Well, if you already don't know, the U.S., France, and U.K. have begun attacking Libya.
So my question for you all is:
- Do you think the international community is acting too slow or isn't responding effectively to the Libyan uprising? Is it a failure?
- If Gaddafi does end up winning over the rebels, does that jeopardize the Arab/Middle East dream for democracy?
- What do you think of the situation in Libya? What do you think will happen?

It's not a war till Russia and China join in. ^_^
But seriously we shoulda kept our noses out of it. It's a civile war and not our problem or anyone elses. It only becomes our problem if they start attaking the people next door. And why are we helping the REBLES??? Ya know if they lose it's just gona screw everything up over there. We need to keep our noses out of the middle east.

Because the Rebels want freedom and democracy, which the U.S. and many European countries will support. One of the main reasons Europe is getting involved is because Libya is very important to their oil production. (And partly the U.S.) Either way, it'll affect all of us.

(Well the U.S and possibly other countries don't want this to be like what happened in Rwanda where no one seemed to do anything until it was too late, aside from what the U.S and other countries helping for the oil, etc. )

I don't know much about cerent history. But if its conserns about waiting too long, isnt that what happened here? The US or the UN waited till the side they wanted to win started to lose before doing anything. Not a very efective battle plan if you ask me.

I don't think contrys should interfer with other contrys politics. 'Cause if the rebles lose so does everyone that suports them. And what's wrong with being friends with them? It IS our problem. If they can't ship their pretty little millions of barrels of oil to us, gas prices for us back home go up. If gas prices go up, then the cosst of shipping food and goods around our country goes up. Which means the price of food go up. etc. And say, aren't we in a really bad recession?

All we did was shut down the ground to air missles in Lybia. At least, that's what the U.S. was doing.
The U.N. has asked several countries to assist in taking the leader of Lybia out. This includes the U.S. So yes it is our problem.

The US or the UN waited till the side they wanted to win started to lose before doing anything. Not a very efective battle plan if you ask me. (Well Gadhafi is not only hurting the rebels but his own people as well by cutting off their house power and gas to cook and he does not care if innocent people get hurt as he has clearly stated which relates back to Rwanda were there was a mass genocide there and no one helped until it was too late even though some nations knew what was happening due to having an unorganized country. Many countries are helping Lybia avoid another slaughter from the innocent aside of other political reasons.)

Have you driven anywhere latly? Gas prises are lredy throw the fu Everyone is so selfrightous. The only time I care about helping other contrys is when natural desasters strike and kill people like Haiti and now Japan. Other then that we should mind our own bisness unless they start atacing other contrys.
It ALL comes down to the oil dosn't it? Why not just whipe Lybia off the map and take the oil? Hell England colonized other lands, why can't we? Wouldn't it be fun to bring back the kings and queens of old?

I'm too dense with this stuffs, but I can't help my inner debating self to show. My only answer is that Gadhafi should step down from power because wealth would bring him to no good. If he dies, would he bring it to either heaven or hell? No. Though his family will be benefited, but wealth doesn't last long.
Anyway, I saw in Yahoo about Allied Force attacking Libya. inner fan girl showed and I squealed~

Hell England colonized other lands, why can't we? Wouldn't it be fun to bring back the kings and queens of old? The gas prices may be rising and Lybia is a source of oil. Though that's not the only cause for oil going up. But that's another issue. Gas prices have been goign up before the Lybia problem anyway.... The main issue is that the people of Lybia are rebeling against their own government. Their leader is a dictator and their government is family run. They don't want to step down from power so the people are going to make them. The other countries don't want this problem to spread so they're trying to help by making the people and their government compromise. And we can't whipe Lybia off the map and take the oil because that would cause even more havoc than before.... The kings and queens back then were known to conquer and control other kingdoms, which would cause problems, once again.
