Well, here's the thing - we who have played it know that Fire Emblem 8 is an incredibly easy game.
My question, though, is how one can add some challenge into it? Like, to put it on par with the difficulty level of Fire Emblem 6's Hard mode (since that is the hardest mode of any Fire Emblem i've ever gone through).
The restrictions I have in mind are the obvious - no training, no arena-abusing. What else can I do to make this game less ridiculously easy to play?
(Note that i'd still like it to be possible to beat. rofl )

It doesn't say anywhere that this is for Fire Emblem 8. Is it? It refers to an FE7 patch, so...idk.

1-don't use your hands. -- 2-kill every other character you can get. -- 3-blindfold.

Well, frankly, I don't think it's possible to make FE8 as difficult as FE6's Hard Mode. The game isn't particularly difficult even on Hard Mode with you completely ignoring arenas, skirmishes, towers and other such things. I suppose you could challenge yourself to using only mediocre units or something, but then it just becomes a gimmick, I've thought.

Tch... sweatdrop

How exactly do I apply the ips file? Also, how do I know it worked?

I sort of figured you knew how to apply patches playing FE6 and all.. rename it the same as the ROM minus the extension.

Oops...what I did was rename the game the same as the patch...
And how do I know if the patch worked?

You can tell it worked if the game is harder. EDIT: Sorry, at the branch point.

The Lolwut Pear You can tell it worked if the game is harder. EDIT: Sorry, at the branch point. Yeah...so what is an indication that it was applied that I can see before that point in the game...?
