Mani wondered how far he’d traveled in the past few days. There was no way of figuring that out now that he’d gone so far. Things here didn’t even look the same. The trees seemed different somehow, and maybe he imagined it, but the ground under his hooves felt harder. Or maybe that was because he’d been walking for so long and had gotten footsore.
Mani didn’t have a solid reason for going so far, he had just… gotten the urge to explore one day. He cherished his family but there was more he wanted to do than just be a loving son. He had a burning desire for adventure, and felt strongly in his heart that somewhere out here, he was needed. He was, after all, trying to be a hero.
The sun was hot today, burning with an intensity not uncommon for summer. Even under the shade of the trees he felt uncomfortable as he walked. Pausing to rest near the trunk of an old oak, one like many of the others in this forest, he considered the fact that he may not have chosen the smartest approach to covering the most ground today. Maybe he should have been waling by night.
Mani sighed and shook his mane, feeling sweaty, tired, and slightly bored. A long day of looking at nothing but trees definitely lost it’s charm after a few hours… He glanced around him, expecting to see only, yay, more trees, but keeping an eye out for potential danger as well. He doubted he’d see anything, it seemed as though the only moving thing out here right now was himself.

Tesha was walking deeper into the forest. Her feet were hurting but she didn't care. She just felt like she was being drawn here somehow. She kept seeing trees tilling she finally came to a clearing in the, middle of the forest. She sighed she thought she was getting to the end of this forest. She looked around for anything it was hot, and she was very thirsty. She kept looking then she saw a little pond. She breathed a breath of relief to finally come to some water. Tesha trotted up to the water, she leaned her head down, and started drinking the water. Oblivious to her surroundings.

Mani saw movement out of the corner of his eye suddenly, and responded in his usual way of tensing and being ready to attack. He had suspected that something might sneak up on him in this forest, since he knew nothing of the territory ands it’s inhabitants… but he hadn’t expected that it might be another Soquili. He could barely see an equine shape through the trees, and moved closer as quietly as he could to get a better look.
She wasn’t just a Soquili, Mani observed as he viewed her. She was the very definition of a fine lady! She looked so sweet and feminine, in her intricate dress and ribbons, and her looks were so lovely, he found himself startled by it. What random luck that he might come across her here!
Mani didn’t know who she was, but he wanted very much to find out. So he stepped out from the cover of the trees to where she could plainly see him, if she hadn’t sensed his approach already. He tried his best to look manly but also unthreatening.
“Hello, M’lady,” he began, feeling himself blush a little as he realized he was talking to a pretty girl, “I’m sorry to intrude. Are you in need of any assistance?”

Tesha was still drinking water, when she heard some movement. When she looked behind her. She saw a stallion coming towards her. She saw that he was very masculine, she liked his coloring with the purple and white. Then she heard him speaking to her, but she didn't know what to say to him? She took a deep breath. "Hello Sir." She saw that he had a rosey color coming to his cheeks. She smiled she thought that was very cute. "Well Sir I seemed to have gotten lost in this forest. I have been walking for hours, and haven't found the way out yet." She walked alittle closer to him so that she was standing in front of him. Then she smiled at him. "Do you think you can help me?"

If Mani hadn't been busy trying to look confident and poised, he would have grinned like a colt when the mare walked up to him. She was so pretty and ladylike, and he felt himself growing bashful as she spoke. He was never good at talking to mares. They made him so nervous!
“M'lady, I would be honored to help you,” Mani told her, hoping he sounded knightly but thinking he came across as silly. He felt rather silly around her, anyway. “I'm not so familiar with these woods but I'll be happy to accompany you and keep you safe until you find where you're going. Do you have family near here, maybe?” Mani was trying to figure out if she already had a stallion in her life. He would never flirt with a lady who was taken, so that was important to him to find out immediately!

Tesha giggled at how cute the stallion was being. "No I have no family." She felt sad because she always wanted a family, but sadly she has been alone for a long time. She changed her sad face to a kind smiled. "Oh forgot to give my name, how rude of me." She blushed at her bad manners for forgeting to give the, stallion her name. "My name is Tesha it is very nice to meet you sir." She looked at the stallion and wonder what his name was? "Well I have no clue where we are but, it will be fun to find our way out." She loves to have some adverture but, she still act like a lady. "Do you have any family?" she thought she was being rude but, she really wanted to know about this stallion. He was very interesting to her.

Mani couldn't help but grin as she spoke. Things seemed to be going so well! "Tesha!" He repeated, echoing the name she gave him, "What a lovely name! I'm Mani. It's nice to meet you, M'lady Tesha." Mani bowed his head in greeting, and when he straightened up again he looked about the clearing.
"I like your attitude," He told her, smiling still, "I think discovering new things is the best fun of life. Yes, it will be fun to find a way out of here! Especially with company." Mani blushed a little, thinking that he was being quite forward, but so far Tesha didn't seem to mind it. "And no M'lady Tesha, I don't have a family. Well, I have parents and siblings, but we haven't spoken in a long while. But there is no mare in my life and no foals."

"It is very nice to meet you to Mani." She looked around the clearing to see which way they should go. "Yes I always love looking for new things." She saw him blushing. But found it to be very cute. She felt a great connection to Mani. She started to blush thinking about Mani. "It must be nice to have parents, and siblings." She showed a sad face because she never knew if she had parents. But that is why she has been looking for the right stallion to start a family. Her face changed from sad to kind face.
"Well if we are going to find a way out of here. We best be getting a move on." She looked for a path, she looked forward and saw a path. "There is a dirt path right there." She pointed her face towards the path.
