She felt so... Well, far from home was a redundant thought. Of course she was far from home, she'd gone on a journey to find her far-flung family. It was a song she wanted to sing back home, about how far she'd come in terms of genes, and how far her family had gone. It was simply amazing to her that such a thing could happen as everybody going so far away from each other. And yet... They were united by the blood they bore. She only had a couple names to go by in her search - Ezeoha and Kirjava. Which was what brought her to the eastern grasslands, where her coat seemed to stick out like a moving rock. And yet blended in... Like a rock. The gray lioness climbed up into a tree, seeking a better vantage point. Everything around her was unfamiliar, and yet comforting since it looked so much like the lands near her home. And then she spotted a moving shape. A short roar tore from her throat and maw, calling to the other with a hope of conversation all the way out here.

Day who knows what. Otea sighed as she walked on, before deciding to lie down for a moment. This is what she wanted, an adventure; however, she didn’t expect it to be…so plain. The ground was dry, her cream colored body almost matching the deadening grass. She rolled over, her tail idly flicking the ground. There had to be /something/ out here that would be at least some amusement, right? Her ears flicker at a distant sound. Was that a roar…? She shot up quickly, brushing the dust of her neutral colored pelt as she followed the sound. Finally another to talk to! Out of the whole rogue lands she had only met one (count them, ONE) other. She must’ve taken the paths less traveled.
Her light blue eyes spotted the source of the voice in a tree; a lioness with a bluish gray hue pelt marred with lighter color paws, and brown toes. She smiled as she neared the other, her voice happy that someone else was around,
“You don’t know how excited I am to see another!” She grinned. “I was beginning to think something happened, and I was the only lion left.”

Carefully, Amara backed out of the tree. Her ears twitched, blue eyes on the ground below her as she moved. When her paws finally touched dirt, she let go and twisted around, planting her paws on the ground. "I could say the same thing, I haven't seen another lion in three days!" She couldn't help but crack a small grin. "Maybe a leopard, and a misplaced gorilla, but not another lion." It was actually very lonely traveling like that. Though the gorilla was still... Odd... What was it doing in the savanna...?

“Misplaced…gorilla?” Otea blinked. “Ohhh I’ve never met a leopard! What was it like! I met another lion who was from…a place called the swamplands! He was out on some..naming quest thingy,” The female didn’t know much about other prides; she just knew mainly of the pridelands. “It sounded cool, but I think I like my name the way it is!” Her name meant dreamer, and she was always dreaming of adventure. It suited her, so she thought.
“I’m Otea!” she introduced to the lioness. “I’m from the Pridelands where pretty much most of my family resides.” (and by family, she meant brothers, sisters, mother, father, cousins, second cousins, you name it—they were probably there). She couldn’t help but grin at the fact. The cream colored lioness loved telling those pride members that were lucky enough not to be related just how big her family was, and just the kind of reaction that would come from them. It was rather priceless really.

Amara let out a sound of amazement. "I couldn't imagine changing my name... I like my own name, too!" She couldn't imagine what it was like in other prides, their other customs and ways. "I'm from the Nchi'mahadi, we do a lot of dancing and a bit of singing!" It was part of her, to feel the rhythm in everything.
She grinned, "I'm Amara! I don't have TOO much family back home... Just my mother, my father, my brothers, some nieces and nephews..." Something suddenly occurred to her. "Pridelands...?" She moved just a bit closer. "Do you know a lion by the name of... Oh, what was it...? Um..." She wracked her brain. "Ezer... Ezeoha?"

Nchi’mahadi…. That was a new pride she would have to remember! “Dancing and Singing? Oh that sounds sooo cool!” The Pridelands didn’t have many traditions (if any, now that she thought of it). Maybe that is what made it different from all the other prides. She shrugged inwardly.
“It’s nice to meet you Amara!” She grinned and nodded when Amara had mentioned the Pridelands in the questioning tone. Ezeoha…? “Um…I can’t say that I have…But you know the Pridelands ARE quite large. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone did know of this…Ezeoha.” She stated. Now, if Otea’s family wasn’t as large as it was, she would know that Ezeoha was actually her grandfather.
“Do you happen to know what he may look like? Or…might look like? I may know who is family is...?” she offered.

Amara thought about it, trying to pinpoint. "Well... I guess he'd be a gold color... I'm not entirely sure, myself, about that... But it sounds about right." Back in the Nchi, her family wasn't exactly huge. It was small-ish, and they were close. She just couldn't remember if her grandmother ever talked about her maternal grandfather beyond his name. Paying attention would have done well for her...
