Lila lay in the tall grasses away from what was becoming her customary tree on the very outskirts of the demon pride. They knew she was there now and while she was still angry she couldn't be as she was before having met, knowing her cubs were okay. Her eyes drifted upward and she wondered if it was time to move on. She spent far to much time and one place and she had to admit, she rather missed the ocean.
Lila sighed light flicking her tail at a persistent fly that decided he wanted to buzz irritatingly beside her. It seemed to think it was some sort of game, while Lila actually aimed to beam the thing away from her, as it was disturbing her rest.
Frowning she decided, if the fly wouldn't leave her be than she would move. It seemed the logical choice. She just hoped, really hope, it would leave well enough alone. Rising, she stretched, and padded off to find another destination for which to lay about.

Xennek moved quietly through the tall grasses. It had been a while since the male had actually went out to hunt for himself and the lion was practicing his stalking. Admittedly he had already lost one prey, but that had just been for 'practice'. He was determined to get the biggest prey out there. Sekayi won't win this one either. Thought the lion with a small smirk before pausing. Gaze narrowed he looked out into the distance.
Was there someone else out here?
Easily distracted from the prospects of hunting, Xennek found himself stalking towards something other than prey - a lone lioness. What was a pretty one like her doing out here by herself? Normally he would have bounced out into the open towards her, but the lion's last encounters made him wary. So instead he crept forward to get a better look at her.

Lila had watched her cubs grow up from afar after they were taken from her and she was always on guard being close to the demon pride, so she was on guard now. Her head came up and she stopped looking around to see if she could spot the source that put her sense on edge. She felt like she was being watched.
She did not see anything, but she did her a rustle in the grasses which made her quickly turn about face. She frowned backing up slightly before taking a stance.
"Who's there," she called out, hoping she had not been followed.

He was really getting into the whole secrecy mode. Who knew that sneaking up on another feline could actually be fun? Though then she caught him. For a bit Xennek had almost been certain that she wouldn't catch him sneaking up on her. Guess I was hoping too much. He thought with a small smirk. His skill of being perfectly quiet after all needed much polishing. Not like he was one to ever hide from anyone or anything. Still though...
"Guess you caught me." He called out lightly before standing tall in the grasses, "I just happen to be passing through. Meant no harm or anythin'." Xennek flashed her a warm, what he hoped was innocent, smile. "I hope I didn't disturb you."

[[Sorry for the tag delay, rl is kicking me. Hard.]]
Lila almost rolled her eyes at the male, eying him cautiously. He said he was just passing through, which meant unless he was lying that he was hopefully not a demon and he seemed friendly.
Lila sighed before sitting calmly, though she offered no warm friendly smile of her own. No she just glared at him, letting him know that yes indeed she had disturbed him and no she really had not wanted to be bothered. This being said he contact with other's was limited and she really could use a bit of social interaction.
"I was just moving to another area actually. I felt like I was being followed and it is not fun feeling as I am use to living on outskirts of the demon pride. I am very careful to make sure not to encounter them, well not of late, but that is not important."
Lila kept her head up, but eyes down as to see his teeth and claws and to react quickly if thing turned ugly. "Who might you be?"

((It's okay. <3 RL can be a pain, I definitely understand that. Sorry for my own delay in tagging back.))
Xennek studied the lioness. She seemed a bit unwelcoming of his presence, but he really didn't feel like just moving on. He had already stopped after all and in a way it could be considered rude to just leave now. "Oh? So you're trying to get away from the pride? Or at least had to leave due to some ill fate?" Demons. The thought thrilled Xennek. Maybe he should go that direction later and see what fights he could pick. It was actually interesting that a female would live by herself on the outskirts of such a pride. She had to be strong then.
"Me?" Xennek flashed her a grin, "I'm Xennek, just your traveling rogue. Not a demon or anything. But I wouldn't lie to say that I wouldn't be up for fighting like one." He laughed, "As it is I sincerely mean you no harm. Since you know my name, may I have the pleasure of yours?"
