The crowd kept waiting and waiting, Matt kept pacing and pacing, and everyone continued waiting and waiting for Joey Desch to appear. After several minutes several officials came down to the ring and began discussing Desch's absence with the referee and the ring announcer. Matt, who had been scheduled to face Desch, walked over to a corner and leaned against it, looking out at the crowd. 'Way to putz out on me now Joey....' he thought irritated that Desch just disappeared. He sighed and ran a hand over his painted face as he looked to the side, watching the XCW officials chat amongst themselves. This had been his chance to show Robert Orman that he could take his little Orman bomb and still comeback kickin'! Clearly that plan had been shot in the butt by Desch deciding not to show up for their match. After a few minutes the men finally came to an agreement and the ring announcer brought the microphone up to speak.
"Ladies and Gentlemen the winner of this bout, due to no show, is The Suicidal DareDevil............Matt Draven!" the man spoke as Draven's theme began to blast after what he said. "Yeah, you guys too! GO!" he said to the officials after he turned around and walked to the center of the ring. The men looked at each other, then quickly scampered out of the ring before anything worse happened. Like say, Draven attacking them or something like that. The music faded out and Matt stood in the center of the ring with a scowl upon his face, the microphone at the ready.
"Well......that was a ******** waste or time." he said as he looked around at the crowd. It wasn't their fault, he knew and they knew. It just pissed him off that somebody would no show like that! Well nothing could be done about it now. He had been declared the winner and was left with nothing to show for it. Except for a W in the record books. That had to be worth something right? "So yeah since Desch bailed I guess the only thing left to do is talk about this little thing between me and Robby.". He said with a slight shrug as he started to walk about the ring. Wait........who was Robby? Did he mean Robert Orman? The big guy he attacked with a steel chair and colored him all nice and pretty with spray paint?
"You see, even before going into our first match, I felt like he felt he was better just because he was big and bad ya know? He kind of had that whole Bigger Bully thing going." he begin trying to explain why he attack Orman with the steel chair in the first place. Though the whole bully thing did sort of ring true to some. Other weren't buying it though, and that was kind of sad. "So when the bell rang I thought he wasn't moving because he thought he was such a bad a** and I wasn't able to hurt him. Guess what," he said before pausing to look up and stop "he was wrong."
"Now I know what some of you are probably thinking out there. You think that just because he was able to get up meant that I didn't injure him anyway. But you see, I did. I injured his pride! A smaller, lesser man took his down and out with three little chair shots." he explained as he started walking around the ring again. Scanning the sea of faces in the process. They were starting to register just what exactly he was trying to say. That he was underneath Robert's skin. That he was mind ******** Orman. That, by the look in his eyes, he wasn't done messing with the big bad southerner. 'Time to wrap this up.' he thought as the corner of his mouth slanted up into a smirk.
"Robert Orman what you did on Impact sent a message, but not the one you expected." he said as he shifted gears. Instead of talking directly to the crowd he instead addressed Orman himself. That cannot be good! "You thought you could put fear into a man that fears nothing. Instead you only revealed just how far into your head I'm ********. You allowed yourself to be controlled by the very fear that you tried to force into me. You seemed to think that slamming me through a table would make me second guess myself. Make me fear you and what you could do." he said after stopping and looking dead center into the camera. Some people would argue that what he was saying was false and that Orman was not trying to "out fear into him" by any means. As a matter of fact those people probably saw Orman as the victim and Draven as vile and viscous! "What you did manage to do was prove just how right everything that I have said really was. You felt desprate enough to go to your"Bread and Butter", your be all end all. And you know what? I'm still standing." he said with a wicked grin. "So Robert I just want you to know one thing. When our match comes around and you're standing across from me, I want you to realize that you're not having a match with a man. I want you to realize that you're standing across from an Angel, an Angel that is going to drag you into the darkest parts of your sanity. Robert Orman come Wrestlemainia I will be your guide that leads you to your true self. I will be your Suicidal Angel."
"I don't love how you love
but please don't leave me here alone
I don't feel how you feel
Well it's my fault I'm bones.
I don't die how you die
I can't just waste away
You keep changing your life
Everyday"
With that said, Matt let the microphone drop to the canvas. He then promptly turned and walked over to the ring ropes, where he then hopped over the top rope and onto the apron. He then dropped to the floor and began walking up the ramp as his theme blasted out throughout the arena. Halfway up the ramp he turned around and started walking backwards, his eyes locked onto the large banner high above the XCW crowd. He more or less accepted Orman's falls count anywhere challenge. The only thing really left to do was prove that he was able to back up what he had just spoken moments before. The camera faded out with a shot of Draven looking up at the banner, a wicked little grin still upon his face. What came after this segment wasn't for him to really know. Wether it be a match, another segment, or a commercial he knew not. What he knew was very, very simple. Him, Orman, Mainia.
