So apparently I'm being bought out. MergerSo I wonder what this will mean for my current cell plan and everything. I sure hope I don't have to pay even more for service now.

True it might not, but it definitely bothers me that they got bought out. Even after I tried to upgrade and am dealing with them on a current phone.

Well if it's anything to go buy in the UK Orange and T-Mobile have almost merged, Orange users can use T-mobile signals and phones and vice versa

I forgot all about Virgin Mobile. I might look into that, but I want to find a good family plan though.

I just heard about this on the news last night while I was watching TV. Seems like AT&T is really trying to narrow down the competition: first they buy out Alltel and now they're buying out T-Mobile.

No T-mobile is still around until the deal goes through. Eventually though the t-mobile website will go down and then you will have to switch over to the At&t network or I think they might just do it automatically. I'm thinking of getting rid of my plan since I do not like At&t.

Or do you just not want to support at&t?I don't know if they will change, but I hope for the good they will because currently right now T-mobile has the cheaper alternative. Right now I have 750 mins for $59.99, but AT&T has 550 mins for $59.99, but AT&T has the rollover program. I do know that I don't like AT&T's service, so I will most likely wait until I get my phone situation figured out with T-Mobile and then cancel my account and move over to someone else.

Hmm. I'm just nervous it'll change, I don't have it but my dad has a prepaid service from them since he barely uses his phone. He has gold rewards and all that jazz. So I hope he keeps it.

So I hope he keeps it.I called them yesterday and the rep told me that nothing is happening for a year until they get everything all changed over. He did say those who have a plan already they will most likely be grandfathered into there plan and not be forced to go over to AT&T's stuff. For the pre-paid service I would assume it's the same, but I have no clue. So we will have to just wait and see.
