This topic is still a work in progress. I will update the information within it as I see fit.
Zoids. Large, mechanical lifeforms native to Planet Zi. They resemble familiar creatures from Earth, and are outfitted with weapons for battle. Most Zoids that are used today are "evolved" from a base Zoid that has most likely become extinct over the ages. Visit the Zoids Wikia for a List of Zoids.
Planet Zi. This is the planet on which our stories unfold. It is vast, with great oceans and plains, mountains, forests, and deserts. It has two moons. It has been inhabited by people called "zoidians" for quite some time. There are cities and rural towns all across the planet, but there are also wastes and ruins left from battles long ago.
God's Fury. A massive meteor shower fell upon Zi, causing volcanoes to erupt, earthquakes to shatter the continent, and in the end... all life was obliterated. Few Zoidians and organoids survived while being frozen in capsules, and the planet was repopulated by humans who brought Zoids back to life, and who also eventually found the lost Zoidians and Organoids.
Zoidians. There was once a civilization of people now referred to as "ancient zoidians" who connected with the mechanical beasts of Zi with grand results. These people are no more; zoidians today don't worry about connecting with their Zoids, as many are manufactured by one of the respective factions of Zi.
Organoids. These mechanical creatures are remnants of the ancient Zoidian society. They are capable of fusing with Zoid cores, enabling many benefits to the Zoids, but Organoids are also very intelligent creatures, and don't bond well with many people. Organoids can transfer information between themselves and use that to develop "offspring" in the presence of an "organoid egg". The resurrection of old organoids assisted in this new development thanks to new programming. Organoid eggs are manufactured by Leeo Technologies.
Sky People. Escaping the meteor shower on Gildragons, these people built a flying city and traversed from there back to the surface to help the planet rebuild. They built "generators" that assisted in foresting the land and helping vegetation grow, as well as assisted in the growth of animal life. These generators also produced a liquid known as reggel, which fueled dying zoids.
Venerable Ancestors. The people of Zi referred to these people as the "civilization prior to God's Fury." These are not the same people as the sky people, but the sky people do have knowledge of the ancestors' technology.
Bio Zoids. Created to "wipe clean" the planet, these Zoids were fueled by the captured souls of skilled Zoid pilots, giving them robotic, AI capabilities. "Perfect soldier" types. More powerful Bio Zoids were piloted by live people, but the piloting of these Zoids still drained their souls. The armor of these Zoids was unaffected by ordinary weaponry; it could only be damaged by Metal Zi (Leeo). Bio Zoids were wiped out and are no longer manufactured.
Leeo. Leeo or Metal Zi was the only metal that could damage the armor on Bio Zoids. Few Zoids existed during the era of Bio Zoids that wielded Leeo weapons. Now, Leeo Technologies can manufacture the metal, and has incorporated it into most of the higher grade zoids and CP units.
Leeo Technologies. A massive manufacturing company responsible for the generation of organoids, zoids, and zoid parts. Their business is a government service; all sales and manufacture is dictated by the government, making everything very legalized.

ZOIDS Technical Dictionary
System Freeze - A Zoid cannot operate. Zoids have two systems, one for all purposes and another for armaments. If a Zoid's Battle System freezes, it cannot fire any of its weaponry or deploy shields or camouflage systems, but it is still mobile and can track enemies (if proper units are installed).
Overheat - Zoids cannot fire beam or laser weapons, or deploy shields too often or the Zoid will overheat, causing a system freeze. Cooling units can help prevent this, but only to a reasonable degree.
CAS - Changing Armor System. Swaps the original armor of the Zoid for another armor, and usually different weapons and systems.'
Blox Fusion - Blox Zoids are able to combine with other Blox and some Zoids. Most known fusions are already listed.
Charged Particle Cannon - signature weapon of the "saurer" types, this cannon fires high energy photons. At the speed the photons work, it has the power to disintegrate armor or otherwise greatly damage a Zoid. It also has an area of impact around the beam, but this area is significantly weaker in destructive power.
Charged Blade Attack - signature weapon of Blade Liger and successors. With blades deployed, a Zoid can generate a laser field around its blades to enhance slicing power. It's much more effective than using the blades without, but also requires recharge time after each use.
Shield - A standard force-field shield is generally front-facing, unless otherwise stated. These shields can be held up for a long time, but their "life" is shortened when deflecting attacks. Standard shields can withstand attacks from low-power beam weaponry and missiles. They cannot withstand an attack from charged blades or particle cannons.
High Intensity Shield - A more powerful shield, also front-facing unless stated otherwise. It has a stronger "life" and can deflect more powerful beam attacks. It still cannot withstand attacks from particle cannons.
Ice Armor - Ice Armor is a specially designed armor system for defense against laser weaponry. It is extremely reflective.
High Intensity Blade Attack - The most powerful blade attack; it infuses the energy generated by a shield to the laser power of the blades to create a much stronger laser blade. Its striking distance also increases, and it can easily slice through thicker armor and all shields.
Evolt - The Evolt System is a powerful regenerative system. It is used by compatible Zoids to repair itself, or change forms altogether.
