[Since it's February, it is now Black History Month 2006. Please click the link to learn a little more about the major Black History Month facts.
In this thread, you can discuss your thoughts and feelings about the celebration, any traditions you have, etc.
African American History affects aspects of every race, nationality, color of American, so even if you aren't black, still feel free to play along with the games and voice your opinions.

*Judges are also eligible to play, (except me; I can't answer unless everyone is stumped, in which case no one gets the points), but I expect judges to be EXTRA-honest when giving answers since they are here to help protect the integrity of the game. surprised Judges can NOT answer their own questions for points. Duh.

I think there are other race months..or days. They just aren't widely know.
...
But yay to Black History Month. I wish I still had American History so I could talk about it with my peers but whatever.

(Why isn't there a (other race) Month?) rolleyes [Ebony Beauty is right: there are months dedicated to other racial heritage, they just aren't widely known by anyone who isn't that race; they might not even be known by people who are that race. razz
But, yes, a lot of kids (and adults, shamefully) on Gaia, do tend to do an unnecessary amount of complaining about Black History Month. rolleyes
I guess they think it's never been heard before. I guess they think they will change something or become popular (on a forum-based web community no less stare ). Whatever. It doesn't bother me anymore.] []

You're really stuck on yourself, but that's okay, it shows self-confidence, and Gaia is full of people with tendancies like yours, white, black, Hispanic and everything else. Women and black people can celebrate themselves and their history and suffering for one month, just as Soothsayer Jeckal celebrates his self-proclaimed greatness everyday. wink cool ] []
