Professor Larch Pristine Island is the Northernmost island in the chain that makes up Saburo. With it's mountainous terrain and colder climate, it is home to many ice type Pokémon and those Pokémon who prefer higher elevations and colder temperatures. The island boasts coniferous forests inland, and a large sheltered harbor rife with trade ships coming and going from other regions. Pristine Island currently has one Gym, run by the island's Guardian, Yoshirou. The Gym is currently not accessible due to an avalanche. Information taken from the front page of the main thread.

MAIN SOURCES OF INCOME- logging and fishing. Some tourism, for winter-type sports, but less than half the island's generated income is by this method.
NOTABLE PLACES- Chengli's Fish Farm & Restaurant - noted for its freshest of the fresh cuisine, Chengli's fish farm has been in his family for over a century. The raise all types of different fish, for all types of different reasons. There are separate areas on the farm for the fish they use in the restaurant, and for the fish they use for sport and recreation. The restaurant is world-renowned for its signature, spicy dishes; the natives of this cold, chilly region like their food HOT!
Dewei Glacier - possibly the largest glacier known to the current world, the Dewei Glacier is ancient, and dangerous. Many tourists come here to photograph the slowly-moving ice flow between the rough and jagged peaks of the outer-laying mountains, but only the toughest of trainers brave its terrain to train. The number of deaths in the glacier are well into the double-digits, and the folks of the island have only been keeping track for fifty years.
Gan Forest - this large and intimidating coniferous forest borders the glacier to the west, and the coast to the east. It takes up over half of the island's groundspace, and is so thick and dense that it provides them with the most of their economic income. Despite being heavily logged, the industry on the island is very strict about replanting; the forest hardly looks touched or thinned out in any way. The forest is blanketed in snow seven out of twelve months of the year, and hardly receives any sunlight on the ground floor. It is a very dark place that spawns many superstitions and haunted stories.
