Adra is a tall and lean girl. When she was younger she was called a beanpole. Her skin is tanned from spending a great deal of time outside in the sun and wind. Long blonde hair reaches down to her hips. Her bangs and the tips of her hair is red with thin black streaks. Adra wears a fire stone barret on the right.

Attire is simple. A red spagetti strap shirt that reads "Fire Pokemon Burn!" in yellow letters across the front. Black pants, well worn for walking and stalking around. Adra likes her 'gold' sandels over sneakers. Two black horizontal straps on her right bicep are connected by twin black vertical bands that hold her pokeballs.


Personality:
Although her parents are miners, she’s never had endless amounts of toys to play with. Often she spent more time outside; climbing trees in the forest and racing pokemon on the plains. Adrasteia learned from her parents how to be very thrifty with money. She saves everything she can and only buys what she absolutely needs. This is somewhat helped by her deviousness. There’s more than one way to get what she wants.

As a young girl she saw numerous trainers come through the town. The mindless numbers and watching them making the same mistakes over and over affected her. She wants to be more than ‘just another trainer’ out catching pokemon. As a result of seeing this time and time again her determination has soared. To be more than ‘other’ trainers, Adrasteia has become very picky about choosing her first pokemon. Several times she has turned down starters that were offered to kids of suitable age. This, in part, is because she desires fire and dark pokemon, or eevee.

Adrasteia is courageous around pokemon and will go that extra step to do something, despite any danger. There is one flaw to this. She is deathly afraid of being underground; specifically in cave systems. Anything and everything will be done to avoid going in. She is also left handed.

History:
Adrasteia was born to two rare stone miner parents of Sagestone. She was the only child they ever had. An experience in her parent's mine has left her terrified to go back into caverns. She was 9 or 10 when she was sent down to relay a message to her parents. Instead she fell down a hole when the floor collapsed and had to wait for rescue. Luckily she only received minor scrapes and bruises. The wait for rescue traumitized her, and Adra avoided the mine at all costs since then. She hates living in Sagestone because the mine is so close and a reminder of that day.

When she reached the normal age a child is given their first pokemon, she turned down every one that was offered to her. Adra wanted a fire type pokemon, but they were very scarce in that area. Despite not having a pokemon, the young girl enrolled herself in some fire-breathing classes. She is fairly good at it for her age. Again she was offered a pokemon and refused them as being unacceptable.

The last couple years her parents have begun hinting ever more blatantly that she come work with them in the mine. She hasn't wanted to tell them why she doesn't want to go down. Instead Adra has been givening excuses to get herself out of going down. Now she was starting to run out of ideas and beginning to get concerned. She couldn't leave without a pokemon and couldn't stay without being recruited for the mine.

Spending as much time outside and away from the house as she possible could, Adrasteia wandered by the forest. Kicking her feet through the grass she uncovered a strange ball. She knew instinctively it was a pokeball, but it was black and unfamiliar to her. Distracted by handling and examining the ball it was several moments before she became aware of a pokemon's cry.

Cyndaquil. Adra caught her breath as she spotted the small pokemon between some trees. A true fire pokemon. She looked down at the strange ball in her hands and grinned. The dark ball flew through the air and landed squarely on the cyndaquil's back. She had caught her first pokemon! Shortly there after, Adrasteia left her home down to begin her journey with Athemia.
