash of healing/energy would be.

For his knight-level attack, I really enjoy that he is a healing knight actually. I think it would be cool if his power makes people FEEL like they did at the start of the fight, but physically... they aren't really. So after having his attack used on someone, maybe they experience a big crash? Maybe it is possible for people to seriously hurt themselves because they don't realize how badly injured they are in light of his spell and keep fighting when they should really just run away.

I think this could be a really cool thing to RP out. Like when people get dental work and have their cheeks numbed and then end up biting it and bleeding and never notice the damage they are doing. I don't necessarily think it has to drain him. To me, the weaknes of this power is the bad things that could happen to the person he uses it on! Like the two above, I think you should define how he can use this. Does his jug have a limited amount of water? Does it over fully rejuvenate someone if he pours it ALL out?

All in all, I like this concept a lot.

I am a little confused that he might try to help the Negaverse though, if that is what you mean when you say he would help ANY faction. Knights are aligned with the senshi. So him helping the Negas out doesn't make any sense to me -- why would he think that he should? Why wouldn't they just kill him? Dunno. This is a little odd to me.

Actually Akina knights aren't technically aligned with anyone in general, they're kinda neutral from what I understood when I was talking to Nessy about Mouse about this. They're good like the senshi but that doesn't mean they /just/ help the senshi. They could help whoever they believe is right at that moment. ^^ So if the person that is a knight isn't fully aware of what the Negaverse does they could be helping the Negaverse.

Private conversations are not shop-wide knowledge.

In light of the fact that knights were sent to support the planets of the senshi because of their alliance with them, I assumed, like I believe most others did, that they were senshi-aligned. They have been promoted as good-aligned characters, the converse to the pollution of the Negaverse. So to me, it follows that a Knight who serves Chaos is just a Nega. And a Nega who served Order would be a Knight. That is why Linarite purified into Lina when she stopped serving Chaos.

So I'm confused. Obviously, this should probably be stated in the Knight thread explicitly if it is the case.

I can definitely understand a Knight being confused and potentially trying to help the Negaverse in one rookie mistake. As a characteristic, I did not believe it was in their makeup. They do have auras and can sense auras. So since Negas have dark auras, the assumption is the opposite of them would have light auras. But if the Knights really are suddenly a neutral class, then perhaps none of this matters.

I asked Ness to clarify it for me and the shop in the Knight Info thread.

LP
So if the person that is a knight isn't fully aware of what the Negaverse does they could be helping the Negaverse.

I am correcting this here because 'neutral' seems to be taken the wrong way and I will be clarifying this in an expanded portion in our larger thread. 'Neutral' means that knights do not have to be bestest friends forever with senshi. They don't even have to like the senshi. Knights who are corrupt are Negas. If a knight were to start HELPING the Negaverse that would make them a Nega.

Knights do not support Chaos. They do not support the spread of Chaos. Helping a Negaverser is abandoning the duty a Knight was tasked with eons ago and makes them nothing more than anathema.

Neutral simply means that you do not have to have the driving need to kill and despise the Negaverse. You are given the task to stop them but it doesn't have to be violent and it doesn't have to be to the death. You CAN feel sorry for them, poor corrupt souls!

But you cannot work with them. If you want to work with the Negaverse, get a Negaverse character.

Lots of discussion! And much appreciated. :3

@ alignment -
When I originally wrote out his main info it was in the first days of the knights being released so there was alot of confusion. I started out by giving him magic at all the stages and I extended the neutrality thing how I thought it worked.

It's an easy enough fix that I will go ahead and change asap. I never really intended him to be like super evil nega warrior. I intended him more along the lines of "Geee.. I don't know how I really feel on this all or if I even like this" to contrast my two super gungho gals. And not the sort to really hate anyone off the bat. For instance if he saw some poor bleeding beaten up kid senshi or nega he'd be willing to heal them. But it's not some huge part of his personality so it's easily fixed.

All I want is basically for other characters he'd be perceived as a little lazy, very selfish, not very driven, and not the best teammate. And hopefully with time he'd grow better into the job.

@ Akina - Thank you :3

~ For Page once it's spilled out it's gone. Unless of course there is some sort of water source nearby (which I don't see occuring THAT often XD). I might actually make this the case for all the stages, that way as opposed to draining actual energy if he uses/spills all his water, he's SOL so attacking with the actual bowl/vase would be absolute last ditch efforts.

I REALLY like your idea! I was a little afraid that my powers might be a bit overpowered, but as long as Nessy/Mouse/staff says it's okay I'd love to go with that. It DOES offer a lot of potential and fun possibilities.

I will work on figuring out some limits and stuff and adding them in. Thanks Akina, LP, and Nessy for the help and clarification. heart

Definitely check out what I added to the knight thing? I hope it helps and I'm glad this was brought to my attention. I think you have a good grasp on the alignment from the post you just made Iris. Saving a Nega from a burning building isn't out of the realm of possibility for a knight, but they wouldn't look away if a Nega was throwing people INTO the burning building.

That's bad juju!
