The day was clear and warm, with lazy clouds drifting overhead. The field that Orrin was resting in was alive with green grasses and fragrant wildflowers, with bees buzzing this way and that, gathering nectar for their hives. A small stream flowed through the small field, lined by ferns and lillies and smooth colored rocks of gray. Overall, a perfect place to laze in the sun, as Orrin was prone to do!
He sighed happily, letting the spring sun warm his bright coat. His stomach was beginning to growl, and he knew that he'd have to eat soon, but the laziness was simply too sweet to get up and move! The winter had been long and rough, and a warm day was far too rare to pass up.

xxxxxThe day was indeed nice! Uhra remembered back when she first found herself in these lands, instead of wondering from area to area. In merely a month, she would have been taken in by the native people almost a year. Her ears flickered at the thought, and she smiled, very softly. She very much so did not mind that thought in the least. Her feet moved automatically as she walked, tail swishing near her ankles. She loved the native who she called her friend, and who took care of her. And living near the mountains was gorgeous.
xxxxxIt wasn't that Uhra was normally a "ditz" so to speak. But on a such a pretty day, her eyes were turned toward the sky, her body was being tickled, and caressed by the high growing green grass, and her hooves were making soft imprints on the grass and hair. Wait... Uhra stopped, tilting her head for a second, before she glanced down. There shouldn't be hair in the middle of the meadow... Her eyes followed the dark green, semi curly hair, all the way to a multi-green shaded body. "Oh! My goodness! I am so sorry!" She said, a small panic in her voice as she backed up off the stallions tail. If she could, her cheeks would be tinted a soft pink from her embarrassment. "Are you all right? I didn't even see you! Oh goodness, I'm sorry!" Needless to say, the normally calm mare was in a flurry of apologies for stepping on the green stallions tail.

Orrin's head perked as a slight tug was felt upon his tail. He let out a little gasp, but the pressure relieved itself moments later, followed by a very flustered apology spoken in a feminine voice. Her turned his head, cured of his daydreams, and was greeted by the sight of a lovely young mare. He smiled, waving his tail a bit to show that it wasn't hurt.
"Oh, no worries! I'm fine, I really am! See?" He waved his tail in a circle, giving a little chuckle. He looked the mare over, noticing the faint blush on her cheeks, and becoming intrigued at her dragon-like marking. He hadn't seen her around before, but she seemed friendly enough! Maybe she'd be willing to converse for a while, perhaps she was a traveler and would have colorful stories to tell!
"I haven't seen you around here before," he said, turning around so that he faced her fully. "I'm Orrin--what's your name?"

xxxxxUhra's head dropped and then lifted, pushing her bangs away from her face. She really was sorry. Honestly, she didn't see the green male laying in the grass. And it was her fault, totally and completely! Or at least that was what she believed. Her front left hoof lifted from the grass, pawing at it slightly, before resting down. She watched his tail, almost inspecting it to ensure it really was okay, before she locked eyes with the stallion. A small sigh of relief shifted out of her lips, her head lowering again as if a weight had just been lifted from her shoulders.
xxxxx"Oh thank the stars... I still am very sorry." She almost whispered, her voice soft, before she lifted her head again, and stared toward him. Her entire body seemed to ease, relax. She smiled lightly, ears perked up, eyes staring up toward him before tilting her head at the inquiring of her name. With a small little whinny, she shook out her mane again, before responding. "Uhra. It is so wonderful to meet you, Orrin!" She said all too happily.

"Well, it's no matter, really. I've had my own awkward run-ins," he chuckled, before listening to her name. It was a strange name, one that he hadn't heard of before, but it had a nice tone to it. He decided that it was fitting of her, and that he liked it very much.
"It's nice to meet you too, Uhra. So, what brings you to this part of the woods? Do you live near here? I don't live too far away, but I often journey here and there to get a little taste of adventure." He grinned, thinking of how nice it would be to have another Usdia friend. He hadn't ever seen many of his own kind, besides Forte and Syn, that was. Now that he thought about it... there seemed to be an abundance of female Usdias in the world. No matter! The notion was fine to him. Though it did seem strange that he had never met any male Usdias besides his father... he chuckled to himself, then remembered his place and became quickly quiet and attentive.

xxxxx Uhra blinked up at him, staring quietly before her eyes shifted lightly away, almost shying to the ground. She pawed at the earth for a few moments, before turning her attention back up to him, staring quietly, tail swaying ever so slightly. With a soft noise of approval, she nodded to the nice to meet you part, basically saying she was still very pleased. She'd met a few other Usdia's, mostly male, with one little female, and very little other soquili in general. So she was excited to have met the male.
xxxxx The question sparked her curiosity to a point. A home... Uhra didn't have one of those quite yet. She was still trying to decide what she was doing. After living along side the native people, even if she wasn't a pet, she felt close to them, and at the same time far away. Her eyes flickered in thought, before landing back on the male, with a small smile, eyes lit up like the golden rays of the sun. "I just wonder around during the day, mostly on my own. It let's me learn the land, and eventually find out more and more about other breeds. Even though I've only met this one that claimed he was a raptor... And other Usdia's, of course." she explained simply, nodding her head again.
xxxxx Her ears perked though, at the chuckle that emitted from the man. She stared toward him quite curiously, her eyes blinking several times, ears swiveling. "Is something funny, Orrin?" She asked, voice very curious now.
