What's so special about a full moon? We get one once every month or so, however, this moon will be closer to Earth then any other full moon this year and should be super big and bright. Also, since the moon's orbit isn't a perfect circle, it's closer to the Earth then it's been in the last 20 years, making this SUPER super big and bright. It occurs on 3/19/11 so if the weather is nice to me I'll be taking pictures.

3/18/11:  This isn't the "true" full moon (that's tomorrow night) but I thought it would be best to take a picture tonight in case of weather problems.

It's really too bad the whole sky was filled with coulds tonight for me I got real excited about this
oh I was showing my sister the pics and she was wonderin if both pictures were the same zoom amount and such?

SG True Queen Jezilina Yeah. I think I saw a bit of the Moon Palace. I'm not sure about the Moon Palace, lol, but the other day I was researching all the "faces" on the moon so I was showing some of them to my little brother. We were watching the moon together, since it's super pretty.

I probably used about the same zoom, which is about as much as I could zoom with my camera as possible. I wish I had a better camera, but I'm stuck with what I'm stuck with. The moon was kinda in the same place (in both pics you can see pine trees, they're the trees to the left of my house if you're standing with your back to my back door) because I wanted my pics. I'm really glad I took the pic on the 18th when I did because VERY shortly after I took it the sky was naught but overcast. Tonight I've been peeking in and out looking at the moon, it's so~ bright out there!
