Horus looked at the shrine that Atum rested on and frowned. Why in the world did the perimeter of his tribe need to be checked. Normally none of the tribe went there except for Persephone and Kaname since it was at the very end of the lands. There hadn’t been a problem there since he had been alive. None the less the modeity had to have a good reason right. He was really starting to disagree again when he stepped out of the desert and onto the cool fresh grass. Come to think of it why was he doing it, kemet had scouts. Well he supposed he had sent them off to do something else. Jaci was looking for water and Kaname had already sent Marius out somewhere for some errand. Thus no scouts, in fact he had given everyone else something to do other than Kaname and he was hardly going to have his sick friend fly out all the way to the edge of Kemet. Looking around he was still confused on why he had to come all the way out here.

Xinder had banished herself as far as she could, stopping in an area that had both lush grass and desert. It was an odd area, as she was an odd fox. She had inherited the glow that she had around herself, but it was still an anomaly for most foxes, and most had pushed her away. Xinder didn't understand why the glow made so many drive her out, and she really could only hope to find someone who wouldn't run her off. Not that she was going to find anyone out here.
As if the Modeities themselves were against her, Xinder immediately heard the padding of paws directly after her thought. Her first response was to run away before she was forced to leave. He second was to defend this territory from this random fox. However, her Mama had taught her manners. Tentatively standing up, she edged closer to the black and red fox. "Hello." She called out.

As he walked around he still couldn’t see what was so bad that he needed to come all the way out to the outlands of Kemet. With a sigh he wondered once again if it was one of Atum’s pranks because he had gotten bored but with Seth deciding to mess with Kemet again he hardly believed that was the case. Suddenly his ears picked up another creature out here and he let out a small snort. Was this situation sure similar it brought him back to when he had first met Hitoru. Of thoughts instantly made him sad now days. Perhaps though there was some one he was supposed to meet here? Well apparently fate was stepping in because he heard a Feminine hello. ‘Oh there was a vixen here?’ was Horus’s first intelligent thought well as a tribe leader he needed to be courteous right? “Hello there” he stated back. Probably the best way to start.

Xinder eyed the fox suspiciously and curled her tail around herself protectively. "Are you here to run me off? Cause I didn't know this place belonged to anyone." She said cautiosly. Xinder tried to make sure her tone wasn't insulting, in fact, she knew how to modulate her tone to give away nothing.
The purple and green vixen hoped that this male didn't read insults into her words. That would not be a good way to start off a conversation. Still, she needed to know if there would even be a conversation. She was out of lunging distance, but she refused to come closer until she knew this fox wasn't about to hurt her.

Horus blinked wondering what was behind the story that the first thing she thought was he was running her off. Well he supposed thinking about it, it wasn't that hard. "Ah no Miss. I am not here to run you off. I was just curious to see who was on Kemet land." He stated in a neutral tone. He didn't mind if she was just passing through or even staying a bit here. It wasn't like it was being used too much at the moment. He saw no harm in it after all.
Horus sighed. What was it these days that he had a thing about meeting people in elder mode. he was a normal fox too. Even if he had more responsibilities than others.

Xinder relaxed slightly an the continuing tone of friendly-ness, but she still kept further away than absolutely necessary. Her glow was a little harder to see during the day, especially if one wasn't looking for it. Still, civility should always be met with civility.
"Kemet land? Who or what is Kemet?" Xinder asked, shifting her body into a politely curious stance. She was always overly careful with both her tone and body language. "And again, I'm sorry if I'm trespassing. I didn't know the land belonged to this Kemet, er...person?"

Horus crushed the sigh of relief when he saw that she relaxed even if it was just a tiny bit, but a tiny bit was still progress right? Horus blinked for some odd reason there was something off about her appearance but he wouldn’t really be able to tell unless he stared at her and that would probably get them right back to the beginning. Plus kemet had all sorts of strange foxes that made their home there. “yep this is kemet land, well just barely. Kemet is a tribe that makes its home around here” he stated. For some odd reason he didn’t want to say he was the elder just quite yet. “No your not really tress…” he trailed off well she was but, “its okay its not like you are doing any harm really”

Xinder gave a nervous little laugh and flicked her tail. "Don't you think that the elder should determine that?" She muttered just loud enough for him to hear. Wait, what if he was the elder? Lifting her head, she looked over the male again and frowned. No...didn't she hear that they looked a little different from normal modis?
"Who...ah...may I ask for your name?" The vixen asked, shrinking back out of reflex. She caught herself and forced herself to take a half-step forward and made herself relax her muscles a little bit more. There was no reason for her to be afraid of this fox...yet.

“Ah yes and no. The elder has the final say in the matter but others who have been in the tribe awhile also can make that decision to let them into Kemet. Of course he has the last say in the matter I guess.” Horus told her. ‘and since I am the elder….’ He let out a small sigh. Some times he had wished the modeities hadn’t thrown him into this positon at such a youngish age.
“Yes you may. My name is Horus but you can also call me Heru if you wish” Horus nodded. He tilted his head to the side in confusion as she shrunk back for those few small seconds. He didn’t think he was all that frightening but he supposed it could just be out of habit.

"O-oh, I see." Xinder replied. It was a heirarchy and this fox was fairly high up in it. Luckily for her, the fox seemed nice and the sun was high in the sky. Xinder chanced a glance up and noted that the sun was starting to come down from it's noon position. She would have to go soon if she didn't want to show her glow.
"Horus..." She said once she turned her attention back to the male. It was an odd name. Nice, but odd. Though she shouldn't talk; Xinder was odd too. Heru though...how does one get 'Heru' from 'Horus? "I'm...I'm Xinder." She offered in return.

“Yep, of course we’ve all been here for a while so I guess any tribe member could pretty much give you permission” he frowned. Well that wasn’t true a few of the children’s mates have come to join them in the tribe and an old friend of Kaname and his sister had shown up as well. They wouldnt exactly be able to fit in that category. He looked up at the sky as well and wondered if everything was going smoothly. It was only a few days before the sand storm hit but it wasn’t like it was their first one. The first one Seth had a major part in but still he trusted everyone to be doing what they where suppose to.
He nodded and smiled. She was probably wondering about the Horus vs Heru thing. It would seem a bit strange he guessed but then when considering Kemet mythology it made a bit more sense. “xinder huh? That’s a nice name” he smiled.

Zinder raised her eyebrows at his hard to follow babble. His first sentence didn't seem to make any sense or have anything to do with what they had been talking about. "Ah...okay." She said, thinking he might just be talking to himself about something important. And then his second sentence startled her.
"Th-thank you." She said, never having gotten a compliment before. "Horus is a pretty cool name too. Does...does it have a special meaning?"

Okay so basically it was a clue that Horus should just try to stop explaining himself about how his tribe worked. If she ever came to it perhaps he would try again but for now it was just confusing her and frustrating him. Anyways it hardly matter point was that she had permission. His stomach churned a bit, he should just tell her he was the elder shouldn’t he. He didn’t like lying to people and he had a feeling this would blow up in his face.
However he was drawn out of his thinking on how she seemed surprised at his compliment. Had she never gotten one? She was very lovely although there was something off about her. Not a bad off but he couldn’t quite place what it was. “You are most welcome. Um well it does in kemet it means Far seeing one” he answered. It was also apparently the son of Osiris who was supposed to rule over the tribe of foxes but he would just leave that part out.

"That's cool. My name doesn't mean anything. It just means me." She said with a small smile. Suddenly becoming aware of the passing time again, Xinder shot a look up at the sky and noticed it darkening. Her glow was going to be very visible very soon. The female fox panicked.
"Oh, uh...it was nice to meet you, Horus. But, um...I have to go." She said in a shaky voice. She looked around and couldn't find one place to disappear into. Suddenly she was in shadow as a large cloud passed over then and obsured the sun, allowing her glow to shine out visibly.

“Well as long as you wear your name proudly I don’t think it needs to mean anything” Horus stated. He wondered if he was taking up her time and whether or not she had some place to go. He should probably head back as well. He wasn’t too sure why he was out checking the edges of the tribe either and it would be dark most definitely. He blamed modeities and their stupid whims.
“Well it was nice to meet you as well. Sorry for taking up your time.” Horus stated. He inwardly frowned wondering why she was suddenly a bit fidgety. However it was far from him to detain a fox. Suddenly Xinder started to green of all things. Horus blinked and tilted his head to the side. “ Oh.... I see you glow. Hmmm you know its very pretty” he smiled sincerely. He didn’t think it odd since every day life was weirder. He lived around Crocodile fighting Perma kits, giant tribe guardians, Akori saw marbles and some of his foxes wore human clothes of all things.
