The white stallion was standing in front of a lake looking down into the water only seeing his reflection. He didn't like swimming and remembered when he was a foal always having the hardest time keeping himself afloat in such deep water. He knew he sister probably didn't have much trouble swimming. She never did in the first place, but he was too afraid to try again. After nearly drowning once, it was scary for him sometimes to even drink from a lake depending on it's size. This was nothing different for him. He sipped the water from the lake before turning away from it slowly taking in it's beauty. He never really had been to an ocean before. He had heard they were more then one hundred times bigger then lakes, but he just couldn't believe it. Lakes were big enough to him and just imagining something that big nearly killed him.
He stepped away from it more walking along the edge of the lake watching the still water some more. He only saw a few ripples occur when a breeze blew by or something fell into the water. He smiled slightly and walked around it more. Nothing was on his agenda today other then visiting the dead like usual. But that was always on his agenda.

Nervousness and fear filled her heart. This was all so new and strange to her, like a nightmare that was brought to reality, but she had no choice. Her 'mother' had insisted she learn to 'grow-up' and explore the world around her, for she could not be coddled forever if she ever wanted to have a life that was her own. So Marika obeyed and reluctantly left her beach home to see what was beyond that of the beaches and ocean. It was so weird to not hear the sound of water or smell the familiar salt air, but in a way it wasn't too bad. She was learning new things, and at the same time things she would rather not witness and know about, but that is what she got since she rarely ever left the beach side. She knew the ways of the sea life, the mers, kelpis and seathis, but she rarely ever got a glimpse of those whom were like her self. Ones that were bound to the earth, so she wondered what they were like. "Hopefully I don't seem too weird to them..." she whispered to herself with a bit of worry.

The white stallion looked at the water more wondering what it was like to swim in it. He didn't think he could ever do it again. It just wasn't something that interested him anymore. He took a drink before moving away from it finally before seeing a mare wandering with very long black hair. She was a brilliant color blue that she could probably only pull off. Not many could look good fully blue. He had seen it before and it was blinding enough.
"Hello miss."
He called out to her and slowly walked towards her. He had been more open with his way of speaking with others. He wasn't trying to be shy anymore. He was trying to expand and be more bold. Enitan had been teaching him a lot of things lately and he was very bold himself in a different kind of way. It was probably something he loved about him. He smiled at the thought as he still looked at the mare. Examining her features.
"How are you?"
His voice was light and airy as he perked his ears up.

[Updating from Aim Log]
She had seen corals of colors so bright, and schools of fish whom were just as bright. She has seen waters that sparkled like gems under the sun's light, and sand that could be compared to snow so white. Yet, in all her days she had never seen colors like the one of a forest. The browns, the greens, the blue skies that were blocked by the canopy above, never in her days, never had she seen such things before. All of it was so strange and foreign to one like her. As she walked along the unmarked paths, she couldn't help but freeze and look around when a flock of birds took off in to the sky. Really, by her reaction and the look on her face one would think she was reacting to some kind of attack. 'Just stay calm, Marika. You don't want to stand out any more than you already do...' Taking a deep breath, the blue mare moved to continue on her walk, but stopped at the sound of a whisper like voice. She didn't know whether she should answer, or if it was just a figment of her imagination. "I'm okay?" she said as she looked around to see whom was talking to her, if anyone. It wasn't long before Marika's eyes landed on a ghost like figure, one whom seemed to stand out in his own right, but not in the same way she did. Though he was different, he still fit in an odd way. "Are you a resident of this forest, if I may ask?"

The ghostly looking stallion tilted his head a little bit more at the female before lifting it back up so he could stare at her straight on. She really was a pretty blue color and there was very few Soq that he had met that were actually blue. It wasn’t a huge difference, but it was something new for him. “I’m glad your alright..” He said lightly to her. He never spoke out of turn with anyone. It wasn’t right to be mean to someone. There was no reason for it really. “Yes I do, but not all the time. Why do you ask? Have you been wandering the forest? If can be dangerous if you get lost..” He nodded to her and if she needed help getting someone it was his duty to do so. Being a guide was in his blood and it was something he could do for her. Since it was beginning to get dark, he wouldn’t want the female to get injured or hurt in any way. “I’m Hania Shen…You are?” He asked blinking his glowing white eyes through his mask before tilting his head to the right side once again.

Marika gave a bit of a smile as she took a moment to get a better look at the male before him, especially when it came to his mask and horns. She had never seen another soq with deer like horns before, but them again she had never seen many soq at all. If anything she could count all of her encounters on one human hand, which was a bit sad if one thought about it. But it didn’t really phase her.
“Oh yes.” she nodded while breaking her stare. “I’ve been roaming around the area for a while now. It may sound a bit weird, but this is my first time really making my way through a forest, so it is a bit confusing for me. Everything just seems so…strange and new for me, though I guess for those more ‘normal’ hearing something like that would just seem stupid and odd, maybe even outcast like."
With the shake of her head, her stringed pearls giving a light clank, she broke from her thoughts and turned back to the masked male.
“Hania Shen?” she gave another nod as if trying to memorize the name for a moment.
“My name is Marika. It’s nice to meet you. It’s always nice to put a name to a face, even if it is a hidden one.”

Hania listened to her closely and he definitely didn’t see her as an outcast. There wasn’t anything about her that seemed that way. Maybe some would find that odd, but he was odd himself and there was nothing more strange then him or so he thought. “I don’t think that is strange or odd. Your probably from another place right? I was new to this area at one point and I never traveled outside of the woods before until recently so it was a new experience for me also…so I wouldn’t say it’s odd. I consider it an experience. Something new to you might not be fore someone else and vice versa. But why do you call yourself an outcast?” He asked her tilting his head back up again before flicking his long man over his shoulder a little bit. “Yes, but if you want most call me Hania for short. It’s easier to remember. Marika? That name is a pretty one. Something I have never heard before. Does it mean anything?” He looked away from her staring into the distance wondering if there was a graveyard nearby. “Oh my face…yeah..I don’t usually show it. It’s just a formality to keep my mask on, but at the same time…I’m terrified of what others might say about my face underneath. I feel as if my eyes will scare others away…they are ghostly white.” He said softly as he looked back at her. He didn’t think he would ever be able to take his mask off.

She couldn't help but frown a bit of Hania's explanation. It was true that most feared what they could not understand, and what they didn't see as normal in one way or another,, but to fear someone because of their eye color, now what was just odd in its own way. She could understand if his eyes were bloodied and cut out, but this, no. However, she decided not to push the matter. She didn't want to make him uncomfortable in anyway, especially since she just met the guy. "Yes, I was born and raised by the ocean. I suppose I became to comfortable and connected for my own good, because I never left, not this year anyway. My 'mother' insisted I learn to pull away and see more of what the world has to offer." Marika feel silent at the next question. What would he think if she explained her differences from everyone else? Yeah, being abandoned as a basket was normal in most sense, but not everyone literally called a body of water their parent, not everyone had some kind of bi-polar disorder and literally walked around arguing with themselves until the point of some kind of victory or mental breakdown. "Heh, if you knew of my problems then you would understand why some look at me as if I am some kind of loon. But never mind that!" She smiled once more, her tail flicking around behind her. "Why yes, I have been told that Marika means "Star of the sea", which fits with my birth place and all. If you don't mind me asking, regarding your mask and all, did you actually kill something and take its skull, or did you happen to just happen upon it?"

Hania attentively listened to her story before turning his head away from her towards the horizon. He knew all to well what it felt like to be different. Not many had his gift and not many appreciated his gift. But he could understand where she was coming from. Going into an unknown world is hard especially if you’re alone and have to deal with it. “I’m sorry to hear that you have to do such a task alone. It’s not the easiest task in the world, but you will be fine. You seem strong enough anyway. If there is anything you want to learn though I can help you with it. I don’t know everything, but I guess I know some things.” He nodded before looking back to her. A loon? Now he was just curious to find out why someone would think that. “Some think I’m crazy as well. I see spirits and can communicate with them. Some don’t see how I can do that, but then again…most don’t have open minds. If you don’t mind…why would someone call you a loon?” He tilted his head and looked down trying to remember exactly how he acquired his mask. He sometimes forgot. “Oh that is a pretty meaning as well. It somehow…suits you. I happened upon it. I don’t believe in hurting others at all. My sister claims it’s a family heirloom that was drawn to us, but I just believe it is more like the spirits brought them to us. Animals can pose as very powerful spiritual entities.” He nodded and sometimes he wondered how he came across something so dark looking yet it fit so perfectly.

[More Aim log updating]
Marika's ears perked up as she listened to the stallion's words. To be able to communicate with those whom occupy the afterlife, that was indeed a special gift, but she knew that certain gifts could also be seen as a burden and a curse all the same. She pondered what such a gift was like, to be able to see and talk to those who lived in the past, whom wondered around through present history. "You can communicate with spirits? What is it like? Have you ever come across a more devilish spirit?" so many questions flooded through her mind, but they stopped as he asked a question of his own. "Oh, it is because of the way I was raised, and because of my mental status. I never knew my parents or anyone within my family. I was abandoned along the beach side and left to raise myself. Eventually I came to see the ocean as my mother of sorts. The water kept me company, helped provide for me and such." She nodded, a small smile came across her face as she thought back to her home. "As for my mental status, I have an opposite personality within. She is very much her own being. At times I can even hear her talk to me within my mind, and she can take control of my body. She is a very mean spirit, very evil in her own manner..."

“Yes I can communicate with the spirits. It’s…interesting meeting others that have lived their lives fully and have stories to tell. I mean for someone like me who has done it for awhile now, I don’t really hear many interesting tales like I have before. Devlish? No I haven’t really met a bad spirit before, but I do know they are out there.” He told her giving a firm nod before looking away and sighing very lightly to himself. “Oh…I’m sorry to hear that. Living on your own is very difficult and hard. I was lucky enough to have my sister, but most times I was alone. It was hard…it was tough, but you get through those times and come out on top. It happens and if you don’t stay strong….then you will fall and suffer.” He told her giving another nod. “Evil? Mean? Does she know that you exist when you turn into her? I can’t even see you as being mean..” He frowned at her words not sure how she came around to having something so evil inside her. “How did you get an opposite personality?” He asked.

The truth was that Marika had no idea how this second being came in to existance. Was she something that had always been inside her, a curse, or maybe a creation born from her need for company? She had no idea. All she did know was one day her second personality was just there, and she had no thoughts of ever leaving, if she could ever leave anyway. "Yes, I am thankful that I managed to survive on my own, and was blessed with the chance to surive. But, I guess in a way my other self had something to do with it to, since she seems more stubborn and stronger than myself. I have no idea how she came to be, but she's here, and I don't think she will ever leave. She will always be a part of me. " Sighing, the mare slowly shook her head like a parent that just heard some bad news about their child. "Yes, she is mean and evil in her own way. While I am like calming waters, she's more like a whirlpool or an ocean storm. Her words and actions are harsh in nature, and she will not think twice about hurting others with words or physical actions. She can communicate with me, and I with her. Though, sometimes I can remember and see what she does with she takes control, other times...not so much. Oh well." With that said, Marika just gave a light shrug as if to brush the thoughts of her other half off. "If you do not mind, would you mind showing me around. I think it would be bad if I ever found myself lost in this place. It seems like an endless maze for someone like myself. I have no idea who other soq even find their way around here..."

“Yes you should be thankful to be able to survive. It’s not a nice place out there and it’s hard to live on your own.” He nodded and listened to her talk about her other self. He couldn’t believe that she had another personality in her. Another one that was evil and mean, but he still thought the one he was talking to now was strong. Even though she said otherwise. “I see, but at least you both have come to be able to live with each other. It’s something that would be hard to do when the both of you are complete opposites. I find it unique and intriguing that you have two sides of you. I don’t know anyone else that has that..” He told her listening to more of the story behind the other personality making him frown and sigh a little bit. “That doesn’t sound pleasant. Has this kept you from finding love? I feel it would be difficult for someone to accept that you have two sides and that one is completely mean. If you don’t want to talk about it…you don’t really have to.” He walked over to a little bit and dropped his head very slowly as he thought about where they should go first if he did show her around. This was his duty and it was something he wanted to do. “Sure I will show you around. It will be good to get you to know the place and maybe you will meet others.” He smiled slightly before beginning to walk away from her slowly. “Follow me.”

With a smile on her face, and excitement in her step, Marika happily followed after the masked stallion. It was nice to not onlyhave someone to talk to, but to have that other being actually accept her for her "flaws". Her problems had weirded a few other out more than once, and her other half has scared other and made a few enemies along the way, so she only hoped this time would not be the case. "Yes, she has be a burden on my own life quite a few times. Love really isn't a big problem. I can't even make a single friend or long lasting acquaintance due to her attitude and need to anger others, or scare them off. I still try though. It would be nice to meet others like yourself though, others whom are more understanding and open to the.."not so normal" I guess." Following close behind Hania, Marika continued to watch the forest, and examine her surroundings like a foal fresh out of her basket. There were so many thing, so many creatures she had never laid eyes upon. She had seen the fish of the sky and few ocean birds before, but never a lizard making its way up a tree, or the song birds, and crows whom hid high in the canopy. There was still so much for her to see and learn. "How about you? Has life been nice to you, despite your gift?"

Hania Shen kept looking back behind him to make sure that she was there following him. He didn’t want to be abandoned especially after being asked to help her through the dark woods at this time. “That is a shame, but I can see why others wouldn’t stick around long enough and accept you for who you are. It only makes one hate themselves for being ‘different’ or not ‘normal’. I don’t like that kind of behavior at all because in the end it will hurt the person that is treated differently for it. But I for one won’t be like that with you. I am different and I know that, but I don’t treat anyone differently because most of the time you can’t change that part of you. It’s what makes you who you are.” He nodded to her as he continued walking through the woods. His beads giving off a very faint glow as he walked through the trees and bushes very slowly. There wasn’t much amazement in it to him since he had wandered around the forest many times. There was no need to marvel in something he passed by so many times before. “Yes and no..I have fell in love with someone that others might not accept. I am in love with a stallion and he loves me in return. I don’t care what others think about it, but when it comes to my sister….she doesn’t understand it and thinks I shouldn’t have chose this kind of lifestyle. I argue with her about it every time we meet so we don’t talk much anymore. I don’t agree with her way of life either. She is throwing herself at stallions for children with no love involved….I don’t understand that. I believe in surrogacy if she went with that, but….she is looking for love and that isn’t the way to do it.” He said lightly with a sad tone of voice.
